As with other recent posters on this support forum, I am also experiencing the bug on Firefox for Android 114.2.0 where all pages fail to load, only a blank screen is shown, along with the padlock icon having a red slash.

This started 2 days ago when I updated to Firefox 114.2.0 and also updated to Android 13 patch level June 1, 2023.

I will attach screenshots of the blank page, the Firefox about page, the Play Store app info, and the Settings app info.

To me, from reading through these pages and other places online, it appears that the problem is triggered by an update to a recent version of Firefox, an update to a recent version of Android, or a combination of both. It also appears that updating the app will fix the issue (updating at all, not updating to a specific version), or reinstalling the app. Some have said they had luck with clearing the cache and restarting their phone. Some have also said that despite these fixes working temporarily, the issue reoccurred for them.

I figure that I will just be able to wait for the next version of Firefox to be released, and it will fix itself, since I do not want to lose my browser data. I am just making this post because I was wondering if this is a known issue to the devs, or if they read the support forum or the Play Store reviews. I tried looking through the issue tracker at https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/describecomponents.cgi?product=Fenix but I could not find any relevant entries.

Thanks for any response! Not trying to bug anyone or be negative, Firefox is amazing and I am super appreciative for all of the devs, and the community. I thought maybe collecting all the info in one place might be helpful for someone.

I have a Blackview Tab16 (10" screen), which I bought last year; it was running Firefox quite happily until a couple of months ago. Now when I click on the icon, I get a sort of 'welcome' screen (with some message about a search widget?) for a fraction of a second, then FF closes and I get an error message saying 'Sorry. Firefox had a problem and crashed.' The version of FF is 126.0. I was told to try clearing the cache, but there is nothing there to clear! The tablet is running Android 12 / DoKe OS V3.0.

I have an 8" Blackview tablet which - despite needing to be plugged in to run all the time! - opens & runs Firefox perfectly happily. It's my main browser on my MacBook as well, and will run on my iPhone.

On various sites, e.g. DuckDuckGo search results, parts of the text are missing. Sometimes it's one or more complete lines, sometimes it's part of the line (left, right, middle, upper, lower part). It looks like rectangles in background colour hide the text. Zooming changes the affected zones and generally makes more an more text visible again. Selecting the missing text also makes it visible. This happens on only one device. Complete deinstallation and reinstallation of Firefox for Android didn't help.

As you see the Mozilla is a fresh installed, no extensions installed too. First try - open google search page right from the shortcut that is installed by default on the start screen. Firefox just crash.

I can't remember when this problem started, but the volume dips down for maybe 1-2 seconds shortly after the start of anything with sound, like YouTube videos and MP3s embedded in a website. On the same phone with Chrome, the problem does not happen.

I am a regular user of the Android version but currently when I get my search results it freezes and when it doesn't none of the links are clickable. Other browsers have no issues, anything I can do?

My Firefox doesn't have the collections section on the home tab anymore. I reinstalled after I uninstalling to try and get drm files to run on it again. I don't know where it went or how to put it back. I've looked at every setting I could. How do I get it back so I can access my collections again

Firefox crashes Android system and System UI processes after every image download.

It happens after every image download finishes.

I'm using Android 13 and Firefox is updated to the latest update. When I Google something and select an image, Firefox freezes and I either have to reload the page and the image will load or I have to close & reopen the app and switch to the Images tab. This is on the main Google search page. Images selected in the Google Images tab work as expected.

Keep seeing a bug where tabs that were kept open but are not active, upon reopening do a full reload, and then take a long time to load often failing to load at all after a timeout.

I am writing to request assistance with an issue I am encountering on the latest version of the Firefox browser for Android. My goal is to open specified pages in the same tab using Intent from a third-party custom application. However, I have observed that different URLs open in separate tabs, contrary to my expectations.  Current Implementation:  Here is the code snippet I am currently using: java： Intent intent = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_VIEW); intent.setData(uri); intent.putExtra(Browser.EXTRA_APPLICATION_ID, packageName); startActivity(intent); Expected Behavior:  I expect different URLs to open in the same tab without opening new tabs. This functionality is crucial for my application.  Issue Background:  I have researched similar issues and found that users have had comparable needs using Browser.EXTRA_APPLICATION_ID. Unfortunately, it appears that Firefox has not fully addressed this functionality. The EXTRA_APPLICATION_ID is a feature that modern browsers should ideally support to enhance user experience and maintain continuity within a single tab. After selecting Mozilla as my default browser, I tried to perform a search but the only page that loads is the page that wants you to download Mozilla on desktop and android, which I already have. Each time I've tried to do a search with Firefox this is the page that appears, no search results of any kind, but when I switch my search to duckduckgo and perform the search I get results. Can someone please help me understand why I can't perform a search using firefox?? Thank you in advance for your help!

When I play a youtube video in the FF Android browser, with the phone held "normally" i.e. longest side of phone held vertically, and I press the little icon in the corner of the video to make it "full screen", the video ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS, rotates 90 degrees, which I dont want it to do. I hesitate to call this "landscape" because I'm not rotating the phone.

This behavior is unaffected whether in auto-rotate mode, or portrait mode. Chrome does not have this issue. My phone is a samsung galaxy A12, Android 11, latest FF browser.

When playing a video on YouTube the video is choppy and drops around 2/3 of the frames. This happens on every video that I click on.

I have found that if I double tap to jump back 10 seconds in the video it will no longer drop frames and play smoothly, but if I change the playback resolution it returns to being choppy until jumping in the video again.

I am currently running the latest stable download from the play store, and my phone is a OnePlus 8t.

The text size in Worldle all of a sudden got very small. Same thing happened for two other word games I play. The problem doesn't happen in chrome. Did Firefox change the code? I've tried to enlarge the font but it doesn't help with the font inside the games' graphics. Appreciate any advice!

Every time I open a video and Firefox the stupid media control opens on my phone and plays the video or music or whatever I clicked on in the background for eternity unless I pause it, but then after a few minutes it just starts playing on its own again. Why is there no option to disable or close the stupid player?

I close Firefox I end the process but yet the stupid sound keeps coming out of my phone even with the screen off all the apps closed.

The only option I have is to hide the media control which then plays the music with absolutely no way for me to stop it. If I click on settings from that window it brings me to a screen where both options are already disabled saying not to use it but it's still opening anyways.

I can only find remedies for Windows or Mac I have not come across any solution for Android. I basically have to restart my phone every time this happens in order to get it to stop.

Hi, this issue has been present for a long time for me, and with many versions of Firefox Nightly for Android.

I'm always using the latest nightly for browsing Youtube only, with a set of specific settings and addons (since we can't use profiles on Android yet)

My problem is I've configured the Homepage to never show anything but a few URLs I chose to pin, you can see my settings and my homepage in the screenshots attached.

Despite the "Recently visited" setting being disabled, sometimes, but not everytime, the last pages I visited are added to the Homepage, after the pinned sites. I have no idea what triggers it or not, if I'm doing something wrong or if it's a bug.

Firefox recently got so much slower than normal. Usually it will take 5-10sec to load a full page .Now it loads very slow that I don't know how much time it takes to fully load the page.please help me with this problem. Thankyou

Steps to reproduce : - go to YouTube - open a video - press the full screen button or tilt the phone sideways to trigger full screen - Firefox crashes and forces back to home screen - if opening Firefox again only half of the video component shows as in portrait mode, rest is black screen - if attempting to go side/full screen does properly show the video, but going back again to normal screen still shows the half black screen

I can reproduce this with a almost 100% rate, it only fixes itself by restarting Firefox, where it will work until phone is put to sleep mode.

I tried reinstalling Firefox from scratch, as well as deleting my browser cache and it didn't fix.
