Firefox for Android Support Forum

I just did a Google image search on my pixel 8 and saw that all the image results were forced to "fit width" so I can only really see 1 result at a time. I have the "Google Search Fixer" installed and dialsabling it returns the image search view to gallery. But when I enable to addon it goes back to that "ft to wish" view.

I've looked through the options and tried searching for similar problems/solutions and found nothing. How do I return my Google image search view to gallery? It's really obnoxious and frustration to only be able to see 1 image at a time when searching.

Since updating to v 122.0 (Android) today, my home page displays a permanent intrusive "Customise homepage" button on my Homepage (see attached picture).

This is totally redundant when you can simply access this in 2 clicks from the taskbar. Why are such cosmetic features forced onto users? Customising my homepage is something I would do once, I don't need it to be slapped on my face every time I reach my home page.

Please advise, this is extremely annoying.

By default, Firefox only downloads directly to the internal storage, and not the micro SD card I installed. Its become tedious to manually move everything to save phone space every time I download anything.

All the past forums said to use about:config, but I understand the newer Firefox removed that function as it would break the app due to some major internal changes.

Please add the function to set a download path for Firefox to send my files to, including to my SD card.

This feature would enable users to customize their browser experience by choosing a wallpaper that suits their preferences and mood. The wallpaper can be choosen from the image gallery of User. This feature available in edge browser android

I think this feature would enhance the aesthetic appeal and functionality of the Firefox Android app, as well as increase user engagement and satisfaction. It would also showcase the diversity and creativity of the Firefox community, as users could submit their own wallpapers to the gallery or vote for their favorites.

I hope you will consider adding this feature to the Firefox Android app in the future. Thank you for your time and attention.

I need to change the download folder from my phone intern memory to my SD card, but I don't see the option to do it, I've seen forum post of people saying It can be done by entering about:config in the browser, but that doesn't work.

I keep trying to modify 'homepage' prefs in settings, but unlike desktop,; there's no option to "set home page to current one"..much less set up screen saver or custom photos or anything...on my Samsung, it just shows a blueish backlight everytime I turn it on or even just exit settings!

I am working on an extension/add-on Firefox for android. Our extension wants to communicate with a native app and fetch data from there. I tried nativeMessaging but it is not supported by Firefox. . While researching, I came across articles discussing Firefox's 120 build, which is expected to provide enhanced support for add-ons. However, I couldn't find any information regarding native app communication in these resources. I'm seeking assistance or guidance from someone who may have insights into this matter.

Why is there a repetition of 'customise homepage' menu. It appears both on home screen and in the menu bar. Very annoying very bad. Very much unexpected. Just dump this. We don't need this menu on home screen , let it be where it belonged.

...Desktop site option setting does not stick! After switching tabs for 5 mins, it changes back to mobile site view & I HAVE TO X out of tab, reopen it, & check desktop site again! You can't just reset the desktop site option on & off either, doesn't work. You MUST X out the tab & start all over. ...It's a real pia! In older versions it always worked, always defaulted even days later! However, NOT in the last few versions, why can't it still currently work now? It should! ...And god for bid you find any real support! And probably won't get it here either. ...."IS" there ANY real, live support around here? A developer email? Anything??? What I want is: 1. History should either not be saved, or alternatively auto-deleted after a certain time (e.g. only keep history of the past hour), or as a last resort get deleted when closing the browser. 2. I want to keep the ability to restore recently closed tabs. I realize this is a bit in conflict to not having a history, but just remembering the last few closed tabs would be enough, or all tabs closed in the last few minutes. 3. When I restart the browser (after pressing "Quit"), I want it to restore my previously open tabs 4. When I restart the browser (after pressing "Quit"), I want to keep cookies and logins (i.e. not get logged out everywhere, and have the cookie dialogues after restarting the browser). 5. Not super important, but ideally I want to keep my saved favicons/website logos in the bookmarks and on the new tab page after a restart.

So basically I just want to way for the history to be empty or automatically pruned, without sanitizing any other data on exit or browsing in a kind of permanent private mode.

I haven't yet found the correct configuration to do this. If there is an extension or about:config option for doing this, please also let me know (I'm happy to switch to Firefox Beta or Fennec F-Droid which have full extension support and expose about:config functionality.)

in any other open tab, auto-hide addressbar/toolbar properly goes into hiding as soon as i begin scrolling, portrait or landscape.

ONLY IN AN ABOUT:CONFIG TAB, auto-hide addressbar/toolbar requires that i 1) scroll all the way to end of page and then 2) vigorously & multiply scroll down, through the stuck bar. any upward scroll & i have to start from scratch. portrait & landscape.

this Android alpha cancer has metastacized to Android beta. danged annoying.

please fix this bug & don't regress it back in.

Hello! I suggest the option in the settings that enables the display of websites in desktop mode by default. This option can be found in Microsoft Edge for Android and iOS as well as in Brave Browser for Android and iOS. When enabled in the settings, the browser will always display websites in full (desktop) mode.

Hi. first of all, your android app is awesome. That you can listen to videos or YT videos when the app is minimalized or the phone screen is locked is great feature. BUT I am not used to it and I would prefer to change the settings so when I lock the screen the video automatically pauses and does not keep playing....

Any way to achieve that??? Thanks !
