Few weeks ago my Linux Thunderbirds (on 2 different machines) stopped being able to send normal sized attachments. So, I upgraded to Fedora 35. Thunderbird 91.2.0 will send an 10.6 kB .odt; but will not send a 40.8 kB .odt. I changed mailnews.tcptimeout to be 4000 (then 500000); which did not help. I also changed the size of attachments that can be sent to 30MB. Thunderbird 52.4.0 on Fedora 25 also does not work in this regard. Fedora 25 worked fine for years; mid/late Oct. it started failing as indicated above. However, two Macs (2 different machines) work as expected/normal with the same Thunderbird account settings as the above Fedora Thunderbird account settings. Linux machines fail, Macs do not.

Dear Mozilla I use Thunderbird Portable 91.3.2 version. I turned on „Use the system notification” when new messages arrive. That’s working, but it displays the Thunderbird „TaskBarIDs” from the Windows registry, as seen on the picture. How can I fix this, to use the app name instead of TaskBarIDs? (Ie. what is missing from registry?)

thanks Best Regards Zoltan Nagy

this is odd... For some years now Tbird has downloaded every email I get from my gmail account address. Until this morning when it failed to download two important business emails. How did I know that those emails were not downloaded? I checked mail on my android and the messages were there. And I went online to gmail and they were there. But still not downloaded into Tbird. Seems that they are the ONLY messages missed. Those two missed emails were from a client with a gmail address.

I have Tbird 91.3.2 (32-bit) Win 10

Thunderbird 94.02 in Windows 10 Pro/Windows 7 Pro Several users I support frequently send attachments to their email recipients. They wish to open the attachment from the pending email to assure themselves that they chose the correct file. Frequently, but not always, the system reports it cannot find the supposedly file. This is an ongoing and very concerning issue for these users.

Why is Thunderbird taking up to 27 seconds to send an email? Sometimes it sends instantly but rarely. Sometimes get sending message error. (Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because the connection to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtpauth.atmc.net timed out. Try again.) Running Win 10.0.190.042, Thunderbird V91.3.0 64 bit. All server info has been verified by providers tech support. Norton 360 is current.

All the older versions were instant.

Been using Thunderbird for years. Love it. Recently updated my desktop to Windows 11. Ever since then it has froze on startup and is very slow to open messages and occasionally freezes especially when opening a message with attached images.

I'm running a 7th gen i5 which Microsoft says isn't supported but every other program I use on the system works normally. Its just Thunderbird that has "fallen over".

I'd hate to have to give up using it but it is becoming very frustrating to use. For example. On booting the computer this morning, Thunderbird sat locked for just under 3 minutes.

Anyone else experienced this?

I am on the Thunderbird beta channel. Every version up 93.0b2 everything works fine. However, when I update to versions 93.0b3 to latest 93.0b5 will give me following error:

"Unable to connect to your IMAP server. You may have exceeded the maximum number of connections to this server. If so, use the Advanced IMAP Server Settings dialog to reduce the number of cached connections."

I have searched support and tried posted solutions from threads here and here but no help.

I believe it is just the latest versions because if I uninstall v93.0b5 and remove all profile/configurations and re-install version 93.0b2 again everything works fine.
