I started having problems with newsgroups sometime after updating to TB version 102. I'm not really sure exactly when.

I started noticing that when I check for new messages, only about 1/2 of them are getting downloaded.

This even happens for messages from the same poster. I may get some of their messages downloaded and some not downloaded.

This happens from 3 different news servers, eternal-september, paganini bofh, and solani so the problem doesn't seem to be on their end.

I installed XanaNews 1.21 awhile back and using it I get all messages including those that are not downloaded by TB.

I just upgraded to TB 102.11.2 when it came out and I am still having the same problem.

Any help appreciated.

I have not received emails addressed to the three accounts we originally set up years ago. The only email that has come through is one from xfinity which uses the xfinity account name. I logged onto xfinity and no new messages are residing there. I've downloaded a couple of the Mozilla help articles but don't seem to be getting anywhere.

when i get a new email it triggers the generic notification event and not the new mail event so if i want to get a quack when i get a new email i have to get a quack for all generic notifications using the system notifications. Now if i use the thunderbird notifications(which i actually like better) i can change the sound and all but i get the notification when playing video and games, even in game mode.....it blocks the system notifications.

BTW loving the new beta thunderbird right now especially the card view for messages

I got a new laptop, and reinstalled my Thunderbird. Now, all emails I send are being saved in TWO copies in my Sent Items folder. My "Copied and Folders" settings for sent mail are currently set for "Other" and "Sent Items on [+my email address]". Does anyone know how to eliminate this weird duplication? Thanks.

Using TB version 102.10.1. Been recently getting messages from three different senders that I wish to delete before they hit my inbox. I read the help article at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/blocking-sender and followed the directions to set up a Block List filter, adding the senders to it. It seems to work automatically for two of the senders but not the other...I have to manually run the filter to make it work. Seems kinda pointless when, if it hits my inbox, I can just delete it anyway. Any ideas why it is still getting through the filter and how to fix it? See screenshots attached.

I just imported my Google Contacts into Thunderbird (102.11.2) Address book. I verified that entries contain a first name, last name, and one or more email addresses. Yet when I try to address an email within Thunderbird WRITE dialog by entering a few letters in the 'TO' field, all that shows up are email addresses that match....no names. In other words, if I type 'John Jones', only email addresses that happen to have those letters appear; not the entry for John Jones that contains his email address.

Do I not have some setting set correctly, or is this a limitation that matching only occurs within the email address itself (which i hope is not the case).
