The folder titles are too small for my 74 year old eyes to read. I am having to employ Windows Magnifier to read them. I used to use Theme and Font changer to effect the changes I needed. However, even though Theme and Font Changer for Thunderbird is installed and enabled, it does not work in 52.7.0 (32-bit) Thunderbird. I would greatly appreciate any help y'all can provide. Thanks.

I was moving an email from Inbox to (let's call it) FolderA, but accidentally selected FolderB somehow. When I tried to move my cursor (and the email) from B to A, FolderB disappeared.

I thought I must have accidentally moved FolderB into FolderA, but it's just vanished. I've looked in all the other folders to see if FolderB is a subfolder there, but no luck. I tried searching for the message I accidentally put into FolderB, but nothing came up.

I need that folder! Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

I received a response to do https://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird:Testing:Memory_Usage_Problems and hope within the next few months to be able to run all of the tests that were suggested to try to find the actual answer :-)

I need, however, a simpler solution. Do others experience similar problems?

Thunderbird goes into a WAIT state every 5 or so minutes.

My Thunderbird has about 8 folders (inboxes). Each folder has from 10 to 30 subfolders. Every few minutes (about 10) Thunderbird goes into a 1 or two-minute wait. It is driving me crazy. Does anyone know what causes the wait state? Can I fix it? Should I just use a different mail program (Chrome)? Is it software or hardware problem? HELP! Thanks

When I first start Thunderbird, it will 'freeze' almost immediately. After several minutes, the application resumes normal behavior.

I opened the Error Console, shut down TB and restarted it. The application 'froze' again and when it returned to 'normal' behavior. The Error Console displayed the following error message:

While I am not a software developer, I do recognize that there is a problem with a function on the calendar (a feature which I do not use at all).

Hello. I've been having this problem for the last week. Everything was working fine up until the last week. I am running thunderbird 52.1.1 on ubuntu with an imap connection to a Microsoft exchange server.

My filters work correctly all day to move messages from my inbox to subfolders. When leaving work I close thunderbird and turn off my computer. The next morning when my filters run, everything from the previous day (5pm until midnight) remains in my inbox but everything from after midnight (12am-8am) is moved to the correct subfolders by the filters. I usually receive 200-300 emails overnight and there are 70-100 still in themails inbox.

I know this isn't a problem with the filters because once the filters finish automatically running, I can select to manually run filters on my inbox (highlight inbox - tools - run filters on folder) and all of the emails that weren't filtered the first time are moved to the correct folder.

There isn't just one filter that isn't working. It's multiple or possibly all filters that aren't filtering messages from yesterday on the first run.

This just started happening within the last week and the last 3+ months I never had this issue. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this or possible solutions?

Still, randomly, Thunderbird is crashing, several times a day. It's literally the only application that ever crashes on my computer. It's been happening for several month. In configuration instructions, a choice comes up as "gandi.net" for $.99. Unlike all the others, that specify an amount PER YEAR. What does this mean? Does it mean that [username]@gandi.net will be my new email address -- for a one time charge of $.99? Any other selection I make defines the email address as "Contact@xxx.net for a variously defined amount per year. This is all too confusing. Help?

I just updated my Dell Windows v7 to Windows10 and am now experiencing email client issues that i have never experienced before. I also use AVG Internet Security. When I download email from my ISP email server, almost invariably when I click on an email, or try to delete emails, the Thunderbird screen will 'lock' and I get a "(Thunderbird is) not responding" at the top. My options are to minimize the email client window (and wait it out) or exit Thunderbird which yields a Windows message: Windows is looking for the problem" and then 'doink' it is gone. On reopen, associated (clicked on) emails, are deleted; sometimes other emails from that download will also be gone, forever from my client and from the server (I have download emails and delete from the server checked). This is NEW BEHAVIOR with my recent Windows10 upgrade. No new add-ons have been installed and no other settings have been changed from the Win7 install. I have tried deleting Thunderbird (38.6.0) and downloading it new from Mozilla and reinstalled using my maintained profile but this did not fix anything (the presumption being a corrupted install). I did not clear any cache or anything else, do maybe corruptions were extended into the new install. I am at a loss. But, this unsteady email business is very time wasting and data losing.
