Immediately after updating to version 128.x a few weeks ago, the Calendar app hangs every time I save an event or dismiss a reminder. It shows the spinning circle and Windows says "not responding" for 60-90 seconds at least every time. It was fine before this update but this issue started immediately after updating to 128.x - has anyone else seen this?

Thunderbird keeps crashing on startup with msg: Crashed Thread: 4 Breakpad ExceptionHandler

Exception Type: EXC_CRASH (SIGKILL (Code Signature Invalid)) Exception Codes: 0x0000000000000001, 0x0000000000000000

Termination Reason: Namespace CODESIGNING, Code 2 Invalid Page

So, it looks like the the app "signature" is corrupted. How do I remove signature and and correct for valid signature. Thanks.

Installing my Gmail's address book should i import it? should i use my Gmail address? to identify the address book? for example: When writing an email i must type the recipient's email address. Thunderbird is not referring my gmail's address book.

I would want to be using my personal address book that is in Gmail.

Gmail is already sync'd to Thunderbird and appears to be functioning correctly except for the above issue. thanks for any guidance, DW

All my email accounts are hosted at siteground. I recently created a new domain, website, and two email addresses there. Siteground support tested the new email addresses and said they work fine. But when trying to set up these new email accounts in Thunderbird - 128.5.2esr (32-bit) - I keep getting error messages. I know the passwords are correct because I checked them in Settings. After the first step in setup, I always get "Configuration found at email provider". If I click "Done", I get "Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, username or password". If I click "Configure manually" and then "Re-test", I get "Thunderbird failed to find the settings for your email account".

I had a university email account in Thunderbird, and then I attempted to delete the email from Thunderbird as it had been deactivated. I deleted its entries from saved passwords / the calendar. However, I'm still getting a googleapis.com login prompt every time I open Thunderbird, although I can find no references for it anywhere.

The answer to the linked question recommends checking the address book for a caldav link to the old account, but I don't see anything like that so either I'm looking in the wrong place or that's not my problem.

I appreciate the help, I love Thunderbird but this is getting really annoying.

All the emails (about 100) suddenly disappeared from one of my folders. They are there when I search, but the program won't open them. In the explorer, in the profile folder, both the 'cur' and 'tmp' folders are empty. I didn't delete them, nor were they moved to another folder. I tried the 'repair folder' method, but it didn't help. How can I somehow bring them back?

Such an annoying problem with current version 128.5.2esr. On one notebook with Windows 11 Hone I install the latest version (no Thunderbird previously installed), works fine.

One another notebook with Windows 11 Home existing Thunderbird freezes. After startup it just hangs, using so much CPU, that the battery is half drained after 30 minutes. Then reinstalling does not help. The same issue persists.

I read that uninstall does not remove the profiles and that cause the issues. Is that possible. Feature request. Also it would be fine to have the option to remove the profile on uninstall, so the non-tech savy user has also a chance of using this client.

I have pop accounts set up for my business. Ever since the last Thunderbird upgrade, I've been seeing messages download and then immediately disappear. Some of these have been critical things that I needed to get, and I've had to ask the sender to repeatedly re-send them before they stopped disappearing as soon as they came in. They have been from a wide variety of sources, including the US government, so it's not a problem with the sender. I've used Thunderbird for all the years that it's been available, without any problems ever, until this began. Please fix it, whatever it is!
