Hi, I'm looking for some old emails from 2018-19 for an important project and I can find them in search but when I click on each email I just get a blank page. I can see they exist somewhere, as they are indexed, and I can read the first few lines, date and address etc, but not open them fully. I found this earlier which mentions sqlite? I don't know what that is or whether it might be part of the solution. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1018203

If anyone knows how to retrieve the content of these emails I'd be very grateful. Many thanks.

The email is sending in Gmail. I am receiving emails in this account, and now drafts are being saved but not sending. I have checked every setting and password. I am at my wits end. Copying a formatted message from T-bird to gmail is a big extra step. This is now a weeks worth of hassle. I've read every help article and most are fore MUCH earlier versions. I am fully updated on T-bird, Mozilla and using Windows 10. Two other gmail accounts are working fine on T-bird.

Using TB version 102.10.1. Been recently getting messages from three different senders that I wish to delete before they hit my inbox. I read the help article at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/blocking-sender and followed the directions to set up a Block List filter, adding the senders to it. It seems to work automatically for two of the senders but not the other...I have to manually run the filter to make it work. Seems kinda pointless when, if it hits my inbox, I can just delete it anyway. Any ideas why it is still getting through the filter and how to fix it? See screenshots attached.

I have two gmail accounts, both working perfectly for years. Lets call them A1 and A2. last week A1 all of a sudden stopped working. Google asked me password and second pass verification. But when trying to connect to google again a message "authentication error" arrived.

I then disinstalled TB and downloaded it anew. A2 started working immediately, but when trying to redefine A1 the above message "Unable to login..." appeared. I then tried to define A1 on the TB of the laptop of my girlfriend. There it started working without any problems. Both PC's have the same TB version and are working under Windows 10 with the same version. Seems to me very strange.

Any ideas?

I have been having this issue for some time. I tried updating to newer version several times and same problem.

Address Book will NOT delete contact. Causes a real problem as if you are not very careful it is easy to send email to a defunct email address.

This issue has been posted many times going back a year but no solution has been provided.

Even when there are multiple listing of the same contact it will not delete. I have tried all the suggestions from previous posts and none worked.

Would really appreciate some help with this.

The problem on Thunderbird 102.7.1 on linux Mint is as follows. 3 accounts with account folders are ok but in local folders there is a folder called 'Shopping' >15 In this folder after many folders there has appeared Shopping>15 entering this is , afer many folders duplicates of those in the original folder there is Shopping>14 Simply selecting and deleting the Shopping>14 causes Thunderbird to freeze for a long time, gave up at 5 mins. The profile is 13.1Gb but before the multiple Shopping incident it was 7Gb. Can anyone outline a path to recovery?

Hi there,

quite often now the search cannot find mails which I know they are there. Even the autocomplete from the CTRL-K search shows them.

For example, I start typing "globetr" to find mails from Globetrotter - the autocomplete finds somethin (see picture) but hitting enter just shows no results. This happend now a few times with different searches.

Anyone an idea how to fix this?

thunderbird 102.11.0 launch icon shows wrong number of messages unread. this release shows wrong number of unread messages in the launch icon, worked before the last update . . I think?? I am using a 64 bit win 11 laptop . . The window that pops up when i click on the icon with the red dot says I have 8 unread messages, when I only have 3 . . .the red dot goes away sometimes, but then when i re open thunderbird I hear a ding, and the red dot shows up again . . .

Hey,

Been using PGP with Thunderbird for some time and was wondering if there is a simple way to handle key migration.

Ex. I have my personal Key1 which is good for 3 years, then after three years I have a new key (Key2). Is there a way to re-encrypt all emails in my inbox to key2 from key1?

I don't want to loose my email archive when I change keys, nor do I want to keep an ever growing list of private keys just so I can refer back to older emails.

I can also send messages but just cant see anything. My version is the latest now updated this morning but did not make any difference. 102.11.1 (64bit). Any idea what it could be ?

TB has been extremely finicky the past few days with send and receive. The biggest issue is that the Get Messages / Get All New Messages stops responding altogether - it works fine, and then suddenly nothing except (sometimes) the word "null" next to the online icon at the bottom left, and a pulsating blue progress bar in the Activity Manager area, that disappears after a moment.

A few times I have been able to "fix" it by going to Server Settings and changing Connection Security to None temporarily, but this doesn't work every time.

Another "solution" is to change the password on the mail server, which prompts TB to demand the PW. This is not a good solution, as the password must then be changed on any/every other device that connects to the mail server, and then the problem repeats after some period.

Other times, and per a suggestion on another thread with a similar subject line, clicking on the "go offline" icon at the bottom, generates a prompt to download emails before going offline, and this seems to cause a demand for password, which allows emails to be downloaded, but this also seems like a band-aid. What is going on here? Windows 10 64 Bit TB 102.11.0 (64-bit)

I've been trying to log into my Gmail accounts on Thunderbird on my Windows machine, and each time I get that error message in the title. Google recognizes the account as signed into Thunderbird, and I had to go into the Google Account and sign out from an instance of each of my attempts. I made sure cookies are allowed, and using oauth2.

Not sure what to do here? Is anyone having the same issue?

Update: I just downloaded spark and logged in no problem. Also, the Thunderbird on my mac is logged in just fine.

So I have some problems with signing in to Thunderbird. At signing in with google, Google says that they found unusual activity on my account, even when I don't have bad activity. After trying to recover my account, it says that it can't sign me in to my Google account because of JavaScript not enabled. How do i fix this issue? Thanks!

I've been using Thunderbird on my Mac Pro (TB 102.11.0 64-bit) and recently some, but not all my messages are being downloaded. I could see that a few were on my server ok, but TB was just not downloading them all. Any hints on how to solve this?

Also as of some months ago, I also sometimes receive duplicate mails. I'm cautious about changing my profile because in the past when I tried some suggested problem solutions, I ended up losing a lot of mail which was a serious problem.

Thanks in advance for anyone who can help me through this...
