I'm developing a plugin for "Firefox for Android" and I need to create a folder with some files for my plugin. I'm trying to do this: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Code_snippets/File_I_O

BUT I can't check ir the directory has already created. Where I can see the "ProfD" on Android? I readed another answers in the Net saying this is in: /data/data/org.mozilla.firefox/files/mozilla/???????.default/

But when I open my Android File Manager, there is no data/data directory. There is only one data/ and no mozilla inside there.

Yesterday I did update all on my Android device and Firefox was updated along with several other apps. Now I find the new version looks like crap on my device. Now maybe I can fix this by finding a better theme? But worse than that, none of my addons work any more! When I browse addons, none of the ones I use are shown. Clearly mozilla is filtering the list and only showing addons compatible with the currently running version. My addons do exist and are shown in the installed Add-ons list, but are all disabled and the only available button is uninstall. There appear to be no other compatible addons doing the same job available for the new version, and combine that with the crappy look of the new browser, I have to ask: How can I unistall the update and go back to previous version? On PC one can always find and download an older version and reinstall. Is such possible for the android firefox? Without my addons this new version is unusable for me.

Loaded the latest version of Firefox for Android on the Kindle Fire HD & Installed. The program completed install successfully, but as soon as Firefox is started, within a few seconds the program exits.

Is there an issue with Firefox and Kindle Fire HD?

I do not want to use Chrome and the Kindle Silk browser is not very good. I have Firefox on all my machines (desktop, 2 laptops, Android phone, and (hopefully) Kindle) and want to be able to sync my bookmarks, etc. between all of them for consistent usage.

I don't want to be completely negative about Firefox for Android 79, but it doesn't work for me. Extensions that I relied on are no longer supported, and the new functionality doesn't make up for that.

Is there anywhere I can download the .apk for a previous version and install that?

Today I am madder than hell !! I installed Firefox for Android yesterday on my Galaxy S3 (brand new). I attempted to Sync it with my Firefox Ver. 31 I use on my desktop box (Win 7-64) and my laptop (Win7 as well) After using it on a few of the sites I visit I decided it simply was not acceptable as many things didn't work on some site ! So I uninstalled it and wrote a bad review on Google Play.

This morning on my desktop I went to check passwords and I watched IN HORROR in the Pssword Manager window as each and everyone of my sites and passwords vanished one by one. I am dead serious people !!! Then I opened my laptop and watched the same damn thing happen there !

So the Sync I could never get going on the Android version, that was one of the reasons I uninstalled it. So... I really do not want to think that some disgruntled Mozilla employee went into my Sync account and did this intentionally because of my bad review.

As I said, I really hope it wasn't retaliation.... but if it was a problem with the Sync and because I deleted it off my phone the Sync then deleted all my passwords..... then there is HUGE.... I mean HUGE problems with Firefox Sync !!

So....before people send messages... first I have used and loved Firefox as my main browser for close to 10 years, I am an experienced computer user and do computer repairs on Windows systems at times for money. I maintain 2 antivirus and malware programs on my systems. (MS Security Essentials and Malwarebytes).

I've recently published a Firefox web extension which works on Desktop browsers and wanted to start now with the port for Android devices. As suggested in https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Add-ons/WebExtensions/Developing_WebExtensions_for_Firefox_for_Android , I've installed Android Studio and several Android emulators (Nexus 5x with Android Nougat, Oreo, etc.).

However, when I try to install Firefox from the Chrome store, I always receive the "Your device isn't compatible with this version." message. This is very frustrating as Firefox seems to be one of the few apps that can't be installed in the emulator (WhatsApp and Opera are installable, Facebook and Firefox are not).

I was wondering if the requirements for the app are set (mistakenly) too high? Or maybe I'm doing something wrong? How do you develop/debug your web extensions?

Thanks for your help!
