Since the last Thunderbird update emails to my POP accounts have stopped but I'm still receiving emails from my IMAP account on a different server. I'm running Thunderbird 102.0.3 under Windows 10. I know there should be emails to my POP accounts as I use a front end which lists the emails. I've tried not using the front end with the same results. My emails disappear! Please help me.

Any emails should be sent to rossjsmith68@gmail.com as it is the only account that is getting through.

Duplicate grayed out folders

Recently, all the sub folders in my email accounts now have grayed out duplicate folders that are empty. If I delete them, the next time I open Thunderbird, they are back. I've checked with my email provider and they don't have a clue why. The folders to DONOT show at the email server.

See attached picture. The folders I'm discussing start with "INBOX ...."

Apparently there's no way to get technical help other than posting to the community?

I just tried to sign into Thunderbird Support, and was informed that the system has changed to use Firefox logins. I went ahead and signed in with the email address I set up for Firefox Support years ago.

Now the problem is that I'm randomly assigned a username of firefox1922. I would like to change it to magicspeller, but it tells me another user already owns that username. I'm sure that user is I. Checking my password manager, I find that I have a login to Mozilla Support using the magicspeller username AS A LOGIN. The problem is that I cannot log in with magicspeller -- I have to use an email address. I don't know which email address I have associated with the magicspeller username; it was long ago.

What do I need to do to get an account using my magicspeller username?

I hope this makes sense. I appreciate any help anyone can offer me.

Hi everyone,

I need to apologize in advance, because I'm sure this question has been asked and answered before, possibly many times. However, I've tried searching with several different search terms, but I guess I haven't found a good combination, because I get hundreds of results and the first several pages don't have an answer for me.

I like to have my folders sorted so that the ones I use most are at the top of the folder list. Unfortunately, I tried doing this by dragging several folders into different positions in the folder list. Those folders ended up as subfolders of Inbox or other folders. I've since discovered the Manually Sort Folders add-on, but as far as I can tell, it will only let me move folders up and down, but not left or right to change the nesting level.

How can I promote these sub-folders to the top level in the folder list (in other words, move them to the left or remove the indent)?

Hello! Quick question, when I have Thunderbird (TB) running, when a new email comes in, I have to scroll down to see it, the emails don't automatically scroll up so that the new email shows at the bottom of the list. I have TB set up to show emails on top and a window underneath that displays whatever email I click on. I forget if this is the default view but I'm sure it's one that most people use.

I was just wondering if I'm missing something because I would think TB would, or should, automatically scroll down to show new emails as they come in so I don't have to. I couldn't find anything about this here or in TB options (other than Autoscrolling but that's on by default and I haven't touched it so it's still on).

TBird 91.x, POP3, Win 10 Spontaneously puts messages into trash (no reason) and trash spontaneously empties what's in trash. There had been a confIrmation script but I cancelled it and at least want it back. Or is there a way to rename the trash folder? Aside from other complications / time-wasting I lose important mail. I have my message filter set to match 'From Contains Screening'. I have 'Match any of the following' set with a check mark. I have 'Perform these actions' set to Mark As Read, and Delete Message. I have 'Apply filter when' set to Manually Run and Getting New Mail -> Filter before junk Classification.

But, after I open my TB, I see that this message is in the Junk box, not being deleted as I intended. Whazzup?

New laptop so needed to load Thunderbird. Previously emails in the Inbox when clicked on went from bold face type to regular type. Now they remain in bold face, no matter what is done, seemingly forever. Is there a way to get them to go to regular type? It is sure much easier for me to tell which ones I've already read. Hello, Since 7/7 2022 I have not been able to login to Thunderbird from any of my PC's. I get "authentication failed" message. When I login to ......webmail and input my password I can get in no problem. My mail is being relayed to my phone G-mail. My brother said that Mozilla switched servers about the time that my problem started occurring ( he is in charge of our family domain name). I'm sure it's a simple setting that changed but I am out of ideas. Thanks, Bob

I set up my first email account without incident - all the folders are there (inbox, draft, sent, trash). When I set up a second email account, only inbox and trash are there. I removed the account and set it up again - same thing.
