Can anybody PLEASE supply me with step by step instructions to reset my email outgoing account. I'm desperate, I'm not very tech minded.. I completely lost the ability to send emails from TB weeks ago, receiving is no problem. If I can't get good assistance, I will be forced to find another service. Thank you

Around Dec.1-2022 I started receiving a "notice", asking for a donation to "Thunderbird". This was NOT an email, it just shows up EVERY TIME I go to the "Thunderbird" site. I DID send a donation to "Thunderbird", AND a like amount to "Mozilla", near the end of Dec. Even got a "thank you" response, for the donation. It is NOW 11 Jan. 2023, and I'm STILL getting a request for a donation, EVERY TIME I go to the "Thunderbird" site. How do I remove the DONATION request until late Dec. of 2023?? I have Thunderbird installed on several different machines and recently I noticed one is working very strangely.

The two biggest problems are:

1. If you go to search for emails, anything in 2023 doesn't show up.

2. When I Right Click to "Open Message in Conversation" the option isn't there.

What would be the smartest way to rectify this issue? I'm assuming an uninstall and reinstall might do the trick but I also read that potentially I can delete a file which will result in Thunderbird recreating it when opening again, which may do the trick.

Is there a message filter "Match" for email body?

-Thunderbird- I have used message filters extensively but wanted to get into more sophisticated filtering by searching for specific content in the body of an email after finding a specifc "Subject".

Under the "Match...." section, is there a way to add search inside the body of an email? I dont understand the CUSTOM choice where you can add an additional one with a name but no indication of what it is actually going to search.

Is the lack of search the "Body" correctable or is it something that has to be added to teh software?

If so, please direct me to the suggestion box.

Hello, I have the thread view off but it still groups email replies together and I have to expand each one. It also prevents emails from really being sorted by date as it will force emails from replies together under the oldest. How do I just show my emails individually as they arrived, not tied to any other email where I have to expand the original email? Especially when responses are from different people and it groups them under 1 name. Having threads turned off should have stopped them from grouping like that as it does in other email platforms. Thank you

I have a long established folder and have new emails in my inbox that I want to drag and drop into it. But I get the universal NO sign (circle with a bar through it) when I try. It's the only folder acting like this. It's also the only folder that has a magnifying glass icon on it. I checked properties and there was no helpful info there. Any ideas?

Hi, For about a month I have been having an issue with Thunderbird. When I press send on a message (any message) eventually I get an error message saying "The sending of the message failed. "

If I press ok, and go back to the same message and press send, it goes immediately.

This happens on my account, and my husbands as well (different computers).

I haven't changed any settings at all.

Any ideas?

Dear Sir/Madame, I am looking for a solution to can syncronise Tunderbird with mail server after deleting big amount of mails in Thunderbird. Unfortunately due to the current setup these mails were not deleted from the mail server, still occupying large space of storage. Is there a way to make a sync, where only those mails will stay on the server, which were left in the Thunderbird client after cleaunp?

Thunderbird 102.6.1 64 bit, on Windows 10. With an email open I used to be able to press "F" to open the next message, or "B" to open the previous message. Looking in the menu with an email open, Go /Next /Message F, Message F is grayed out. With an email open I'd like to be able to advance to the next message, or the previous message, without closing the email first. Is this functionality still present?

I can't send emails - this has happened before when Thuderbird is updated - in the past it eventually comes back - this time which has been several days - it still will not let me send - nothing has changed as far as my settings via my provider [Spectrum/Charter] - I have attached a screen shot of the error message I continually receive - please help

Who is the brilliant person who came up with the idea of having to use mail merge to send to more than one recipient?

I have used Mozilla almost my entire computer life but this is the feature that is finally going to drive me away to some other product. Sad... you used to be the best of the best but this is ridiculous. Why don't you simply add a half dozen or so buttons to click in response to an "are you sure" prompt?
