One would think it would be easy to drag and drop an existing email recipient into an existing mail list, but when dragging highlighted address to the mail list, instead of cursor going to a + sign it goes to an invalid circle with a line through it. And cannot right click an address to copy and paste on top of mail list. There must be a way to do this, even if in some obscure way. I am using Windows 10 and Thunderbird 102.6.1.

I just received the following message from GoDaddy. "There are email accounts in your organization using Basic Authentication, which Microsoft will no longer support after 05/26/2023. You'll still be able to access your email through your browser, but not from an email app, such as Outlook or Apple Mail — don't worry, none of your emails will be lost.

In order to continue using your email apps, you need to update your settings from POP/IMAP to Exchange for each device you use to check your email. This also applies to other users who are set up within your account using POP/IMAP settings. Here's how to update your email settings."

GoDaddy told me that I'd have to convert to Outlook or get my mail through my browser for my desktop, but that my phone would continue to work with Thunderbird.

I want to continue using the Thunderbird interface on my desktop. Can I do that?

Default browser

I can't access the internet because mt default browser. Firefox , has seemingly been usurped by Bing. If this must be the case, need I simply accept this change?

Can't add new contact to folder within PAB

I have folders set up with the PAB (Personal Address Book) and want to add some contacts to it. I select one of these folders from the left column, then click New Contact… (read more)

I have folders set up with the PAB (Personal Address Book) and want to add some contacts to it. I select one of these folders from the left column, then click New Contact and fill in the data. When I save it, it goes directly within the PAB and NOT in the folder I had selected! I have a lot to add into folders and it's a pain to have to subsequently find and drag them from the PAB.

What am I doing wrong? Or is this a bug or just poor design?

I have three computers, all on Windows 10. I also have my own domains. I am trying to change from POP to IMAP on all of the computers, and am having no success. I followed the instructions File->New->Existing account. IMAP was already checked, so I clicked on Done and it told me 'Incoming server already exists'. (Of course, I thought, it's an existing address.) Clicking on OK went back to Done and I can't get any further. The same thing happens when I click on POP to test it. I've been having a real battle with this, as I'm also trying to connect new addresses on the other domain, prior to eventually getting rid of the first one, and it doesn't like my password, even when I have just used it successfully on the host's webmail. I don't understand what I am doing wrong.

Hello Mozilla Support,

I am not able to send email. I receive the following message: An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: Spam detected by content scanner.

I have been using Thunderbird for several months and haven't had a problem sending email until now. I am definitely not sending spam. I haven't made any changes to my account or server and it is not due to a firewall.

Please help.

Anyone in the same boat and has any one figured out how to correct this glitch?
