As of today in Firefox Nightly for Android the buttons noted in the subject line above have now taken up a section of my screen instead of being tucked away in a menu, which is my preference. I cannot figure out how to put it back as I have no need for these to be persistent in any way. Please instruct me on how to reassert the previous settings.

Navigation bar in latest nightly (130.0a1) is split into two toolbars, this cannot be customized.

I am using Firefox nightly on Android. About two weeks ago I noticed that my toolbar got moved to the bottom after some update, while address bar is still at the top. I tried looking for it in settings but couldn't find anything about toolbar, that's weird since I was able to customize it a few years ago when I installed Firefox for the first time. So I looked it up on the internet and they say that it's in Settings/Customize/Toolbar, but in my browser settings instead of Toolbar there is Address bar settings. Has toolbar's settings been moved somewhere else? It looks like in previous versions it was under Customize section.

All of a sudden (possibly after the last update) my default search engne has changed from Google to Bing. When I look in settings it is still Google I have unchecked all other browser options and it still uses Bing to search I have uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it but the problem persists. This only happens on my Android device. My Windows desktop still uses Google and the devices are linked with the same Firefox account

(Firefox Nightly) The tabs and menu buttons seem to have been relocated to a fixed pane on the bottom of the browser window. I can't tell if this was part of an update or some accidental swipe. My attempts to fix this:

Longpressing these ui elements doesn't show any contextual options.

Settings seems to only allow relocation of the url bar top/bottom.

Nothing in the configuration editor (json or xml or whatever seems to cover this, but I am not particularly fluent in browser widgetspeak.

Suffice it to say, tapping tabs and menu (for extensions) is a high frequency activity so having these irreversibly(?) relocated is frustrating.

I absolutely hate the new ui and there is no option to change it either

Also not showing full link in search bar is kinda stupid...not even a option to enable it either

Hi, can you please tell me if there is any agreement with google or other sponsors behind disabling users access to about:config?

Eg google has many google settings built into firefox which benefits them. like spdy

THIS IS Somewhat difficilt to explain so I hope my complaint/ my explanation here makes sense as i have written it. Let me explain:i had set up my Motorola Stylus 2023 to use Firefox as defailt app for storing passwords and it worked as it should have. Then i had to replace my phone and i got Motorola Stylus 2021 and firefox passwords quit working even though the correct passwords were stored by Firefox.. since this occured Thru investigation i have come to believe/think 5hat Moto App launcher on 2021 model interference is responsible. The moto app launcher on Motorola Stylus 2021 cannot be deleted or forced stopped. Is there another reason and how can i find the answer. Several times when i tried to sign on a particular i got a notice i was using outdated ed / old password but my Firefox password for the site was up to date so something was interfering. This thing of not being able to delete or force stop Moto app 2921auncher really ticks me off because it came preloaded bloatware and my newer Motorola 2023 Stylus functioned proprly and i thvink its because it had no corrupt power uungry Moto App Launcher preinstalled. I understand that changing the file extension of downloads to match the file contents is a protection feature but it is causing me issues on mobile.

I am trying to download .rosz files, they are essential .zip files with a custom extension. These files are generated from one web app and are going to be uploaded into another web app and the receiving app will reject files with the wrong extension. The current behavior changes the file to .zip and requires me to manually locate the downloaded file and rename it back to .rosz .

Is there a setting that I can change to prevent download file extention renaming? I understand the security issues it can present and am willing to accept the risks.

Everytime I open firefox, I want to make it open start page, not last tab I closed. Want Firefox to respect my Internet billings.

Since you disabled about:config, it is impossible to change it. Maybe some extension could be suggested? Or should I change browser to something more professional and advanced? Cheers!

Hi, I've just changed my phone & PC. on my phone (Realme 13pro+ on Android 14) Dark mode isn't working on most websites. I have glaucoma so it's very difficult for me to endure white backgrounds. I've checked on my old phone & the same sites are dark as they should be. I've tried 'Dark' & 'Follow system dettings" but neither work. on my new laptop, Dark mode works, but is preceded by a horrible flash of full brightness before it goes dark, which is really bad for my eyes!

Any help appreciated. Rich in UK
