I'd like to resize an embedded image in an email. The bottom right handle is on the far right side. If I attempt to hover over the handle a scrollbar obscures the handle: it is not possible to grab it and resize the image.

How do I resize large images in Thunderbird emails?

I have released Easy Table Editor by Cardella, a free and open-source extension created to make HTML table editing easier inside Thunderbird's message composer.

The extension adds a table editor directly beside the message formatting controls and includes:

• Mouse-drag selection of multiple cells • Simultaneous formatting of selected cells • Column and row resizing with the mouse • Row and column insertion or removal • Cell merging and splitting • Header-cell conversion • Text, background, border and alignment controls • Clean, modern table templates • The ability to save the current table as a reusable model • Interface localization in ten languages

The extension works locally. It does not use analytics, tracking, external servers or remote resources. Saved table models remain in Thunderbird's local storage.

I am struggling to set up calendar and contacts sync between Thunderbird (v155@ubuntu26.04) and my google account. I use a university account to access google services, so my google account is not some.name@gmail.com but some.name@myuniversity.cz. I understand that Thunderbird somehow needs to invoke OAuth2 process with google, but I do not know, what to fill in the "Hostname" or "Location" fields for Contacts and Calendar, respectively. Any help? Thank you.

I am using Thunderbird 140.12.0esr 64 bit under Linux. I was obliged to change my Gmail password. I deleted my Gmail account from Thunderbird. I than proceeded to Add a new account and entered my Gmail account and new password. A blank window popped up: 'https://accounts.google.com/o/oauth2/auth?response_type=code&client_id=406964657835-aq8lmia8j95dhl1a2bvharmfk3t1hgqj.apps.googleusercontent.com&redirect_uri=http%3A%2F%2Flocalhost&scope=https%3A%2F%2Fmail.google.com%2F+https%3A%2F%2Fwww.googleapis.com%2Fauth%2Fcarddav+https%3A%2F%2Fwww.googleapis.com%2Fauth%2Fcalendar&login_hint=gizzenbriggs%40gmail.com' I suspect that this is from Google asking me to confirm my password. Unfortunately the window is blank and I cannot enter anything. Consequently I cannot add a new email account to Thunderbird.

Grouping emails is awesome. Also have the preview show a bunch of compressed email info when a group is selected. However if the group contains only one email nothing is previewn. Is this a bug or a feature?

I bought a new computer and want to transfer my emails, calendar and anything else to start using Thunderbird and lightning. I don't want to lose any information. I hope it will be seamless as I use it for business. Both Computers are Dell Laptop with Ubuntu . I am just really old and not too savvy with tech stuff. In the process of changing from Windows to Linux, I have entered the details of my email account and it is fine when I press re-test, but when I press done it is not fine anymore. The email is “freeuk.com” which is still active but Freeuk itself isn’t, but the service was taken over by Claranet with a “clara.net” setting, so I imagine that may be relevant. Any help (not too technical please) would be appreciated. Thanks.

Just checking when ThunderMail and Pro will be available? I'm in need of email services for my small business and just don't want to subscribe to Google. I love Thunderbird, glad it survived so many transformations over decades and would like my subscription contribute to further development.

Thunderbird 140.7.1 i have a subfolder called "purchases" which I add to on a regular basis. Suddenly no messages appear after May 2014 I have logged in directly to the mail server, and all the missing messages are definitely on the server. I have checked the local filters, none are set. I have tried properties/repair. I have tried removing ~/.thunderbird/xxx/ImapMail/mail.myserver.com.au/INBOX.sbd/purchases.msf

Could it be a problem with dovecot indexing on the server? all the other subfolders seem to work fine. It's just this one.

I am trying to set up my t-online.de account on Thunderbird, so far without success. A message appears: Thunderbird failed to find the settings for your email account. I don't know where I am going wrong.

None of your "topics" addresses my issue at all. Where is your user manual? I'm trying to figure out how your "retention" works. Also how to get a message filter to run on a specific folder daily.

I'm reading the question Thread's broken sorting makes it completely unusable and I have to agree that order of messages within thread is not the best one - ascending. For example, I am subscribed to a forum messages and I'm getting all the notifications for a topic to a thread. Currently I have like 85 messages in a thread and to see the newest one I have to scroll all the way down each time - scrolling 85 messages is a lot and it is getting worse because the number of messages keeps growing. After I've seen the newest message, I have to scroll all the way up to close the thread. (or am I missing something - perhaps some shortcuts?)

But I guess for some such ordering is obviously fine. Hence, I guess, an option how to sort threads might come handy. Perhaps even having a default sort order and an override per thread?

PS. funnily enough, I'll have the same issue with notifications for this question :)

Since a few days, there seems to be an italicized copy of each folder in my mailbox. I tried multiple times to delete them, but, although they seem deleted, they appear again when I start up Thunderbird. I already contacted the hosting service, but they replied that this is an issue of Thunderbird.

Help setting up first email account (protonmail.com) Keep getting: "unable to login at server, ether config, or credentials" error.

Is Thunderbird not compatible with Earthlink email? I can't seem to get my account added. All of the information is directly from my earthlink account set up information but I just get messages saying the configuration is wrong or password etc. I have checked and rechecked, reset the password multiple times so it is definitely the right password yet it fails to connect. if it simply can't be added I get it and will move on but I have no issue setting it up to other accounts so I just want to be sure I am doing it right and that it is in fact compatible. thanks for any help.
