Hi Versions from 78 do not keep my column settings, in the inbox I change to the sender, subject, date, size, and after entering another folder and returning to the inbox folder, everything returns to the default settings; asterisk, attachment, read, unwanted, subject, correspondents, date. I checked on several computers, even removed Thunderbird, cleaned the registry to rule out that the reason was an upgrade from an older version, and the same after a clean install.

After upgrade to 78, I am unable to add extensions the "Cancel / Add" pop-up never goes down.

After the upgrade I am unable to add any extensions. The pop-up comes up that says "Add <extension name>, it requires permission ...." Then it has a "Cancel" and "Add" button.

No matter how many times I press ADD or CANCEL, the popup never goes down and it never adds the extension.

If I minimize thunderbird, the pop-up says on the screen. It has no exit window frame button.

I have to use xkill to kill the window.

If I try to add another add-on when this pop-up is up, nothing happens.

Is there a way to add an add-on from the command line?

We can use Filelink to convert large attachments on outgoing emails, but has anyone come up with a way to convert large attachment automatically on INCOMING emails (before they hit your inbox).

We also receive emails with large imbedded images that it would be great to automatically resize on inbound emails if anyone has any idea?

Hello:

Whether I set up Filelink using wetransfer (which is really hit or miss if it will upload the attachments at various times of the day) or dropbox (which always works) there are always 0 byte attachments created on the emails (named Part 1.2, Part 1.3 for example - one 0 byte attachment for each file link created).

This causes confusion for the recipients that think they're missing something when they try and click on the 0 byte attachments and nothing opens.

Hi, is there a way to split off a reply from a thread and create a new one? So if I'm having an email conversation with a client and they then change the subject to something completely different. I'd like to get that reply and have it be a new email, so if I reply to that it's on a new thread and not attached to the current one.

It has been a topic since it is eliminated. Developers? Are you there? Please make it.

I know there are extensions (and tricky workarounds) that solve the problem, BUT this should be a basic option. Much more basic than the question of the UI elements and dark skin...

Where and how can I contact the developers to force it?

Currently, the only options are for the Thunderbird app badge to show either the total unread count or the total new messages count. It would be helpful if it could be configured to show the unread count from just one account or even further, certain folders, like what Mail.app does.

It used to work brilliantly on my desktop (which is in a removal/storage as we are shifting back to our old State - in Australia) - I am over 80. I have a new 'DELL Alienware' Laptop for multi use - but not gaming. no solution offered in Help, Thunderbird.
