I have tried the "other devices" button but reading list is not there. I have tried switching to desktop site and back again to no avail.

There has obviously been a change to how reading list is accessed, but it seems to have gone wrong for me.

I really found the reading list so useful that I'm lost without it! It was working up to yesterday (I think).

Android App was freezing and crashing on Home Depot page.

I disconnected the synched phone, cleared storage and cache, and uninstalled the app.

I then reinstalled the app, and reconnected to my account. Synch was successful.

HOWEVER, while the old synched device does not show in the device list and the new one does, the old device's History still shows in the History tab, including the aforementioned, evil Home Depot page that froze FF.

When I access the Home Depot page, the app still freezes.

On my desktop, the old device and its history do not show, and the Home Depot page does not freeze or crash FF.

Help!

I am not even going into the details, but your browser in Android just got put onto the "REVERT TO OLDER VERSION AND NEVER UPDATE" list.

Are you serious? Youtube no longer works with screen off, this side-by-side tab selection screen is horrible.....VERTICAL WAS FINE.

You are just screwing with shit because you have nothing better to do, is that it?

AGAIN, I have just downloaded ver 52 and I'm sticking with it. You can push this junk on the masses, but not to me. I bet the PC version is next to get some ridiculous update. So that's now turned off too!

If you want to let me know when you've reverted these changes, I'll gladly continue updating once I have reviewed them.

Suppose I have an online account for a service (e.g. Twitter). I buy a new mobile phone and I install Twitter on it. I don't remember my Twitter password, so I go to passwords.google.com to view it. That's because my Twitter web login is saved in Chrome and synced on the Google account. I now remembered my password and can login into the Twitter app.

Could I do the same with Firefox Accounts?

The previous answers (ex: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1185193) all say to go to 'settings > general > home > top sites'. There is no 'top sites' sub area. The sections are as follows:

'Set a Homepage': 'about:home' Also use for new tabs (off) Panels (unclickable label) Add-ons (unclickable label) Content updates: Wi-Fi

Please let me know how I can turn off the suggestions from Pocket and Highlighted pages. I still want it to show my Top Pages that I visit. I do not care to see any recommendations. I use other services to discover content and certainly don't need it every time I try to open a new web browser window.

Suddenly Firefox updated on my Android phone and now none of my addons work, including my password manager and cookie manager. When I open the support link it opens to Firefox for Android beta Solutions. Addons are one of my main reason for using Firefox. Every article I've seen says there is no way to downgrade. If that's true I'll be switching to another browser that supports Chrome extensions, whether this version (79.0.4 (Build #2015757667)) is actually beta or not. Forced, irreversible updates with no warning that break critical functions. This is why I don't like the whole app store system, and again if true, this is totally inexcusable. I know this free software is a labor of love on the part of the developers, but I don't think I can deal with this update. A bunch of patronizing articles explaning why "we know what's best" is no better than Google or Microsoft. Anyway this was a major inconvenience coming without even a warning.

I don't want that search in the address bar. I want it turned off. It must have updated, because I got it turned off not long ago, and the settings I changed are the same as I left them. What new things do I have to change?

This is the old instruction, that worked until now. "If you mean the new popup/enlargement, type about:config and then 'browser.urlbar.update'. Turn all 4 to false or try each on their own as i'm not sure what specifically they do, but all 4 works for me."
