1 - I started using Thunderbird - I had over 100,000 emails accumulated in Yahoo. It is my understanding that if I move emails from the inbox to a local folder that after processing they will be deleted from the server. It is a long show many day process. But even after moving many they don't seem to disappear if I look at the online yahoo website after a number of sessions of doing this.

2 - Now when I bring up Thunderbird, there is a strange bar through the email display. If I click on anything the strange bar just wiggles. It looks like a dialog box not fully formed. I cant answer what question that it asks so i am just locked up. I have uninstalled Thunderbird, did system maintenance, and reinstalled it. It changes nothing.

8 pictures attached to e-mail from gmail IMAP account when saved are each only 27 bytes and incomplete. Originally the attachments were not visible on the e-mail view, only in the list, but after the removal of the conversation view addon they became visible. They are complete in the gmail web interface. Thunderbird 78.11.0 on Linux

I've experimented with forwarding an email to a cellphone, which is received as an SMS. The problem is all the prefix information (entire From address, To Address, Subject, etc.) exceeds the standard SMS message length of 160 characters. There is no room for the actual message. The phone simply appends the word 'more?'; indicating that there was more that couldn't be included.

It would be very useful if a feature was added to Thunderbird's current email forwarding, whereby the message could be formatted as an SMS that includes only the basic From, and the Message-Body. Of course if the message-body exceeded the SMS length it would be truncated, but it would still be viewable in-part. I currently use a service that forwards SMS to Email; Thunderbird could then forward the emailed SMS to another phone.

I hope this suggestion is considered for future Thunderbird improvements.

My laptop was running really slow and a computer repair shop did a reload of the operating system to remove any issues. I am trying to install the other apps. When I installed TBird, I added 5 emails apps (2 comcast, 2 gmail, 1 sbcglobal.net). All emails are working and pulled in the right data even the archived data, except for the sbcglobal.net account. The sbcglobal.net account only pulled in emails from 5/17/21 to current. I had archived probably the last 3 years but nothing came through on sbcglobal.net. Is there a way to recover emails prior to 5/17/21 for the current year and also the archived emails on sbcglobal.net? I did use a secure mail key for sbcglobal.net. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

I created a " ...@mail.com " account and sent a test message to my "...@optusnet.com.au " address. When I opened the Optusnet address Inbox the Correspondents Column listed my own inbox address, not the Mail.com sender address. (with an arrow pointing to it). Is something set up in a wrong way?
