I want to move TB from a win 7 machine on the C: drive to a win10 machine on the E: drive. I downloaded a fresh copy of TB to the win 10 machine and installed it in the D: drive. Completed set up and can send/receive emails. I copy/paste the profiles folders using a usb stick, putting it in the same folder on the D: drive as TB. However, TB doesn't see it. In Troubleshooting help, Environment variables, it clearly shows the roaming folder as C:, while the program is clearly D:. What have I done wrong and how do I correct it please? I upgraded to 115.3.1 from 102.15.1 this week. I do not understand the large increase in version number, but I have not done any searches. I have a number of complains with this new version.
1) I want to move one message to a Local Folder, and I get the message at the bottom "nn messages moved from Inbox to Tr.ash". The one message I wanted to move remains in the Inbox, and I have to move it again. When I try to move them again, the folder displayed is NOT the one into which I had just tried to save. I have no idea if any messages were moved from Inbox to Trash, and I have no idea how I would find them.
2) The font size in the window is smaller than it was with 102, and there is blank space on the right. Is there a way to increase the font size?
3) I read one mail message and I process it (delete it or save it in a Local Folder). Most of the time, the next message in the Inbox is opened. But sometimes the window advances to a message further down in the Inbox, and I then have to go back into the Inbox to access then next message I was planning on reading.

I decided I needed to use a password to enter my emails. By following my nose, I went to settings and checked the box to use a primary password. It then asked for a password. I typed it in... twice. Once, then confirm. Now, I can't enter my email no matter how many times I type in the password. I've tried resetting the password by going to chrome://pippki/content/resetpassword.xhtml. It says password was reset but nothing has changed, it did not ask me for a new password, and I still can't get in. Frustration has set in. Thank you for any help you can give tome.

I have two Firefox email systems. One works perfectly. The other suddenly stopped showing the screen of inbox messages. I can scroll over the blank space and the message will display in the lower part of the monitor, but not in the upper screen of subjects, sender, date. How do I return to default setting?

I would be grateful if anyone could offer a solution.
I use Thunderbird Version 91.9.1 on a Windows 10 PC. I am in England UK. I have several gmail, outlook and gmx email accounts, which i use in one desktop client for convenience. It used to be MS Outlook, but now I am using Thunderbird. All my emails are setup as as IMAP.
In my email accounts I have many folders, and there are some messages which I need to update regularly. I originally created these messages in 'drafts' in MS Outlook and then moved them to their different folders where i can edit them. MS Outlook allows you to edit messages in IMAP folders, i.e. you can treat them as 'drafts' as long as you created the message.
In Thunderbird, my IMAP messages which I can usually edit in MS Outlook, are not available to 'edit'. They open as templates.
How can i change this? How can I continue doing this in Thunderbird? I don't mind setting all my messages as 'drafts' if there is only one setting.
I don't want to contemplate the other option of moving the message to the draft folder to edit and then move it back. That would be very inconveniet as i have many emails, each with different folders. In a nutshell, I want to be able to edit messages in my IMAP folders, the messages I have created myself.
Any advice welcomed and I thank you in advance.

I work with a number of people where I need to copy and paste in words from Greek or Hebrew into my English text to be read in the letters from original language (Greek or Hebrew) NOT in English letters. I used to be able to do that without any problem a few years ago, but your current versions keeps changing the text into its perceived English equivalent. How do I get Thunderbird to STOP doing this and instead allow me to copy and paste words from another language into my discussion text so the person looking at the words I copied and pasted, knows exactly what word I used, not some transliteration of that word?
Example: "We turn to Liddell-Scott unabridged: “cristo,j, h,, o,n, (cri,w)..." As you can see, instead of showing the word in Greek letters, it shows it in English letters. Liddell-Scott is a lexicon for Greek words. I need the ability to have the letters show up in the original language. This is essential for clarity.

Deleted messages used to stay in my Deleted or Deleted Messages folders until I manually deleted them. (I kept them for several months in case of late disputes with correspondents). However, they are now vanishing after a few days. Retention policy on each is 'Use my AC settings' and 'don't delete messages.' Any advice please?
