Is there a set of instructions I can use to help me sort out login and settings problems. A wizard would be ideal but I am not starting from scratch, I just want to fix up errors I may have caused by changing settings on my accounts in order to overcome problems which have occurred recently. My original emails were with TPG who got taken over by the Message company. I had an idea that oauth2 was possibly involved in the problem, so I havechanged settings and now don't know how to fix it. I have set up my own domain guytec.org using Namecheap. The alias for email is tguy. I have pointed this new email to my gmail address. I can receive emails into my thunderbird Gmail box from tguy@guytec.org. I want to write emails with sent from tguy@guytec.org showing? How??

Guten Tag, ich habe soeben eine einmalige Spende überwiesen. Wahrscheinlich hat die Überweisung per Kreditkare funktioniert. Dabei wunderte mich, dass ich, obwohl ich bei meiner Bank die 2-Faktor-Authentifizierung aktiviert habe, meine Banking-Sicherheit-App keine Bestätigung verlangte. Bei andern Überweisungen auf diversen Webseiten funktionierte das stets. Unterstützt Thunderbird Mozilla die 2-Faktor-Identifizierung nicht? Das wäre schade. Und ich habe keine Gefühl dabei.

I recently installed Thunderbird 128.3.1esr (64-bit) on Ubuntu 24.04.1. I'm experiencing some odd behaviour when I sort by date, then Group by date. I generally see multiple instances of a group: typically I see multiple 'Older' groups, one at the top and one at the bottom. I restarted Thunderbird with extension disabled and the multiple Older group is gone but now I see multiple 'Today' groups. I've attached a snapshot.

Not sure if it's related or not but often the inbox is not updated with new mail even though it's set to check for new automatically every few minutes (or if I manually update). Meanwhile, mail updates on my phone immediately.

I thing Thunderbird is the nicest email to use but

I have an old "live" account, a "G mail" account and a newer "Outlook" account. They all receive emails fine. The G mail account will send emails. The other two will not. Can I get the setting for smtp for both live and outlook please. I have searched for some time and find different suggestions. Thank you, Garry

Recently for no apparent reason I'm not receiving any emails to my email accounts. This happened about 2 weeks ago, after some clicking I was ask to authorize some form and this resolved the difficulty. However it has now returned with a vengeance and none of my accounts are receiving any emails. I have not made any alteration or tampered with any account settings. Yesterday the emial system was operating perfectly but today absolutely nothing only the emails received yesterday are showing. All I get is a notice advising that whatever email address I click on "connected to emap@ gmail.com" or what other incomming connecting is used. My FireFox was updated about 2 hours ago whilst trying to open my emails. Can someone help or do I close the account ?

I recently received an update on my Iphone 14. I have files set up to see on my phone that mirror my desk top. When I drop an email into a file I can see it on my desktop but it does not appear on my Iphone. Please help me figure this out as I do a lot of business on my phone and must be able to access these out of office.
