Hi All,

When I start up TB, the position of the index in the Inbox is not where I left it before shutdown.

I always sort by date and leave the index at the most recent email.

When I start up, for all mailboxes, the index is somewhere in the middle of the Inbox and I have to scroll down to see the most recent message.

TB never did this before.

Ver 115.0esr

Any way to fix this ?

Oh By The Way: This version continues to crash, at least once per day. Last time it crashed it locked up the whole OS (Win7). I do not recall any prior version of TB crashing, and I have been using it a long while.

Thanks !!

Hello, While the display size is correct on my MacBook Pro 2021 screen is OK, it is huge and unusable on my second monitor (see images). My layout.css.devPixelsPerPx is set at 2.5. If I set it at default (-1), the external monitor display is OK, but the internal monitor is so small that it is unreadable (to the extend that it was actually hard to figure out how to revert back to so I moved the window to the external monitor). This is a bug. There should be a setting per monitor or the default should follow the System Preferences setting for all monitors.

Please fix this quickly!

Thank you, Alain Damlamian p.s.: I tried to upload two pdf images but they were refused (why only accept jpg ?)

I had two gmail accounts in Thunderbird. Since the upgrade one of them keeps prompting me to log into the account. When I try, I get 404 screen. This keeps happening even after I removed that gmail account from Thunderbird (since it stopped working anyway). I can get emails with no issues from this account using K9 on phone and tablet, and gmail on my computer. Email account that is the issue is janis.johnkov@gmail.com Thank you

I'm trying to update the server settings for an email address in Thunderbird, but it reverts to the old settings when Thunderbird restarts.

I go to the account settings for the email address of interest. I then update the Server Name or the User name (they both do the same thing). This then produces a pop-up that says "Restart is required to apply the server name or username change." Click OK to restart and when Thunderbird has restarted the Server Name/User Name has reverted back to the old setting.

A similar thing happens if I try and make the matching changes to the outgoing SMTP settings. They appear to change until Thunderbird restarts at which point the old settings have been restored.

I needed to make this change to two PC's. One PC (a windows 11 PC) worked fine. The other (a windows 10 PC) consistently fails. The affected PC is using the latest Thunderbird ver 115.5.1.

What am I missing here? Why can't we change the Server settings?

I have a problem ever since Thunderbird 115. Sometimes the delete button on an email I'm reading does nothing. So I go to the full list of emails, highlight an email, and use the delete key on my keyboard. This may work, then it stops working. When I first boot up in the morning, delete works for a while, often through the whole session. Later in the day, it only works for a few emails, or often only works on the first email during a session. I have two email accounts (gmail and my college alumni email on a Microsoft server). Problem exists on both. I have deleted all trash files (more than once). I have done a Repair Folder on my email folders. What else can I do??? It's making it really hard to get rid of old emails. I'm on Thunderbird 115.5.1 (64-bit). Windows 10 on a laptop with 16 gig of ram

Two suggestions: - In an earlier version of Tbird, it was faster to apply text colors to email. Currently, after choosing custom colors, one needs to click OK on two successive windows [headers: color, then text color].

Either of the following would be helpful: a) upon hitting OK on the first dialog [Color], automatically apply the selection - the user has finished the selection or b) allow a double-click to be a synonym for OK (on first dialog's OK, 2nd dialog's Choose a Color and Last Picked Color).

- Emulate something like Format painter: select text with desired color (and style + font), click format painter, when swiping new text apply that choice.

[FWIW, currently using 115 on Windows.]

Thanks to all for a great package!

I'm not sure when this started happening but Thunderbird (115.3.1, Linux) is no longer sending email invites to my invitees, even if some of those invitees are on my same host. as "Organizer" I do get an email notice to my personal email, which is the default attendee, with subject "Accepted: testing", and body, "mfoley@novatec-inc.com has accepted your event invitation.", but nothing is sent to the other invitees on the list. I checked the error console which showed these messages after I created the event:

NotFoundError: No such JSWindowActor 'DevToolsFrame' 6

1701371572264 Toolkit.Telemetry WARN TelemetryStorage::_scanArchive - have seen this id before: 9c1e2d46-28f9-430d-86d7-398dd0ad3bdc, overwrite: false

mailnews.smtp: error { target: TCPSocket, isTrusted: true, name: "NetworkTimeoutError", message: "Network", errorCode: 2152398862, srcElement: TCPSocket, currentTarget: TCPSocket, eventPhase: 2, bubbles: false, cancelable: false, … } SmtpClient.jsm:442:17

Not sure these apply to creating a calendar event. My server settings are fine, I can send and receive mail to the Thunderbird inbox without problem. I can send email from the Thunderbird client without problem.

Any idea why I can't send event notifications to invitees?
