How do I report an issue with the way NVDA and Thunderbird interact? When I tab, I can't out of a link, and the focus does not move. If I tab to a link in a message then arrow down, I am where I expect, but then if I go to the top of the message, the tab focus remains where it was when I last hit the tab key. This is not standard behavior, but everyone else I've talked to seems to think it's behaving normally and has no tips for me on how to fix it.

I have an intriguing problem. I am using the latest version, currently 128.8.1 (automatic update), Windows 11 is also updated. Desktop computer, Ethernet connection, network speed 900mbps.

I use 10 accounts in the program, most of the time the program connects only to gmail accounts, and IMAP accounts from other providers are constantly being connected. Sometimes hours pass until a new message appears in the program (there is no message download, simply, the other accounts are as if without updates). Messages can be sent, but a network error message appears, informing that the message has been sent but not saved.

I know that the mail arrives because I use a different device, I only have the problem on this equipment.

Drivers are up to date, Thunderbird reinstalled, started in maintenance mode, database re-indexed. Nothing helps.

I cannot use thunderbird as it will not accept my password, no matter how many times I tried and changed my password. no place to go to get help ....server imap comcast failed eeehhh gadz what a nightmare.

I had an update several nights ago. Last night when I went to check emails, on the left side of my emails, some of my options are missing, sent, drafts, trash, unsure of others. I do use these options, would love to have them back!! My hubby & I have both looked at everything we can think of while in Mozilla Thunderbird, but not finding how to get these options back. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

What happens to attachments in gmail emails when they are detached from emails in Thunderbird?

I'm trying to save space in my cloud storage so have been detaching large attachments from emails in Thunderbird.

It seems though, that when I look at gmail, the attachments are still part of the email.

What is meant to happen to the original gmail emails?

Is there a 'detach' function in gmail?

Windows Live Mail finally stopped working for me. I tied both gmail desktop notifications and Outlook and kept having the same problem: I'd get a pop-up for 3 seconds saying I had an email in another account and then it would disappear. There was no record of it in "Notifications" like there was for WLM.....so, if I didn't see it pop up, I'd never know.....which takes away the main purpose of having it.

So, I decided to try Thunderbird and get the same problem. A very brief pop-up saying I got an email and then it vanished....with no record. So, if I was in the kitchen or bathroom, I'd never know about it.

Any suggestions?

I have a new HD and installed Linux Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS. I installed Thunderbird version 2:1 snap 1-Oubuntu3. The program will not open Just get "Your Thunderbird profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible."

This is Thunderbird on Debian Trixie. It seems no matter which theme I use under XFCE4 in Thunderbird when I reply the quoted text in the reply is invisible, probably white on white. The quote "bars" at the side of the reply are visible in different colors but the text itself can't be seen. Any suggestions ?

Damage of all cyrillic symbols in subfolders' (not folders'!) names occurs after update from the latest minor version 128.x.x to 136.0.

The names of subfolders in Russian (marked in a large red rectangle) are damaged now. However, their names in the upper right zone (marked in a small red rectangle) near message count are shown correctly in Cyrillic (Russian)...

Notes: 1 - Subfolder names are broken (see the 1st screenshot). 2 - Folder names are good (see the 2nd screenshot). 3 - Some zones are faded by me in case of privacy.

How to fix it?

HOw do I find the "about" page to see what version of Thunderbird I have? When I open Tbird, it opens to the message page, with no way to go anywhere else. Settings doesn't show me a way. Windows 11 system.

My boss's Thunderbird email presentation appears far cleaner than mine, with a completely different interface despite us being on the same version of the application.

Can someone please help me transition? Screenshots attached.

Under no circumstances is thunderbird loading a profile (existing or newly built).No crash report. Completely empty. New installed program and/or new installed post boxes + copied Mail-folders from existing profiles into a new profile will work once or twice or a few more times. At least next day TB starts only complete empty. I tried to fix it many times - using corresponding different forums.

I forgot my password and am unable to login to investigate an issue. I recently installed a new modem and since then my incoming emails have dropped off to almost nothing. Wondering if there is a technical issue and how it may be resolved?
