When I use the "webmail" it goes through. There a conflict in formatting with TB and Network Solutions which just started this morning.

Thunderbird mail. I have several email accounts, SBCglobal and one Yahoo mail account. Starting yesterday I am getting this pop up when I open Thunderbird, see attachment. I don't trust the email address on the pop up so I went directly to Yahoo mail through Firefox, took care of a security condern after signing in on that account. Still getting this popup. How do I get rid of this annoying pop up please? Thank you.

I have some emails that are normal, some where the body is entirely HTML code or some where the body of the email is missing. I have tried some of the solutions posted such as Headers - Normal and Message body as - Original HTML code but none have worked. This problem seems to have coincided with the 102.0.2 update. Any help, much appreciated

I have been running TB 102.0 with no issues. Today TB updated to 102.0.1. TB no longer connects to my email. My ISP is Cox. I went into my Cox account and changed the password. Still unable to connect. I tried putting my credentials in (making sure they were identical to what has been working) and I receive the message "thunderbird failed to find settings for your email account". I am using imap.cox.net port 993 and SSL on the inbound side and smtp.cox.net port 465 SSL on the outbound side. Clearly I can access my email from a browser and I can access it from my iPad. What changed? What do I need to do differently? Thank you.

Hello,

I'm using Thunderbird 91.9.0 (32-bit) on Windows 7. It's connected to a Gmail account via IMAP. The account contains dozens of message folders. I want to hide some of those folders from the list of folders.

I tried unsubscribing from those folders. In the panel on left, I right-click my account name and select "Subscribe". The window that subsequently pops up shows all of my folders, and all of the checkboxes next to each folder are checked. I remove the checkmarks from each of the folders that I want to hide, and I click OK at the bottom.

However, after doing this, the folders still appear in my folder list.

When I reopen the Subscribe window, I see that the checkmarks for those folder are still removed. But the folders still appear in my folder list. Closing and restarting Thunderbird does not help.

Evidently, the Subscribe window does not function as I would expect it to. How can I make those folders go away without deleting them or removing them from Gmail's servers?

Google has announced that after May 30, 2022 third-party apps that log into google with account name and password (which I assume includes Thunderbird) will no longer be able to do so, as they will enable 2-step verification. I currently and for years have used Thunderbird to pick up my mail from 5 accounts, 3 of which are gmail accounts. Will I be able to continue using Thunderbird after May 30, 2022? I have been unsuccessful getting any helpful information from google itself. They don't have a list of "trusted" third party apps that will continue to work with them. Anything people know about this will be helpful to me and appreciated. Thanks.

When I try to send a Thunderbird I get a long error message, the short of it is "authentication required but not provided." I've explored the numerous solutions in this help area but I'm pretty sure I've done more damage than good. I can receive emails just fine. Thunderbird is very important to me, I love the architecture. I've tried the various solutions to the point I can't remember what I've done (horrible change management on my part). I'm sure something is wrong in the various settings and preferences but I'm so confused now I don't know what to do next. My thinking is I need to remove the preferences and account settings and start over. I even uninstalled the reinstalled, alas, it saves all those settings which are obviously wrong. I have my email address books backed up but I have exactly 100 saved email folders and I REALLY don't want to lose them.

 Another nagging issue is I have to enter my password to open emails every new time I start Thunderbird. Firefox isn't saving passwords but I really don't care about that.
 So I'm at the begging point, how do I resolve this issue - please. Thanks much for the product and any support you can provide.

Hi, I just got a new HP Windows 11 desktop. I used Thunderbird on my old Dell Windows 10 PC fine. I have Spectrum for email and it's time warner cable twc.com they are also Charter. My new PC came with a trial of McAfee. I am having a problem I saw someone else post where I can receive email but not send I get error about timed out and just now got this Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because connecting to Outgoing server (SMTP) .gmail.com failed. The server may be unavailable or is refusing SMTP connections. Please verify that your Outgoing server (SMTP) settings are correct and try again. I asked Spectrum if it had to do with Mcafee they said no to contact you all. They said my settings are right which I copied off my old PC. I thought I used to always be pop3 but they said it's imap. I receive just fine just can't send. It worked on my old PC fine. Thanks! After the update to 102.1.2, the unified inbox only contains emails from one of the accounts. The other accounts are still listed individually. Is there any way to fix the unified inbox so it includes all the accounts again?

I need to export my address book as in previous TBird versions (in my case, to a VCF file). The only option in vs 102 is to export (actually it's simply a backup) the entire account profile to a ZIP file. That doesn't get the job done. I need my address book in a format which can be input to my smart phone.

Hello. I did a "Search" in Thunderbird, but it seems to yield results of e-mails that have long been deleted and expunged. When the "results list" came up, I clicked on a few of the results which I thought had been deleted and emptied from Trash. After clicking on it, just a blank conversation came up. (So it seems it WAS deleted. Why is it appearing the search-results list?) Question -- (a) If the e-mail is really still there somewhere, then I can I access it? (b) If the e-mail is NOT there anymore, then I can I prevent the Search mechanism from showing non-existent results?

Hallo, I use pop servers for the download of my email messages. I have two accounts (telecom.de and web.de) In both cases the server settings are: fetch header only

After the update from 102.0.3 to 102.1.1 on 6th of august I get the headers, but I cannot retrieve the body of the message. This is the case for both accounts.

No thunderbird settings were altered. When I deactivate "fetch header only" the body of new messges in the in-box appear normally, but of course I prefer to see the header first, before I download a Message.

Is this problem known? Is there a way round?

I had Thunderbird Email installed on my laptop computer before having to reinstall windows 11. All my folders were set up and doing what I expected. Now, after reinstalling I can't get back to my original folders with all my important connections and business dealings.

Can you explain to me how I can retract and discover them? It's the same email of mshepherd@nctc.net. If not, it would be goodshepherd@nctc.net. The last email, I don't use any more.

Also, I'm like many on the web wondering why they are not able to send emails, but can receive them. Someone tried to help me in the past about this same issue, but I didn't understand what they were asking me to do. I need detailed instruction perhaps with picture diagrams. Sorry, for this reoccurring issue. Please, help me solve it.

I'm looking for a way to print all messages seperately in the selected folder in one run. I know, it's not of this volatile world anymore, but there are folders of which I would like to have hardcopies of the content. For instance: when I select the folder "Jeff" I see all messages from Jeff. Now I want to print them all as seperate messages to a printer, i.e. the PDF-printer. The PDF-name of the message could be '{Date (yyyy-mm-dd)} {Sender} {Subject}'. The luxe version of such a facility could be where one could choose between all messages in this folder, of all messages in this and all subfolders. Does a utility like this already exist? Or is there someone who wants to create such?
