Thunderbird 115.3.3 64 bit has removed many used functions. The SEND button in 'Write" email has disappeared in TB v 115.3.3. I would like to revert back to v 115.2.3. Can this be done? If so, how? thank you for your help. I really like TB and all the capabilities but I do wish that the user interface would stay constant for a while and IF changes are going to be made that that is clearly revealed when released. thanks.

Hi My problem: My hotmail account will no longer send emails. The error message I get is

 From Microsoft: "We can't sign you in Your browser is currently set to block cookies. You need to allow cookies to use this service."    (NB my Firefox browser cookies is set to 'standard' and the settings had not been changed.  Plus I've tried playing with the settings, makes no difference)
  From Thunderbird: "Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because the connection to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.office365.com timed out. Try again."

When? Started on 6 or 7 Oct, At this point, both receive and send failed. Last message was just before a Thunderbird update. We were in France, using hotel internet, which Microsoft hates. (so I didn't try to fix it until we got home).

Other info: However my hotmail address still worked well on my laptop's Outlook; internet login, Thunderbird on another laptop (Win 11, and more recent installation of Tb) and on my phone (Android, FairEmail), ie has not been blocked. My usual laptop is Win 10. All other emails within my Thunderbird are working fine. The outgoing SMTP for hotmail is: smtp://smtp.office365.com (smtp://smtp.office365.com) See image attached.

What since: A forced update of Windows (as rec'd by local techy) restored the receive function and speed, which had become sluggish. Hotmail still can't send. I've logged in and out of my microsoft account online, and have changed my MS password (and therefore that of my hotmail account), plus restarted everything lots of times. No difference. I have not got office365 except what came free with windows. I avoid office/MS apps where possible.

PLUS: Discovered that my Tb profile is humungous, 45gb, of which a fair chunk is this last couple of weeks. Most of it is not visible emails. Any advice ? - can I start a new profile and ditch the old?

Formerly I could decide the window size for the number of minimum visible received emails in the list down to 3. But for any reason the minimum now is 10. Which does that… (read more)

I have a new computer that I have installed thunderbird on and have been using for a couple of weeks. I already migrated by address book over, but now need to just migrate my folders from my old computer. How do I only migrate folders and not my whole profile? I don't want to loose what I have on my new computer. I should mention I currently only have the folders in Thunderbird that are set up when you install the program. I have not made any new folders.

Anyway, when trying to create an email, and using the "Bullet" option, I install a bullet, then when I try to put a word in bold or regular text, the text jumps above the bullet. Also, when typing a line that is not bold, if I have to backspace for a spelling error, it turns the font to bold every time. It seems there are a lot of bugs when writing emails now. Try using "bullets" in an email and try to type behind that bullet and see what happens.

Is there a practical solution to downsizing the inbox display. I usually keep only 3 or 4 messages in the display box so I can see the current message completely. What I have now is a minimum of 9 messages displayed and I can't see the entire current message in the current message window. It is unacceptable.

Issue Description: I frequently encounter unresponsiveness and application crashes while using Thunderbird version 115 and subsequent updates. Even in the latest version, such as v115.4.1, the problem persists. I would like to know what measures should be taken to resolve this issue.

Operating System: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit

Please note that I have tried multiple versions of Thunderbird, and this issue occurs consistently across multiple installations. It hinders my ability to effectively manage my email using Thunderbird. I am looking for relevant support and solutions to address this problem.
