IMAP accounts, every time I open Thunderbird it has to authenticate and down load all my email; why isn't my all my current email available? And yes in settings I have "Keep messages in all folders for this account on this computer" checked. And yes in "Advanced" settings all folders are checked.

When attempting to set up an e-mail account for Zoho e-mail I get an authentication error. It says: "Unable to log in. Probably wrong configuration, username of password." I disabled Account Hub, tried again, but this did not solve the problem, and I get the same authentication error. I tried several other things, using manual configuration, copying instructions from the Zoho website, but none of them worked. They all ended with the error message, "Thunderbird failed to find the settings for your email account." The server and port settings are correct. The username and password are correct. What is the problem?

Hi, I have changed my PC and in setting up Thunderbird I find I can only add two accounts. I cannot find a way to add that third address and account. I am looking for help with that, please.

I was not receiving emails from a Comcast.net email account. I called Best Buy and they used remote access to fix the problem. That fix included deleting and reinstalling the email account. After hanging up with their tech, I notices that dozens of folders and thousands of emails from the last 12 years were gone. I called the Geek Squad back and they could not solve the problem. Are the missing emails still on my computer somewhere? If not, can Comcast recover them? Please help!

Hi I wanted to add my @live.de (Outlook) email account in Thunderbird. I entered the email and got redirected to Microsoft oauth, which I granted. After some loading I was presented a screen, where I should enter my password and username (again). After doing so I see a "Exchange auth error". I guess this means I somehow got in the exchange funnel, which is not fitting for my private outlook account. I was left in this state with back bringing me to the first view (before oauth) and continue gives me the error.

I could solve this problem by disabling the new account setup hub and setting it up using the old one.

If this experimental feature is enabled by default, you need a "something is not working please take me to the old version" button in the footer. I did not find any ways to report this bug, so I hope here is the right place.

seit einem automatischen update ( 149.02 ) am 08,04.2026 bekomme ich kein e-mails mehr. Auch senden klappt nicht. Anzeige = Zeitüberschreitung. Internet Verbindung ist vorhanden, Einrichtung einer zweiten e-mail Adresse funktionierte. mail antworten bitte unter X@gmail,com ( X@rz-online,de klappt ja nicht )

All old cmptr usb ports fail.. copied most data to new computer but Moz. Thndrbrd did not copy. Installed NEW Tndrbrd and got mail, but only last 4 weeks or so since failure. Copied ALL Moz. Thndrbrd files from old to Thumb drive. Old system had 70 files, 10 folders (11*.exe, 31 *dll, 4*ini, 297MB) and 5 single element files. New Thnddrbrd has 72 files, 12 folders, 55.7MB. Could find NO hidden files / folders on either unit. Suspect all recoverable OLD mail on thumb drive but do not know how to recover. H E L P ! ! Hi, What is the "@?" for Thunderbird? For gmail it's @gmail.com for hotmail it's "@hotmail.com. Eventually I want to rid myself of gmail. Thanks

I noticed that when replying to messages that have a reply-to header, my own message is not included in the thread with the first message. There is, however, a small "reply" icon next to the email in the list. Is there a setting I need to toggle, or should I report a bug?

I am running Linux Mint and Thunderbird 140.9.0esr (64-bit). When I try to setup my Comcast email account I get errors and the program basically stops. For example "can't access property "cleanup", this [#configVerifier] is undefined". When I allow Thunderbird to do the initial search and follow its recommendation I get this error: Error creating account Incoming server already exists

I have Tbird running on two other computers THAT HAVE BEEN TURNED OFF. I noted that if I tried setting up Tbird on my newest Mint installation, i.e., Tbird running on my Windows machine, it would also fail to make the account.

I am at a loss as to what is going on. Any ideas???

Since April 9, 6:14 PM CDT, most folders (e.g., Drafts, Templates, Sent) on my primary laptop in my primary POP email account, [edited]@bdcusa.com, have disappeared; and ALL SUBfolders in my Inbox have disappeared. Over 185,000 emails have vanished overnight!

On my primary laptop, I'm using Thunderbird 149.0.1 (64-bit) on the release update channel, still running 64-bit Windows 10 Professional, and have nothing backed up to the cloud.

Fortunately, on my secondary laptop, I'm using Thunderbird 115.18.0 (32-bit) on the esr update channel, running 32-bit Windows 7 Professional. I say, "fortunately," because ALL folders and emails are still there, so I know they haven't been vaporized!

How do I return all folders and emails for this email account to visibility and access on my primary laptop? Detailed directions appreciated.

Win 11 running on Dell Vostro laptop, I recently updated to Thunderbird Version 149.0.2 (64 Bit) Beta. PLEASE NOTE been using Thunderbird Email client for 5 yrs now always kept it updated to latest version ... Most recently updated to version above... Now in Local Folders lists a DELETED folder ,and instead of a SENT folder , seems it has been replaced by a new folder tagged OUTBOX. I have no problem with that if my previously sent items over many yrs use, where displayed there, but nope.... content zero.

If I use the search facility in Thunderbird it finds most recent and previous messages list of my emails for that one recipient searched for only . However would be much happier if I could just see all SENT items in one folder under LOCAL FOLDERS , TAGGED INBOX or SENT .... I dont mind how its tagged .

So in conclusion I am not a computer wizard if a fix is known for this I kindly ask. Please provide step by step instruction in your answer .

Or do I wait till next Thunderbird software update for a solution ?

I am having an issue sending emails from one of my email accounts. I keep getting an error when logging in.

The account email address is xxx.ca@hotmail.com. Is the .ca causing the issue? I can't seem to change the name in Outlook Exchange.
