Hi

I have installed firefox on my Samsung S 6 tablet (bought 2022). I can't get Firefox to show a task bar (or bookmarks menu - but the bookmarks do exist from sync) and I can't add in 1password. I synced with my desktop (where firefox and 1 password work perfectly well) and tried everything I can from online suggestions - but either they haven't worked or some of the settings they refer to don't exist in the Android version of firefox. 1 Password - which is also installed on the device - does not show up in the list of add ons accessed via the Firefox 3-dot menu; and doesn't show up either if 1 password is open or closed . I've wasted hours on this and getting nowhere. Any help would be appreciated

Thankyou RC

How can we turn this annoyance off?? I mean turn it off WITHOUT BEING TRACKED! I do realise I can sign into my Google account, and change the prompt from appearing, however I need to be signed into my Google account, have this setting checked, and also cross sites tracking needs to be on.. what a frigging joke! Could Google try and invade our privacy any more? This is an incredibly tactful way for Google to annoy its users, then offer a solution, which INCREASES their ability to track people. Wow! I hope I am not the only person seeing what Google is doing here.

It seems like I have tried for half of my life to not have Pop ups from annoying my user experience, and from what I understand the IOT have agreed that this is not good practice. But C'mon Google WTF! Are you doing! If it's not auto playing videos, cookie warning pop ups, paywalls, Google sign in prompts. This is ruining the internet, and the only way to fix this, is to sign your life away. The IOT already has way more information then it needs to render a website, and have the most basic anonymised user date to function. THIS is all the IOT needs to operate, so why does the internet "need" so much more to work. What a joke. And most people unfortunately are following into this blind, and without questioning the powers that be.

I'm way out of date when it comes to technology - I've had iPhones for years and after being hacked and my identity stolen I'm extremely nervous about the pixel 7 pro security and I could use some pointers on account security. I'd like to meet and take part in the community but I can't do that if my information isn't safe and I have difficulty knowing what is or isn't safe

I just finished setting up my new pc with Windows 11 (Feb 2023 updates) and installed Firefox 110.0.1) and wanted to transfer my logins, passwords, etc, from my Android 12 Phone's Firefox 110.1.0, and other pcs. A window popped up giving instructions how to sync my phone, as follow:

      • Sync Firefox on you phone or tablet. 1) open Firefox on your Mobile Device. 2) Go to the menu (<ios>&<android>menu examples shown) and tap sync and save data. 3. Tap ready to scan and hold your phone over this code.***

I'm 73, have used Firefox since first release in 2004. In all these years I have never seen SYNC in the instructions to "sync and save and to point the phone at a barcode-thingy" or at least not in this world. The instructions made it seem like SYNC was right there to see, but I had to dig thru layes of options to finally find it. You can blaim it on my 73 yr old brain, I guess, but nothing like these instructions exist in Windows or Android firfox. What in the world are your programmers smokin' these days. I would just as soon open up Edge or Chrome and did up the passwords I need to log into my banking and creditcard accounts...heck, it seems like MAYBE I should just dump Firefox after almost 20 years and just use those other browsers. At least there instructions are much simpler that this ol' man can follow. Please have someone review your published helps info on your webpages, and help those Sr. citizens like me to more easily find what we need without calling up grandsons or granddaughters for help (their parents are worse than I am at most techy stuff!) If you have sync your information on the computer up to your firefox account, then i recommend you signal out of it. then on the laptop, signal into your firefox. account and let information down load to it. every other choice is to virtually export your bookmarks, pw to a file. then reproduction over to the laptop computer for importing.
