Since yesterday T'bird is not loading completely on startup. New MSGs are not shown in the inbox, tho I can find them in my gmail account. Other folders than the inbox are visible & apparently intact.

When I try to send a new MSG, I get a notification: ""Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because the connection to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.gmail.com timed out. Try again.""

And when I try to save a draft, I also get a notification: ""Your draft message was not copied to your drafts folder (Drafts) due to network or file access errors. You can retry or save the draft locally to Local Folders/Drafts-[blabla@blablabla].""

Import Email from Linux Mint Mate 20.3 to Thunderbird 91.5. I have been working on this problem since Dec 2021. And I want and need to preserve those emails that have a lot of history, personal and financial. You're help is most important. I have been at a number of Web sites that stated they could help but after some time it became apparent it was all out dated. What I am dealing with is now, I need you're help.

Please keep on mind I am not a Linux Professional. Do not confuse me please.

I have a new download Thunderbird 91.6 but I am concerned that the Emails that I have accumulated in 91.5 would be lost. Don't want that. Thank you so much for you're time and effort to solve this problemthat.

Additional Comment and hopefully use full. I have been with Linux Mint, and Ubunto (I know bad spelling) for some time. And when I did a new install that Email mail was always imported in to the NEW Thunderbird. Before this fiasco I was using Linus Mint Cinnamon 17.3 with Thunderbird 60.6.1. It worked perfectly. AND now you can imagine how I feel. Did I make a mistake?

I would appreciate an Acknowledgment that this has been received Please.

In Thunderbird 91.8.0 64 bit on Windows 11 Pro, when I delete an email from the Inbox it remains on the server. There's another identical problem on this from four years ago but the suggestions there don't work for me. I'm not using any filters and I tried doing a Compact Folder after deleting the emails. Didn't help. In Server Settings I have "Leave messages on server" and "Until I delete them" checked. But the deleted emails remain on the server. This used to work fine in my old Thunderbird 51 in XP. Same account, same server settings.

I used to keep my version of Thunderbird up to date until a few years ago when it removed my calendar link. I currently have version 52.6.0 installed, because that was the last version that didn't detach my to Google Calendar. Is that still the case or can I update Thunderbird without losing my calendar data?

I currently use Outlook as an e-mail client & wish to change to Thunderbird. However when I try to get set-up & after entering my e-mail address & password for that e-mail server, I get an error message saying the following; "Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, username or password." The problem is that my user name & password are correct! Please advise.

Hi, I've been having this issue since day 1. When I need to Reply or Reply All , TB doesn't pick up all past threads in the email I'm trying to reply or reply to all people. So when I click "Forward" , TB does pick up the past threads... but it's VERY INCONVENIENT and FRUSTRATING because, I have to put in all e-mails that I need to send back from scratch and sometimes I miss including some e-mail(s) this way, also I have to change "FW" to "RE" manually.

Does anyone know how to fix it, what I should do etc?


IS TB TEAM AWARE OF THIS ISSUE?

On my gmail account I am not getting sent emails from thunderbird in the sent folder I have checked its an IMAP account I have un checked 'place a copy' I have ensured 'show' folder is enabled in gmail web browser when I go to 'subscribe' there are no folders in list, even after 'refresh'

I am having an issue where when I try to load my IMAP attachments, they never load. On the top of the tab, I see next to the IMAP URL, there is a loading circle that never ends. I have been able to find just one fix: if I remote into the computer that is having this issue using a program called Parsec (www.parsec.app), the attachment immediately loads. As long as someone is remoting into the computer using this program, all attachments load with no issues and immediately. If I disconnect from the remote session and try to load a new attachment, they fail to load again.

Not sure what a remote session by this program has to do with Thunderbird's attachments, but there's obviously some sort of connection. Not sure where to start here, but any help would be appreciated!

The profile was stored in windows10 as C:\Users\19196\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\yrylq4gh.default-release It was stored in windows 7 as C:\Users\cramer\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\djeo8paf.default What I had to do was copy the windows 7 file and rename it to the windows 10 name and replace that file .

Thunderbird error "does not support selected authentication method" for NetZero account.

Last week, my settings for NetZero were okay, and downloading email normally. This week, it tells me "The server does not support the selected authentication method". I check in Account/Server settings, and find that the settings are exactly what they should be according to NetZero's suggested settings for Thunderbird. Is it safe to assume that if the password had changed (it didn't) that it would tell me specifically that the password was wrong?

My Thunderbird version is 100.0b1. I recall there was a place to find issues specifically related to beta versions, but I can't find it. Probably using the wrong search terms.

Server is pop.netzero.net (same as NetZero says to use, port 995 for Thunderbird) Connection security is set to SSL/TLS (Netzero says use SSL)

I'm using the Gmail SMTP, so that shouldn't be an issue.

Any idea why this would pop up over the last week?

I have the latest version of TB -- 91.8.0 (64-bit). All of a sudden about 4 days ago I get a popup window titled "One account. All of Google" when TB tries to download msgs from my gmail accounts.

I no longer can download messages from those gmail accounts.

I don't have an "options" selection under tools but if I choose "preferences" then "Privacy and Security" and scroll to "Web Content" I see that the box for "Accept cookies from sites" is already checked.

Advice elsewhere given here also says "The authentication should be OAuth2 for both the incoming and outgoing smtp servers" but I don't know what that means or where I can check if OAuth2 is the same for both.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

I know this has been asked and answered many times before but I just cannot add a gmail address, I have tried (I think) every suggestion under the sun but still I get Unable to log on to imap server Probably wrong config, user name or p/w. I have been trying for 4 hours now and really don't want to waste more time when the answer will be quite obvious. I added an address last week with no problems and the same with the other 4 on my machine. I have changed my p/w in gmail and seem to be using the correct outgoing and incoming details as advised and also the same set up as my other mail accounts. I have also checked the gmail advice but no help in this case. Is there any easy way out of my problem please

My Thunderbird updated (release 91.8.0, 32 bit, on Windows 10) and all my Local Folders disappeared. They held thousands of messages. Copying over the folders from a backup put the folders back in Thunderbird, but all the emails in the folders are not there.

All of my RSS feeds (4) have stopped simultaneously with this version. Attempts to re-connect have failed.

TB insists on adding entries like "feeds.json-12.corrupt"; there 16 of them now. Deleting them does no good, they are restored.

What happened?
