Can I create a bookmark for an HTML file in my download folder?

The (default) FireFox (Android) download folder contains an HTML file that I would like to run from a bookmark. Is it possible to navigate to file via FireFox search bar with "file:///" reference that I can bookmark? I've tried a number of things based on the following observations ... and nothing has worked so far.

I have the Pixel XL phone. When I browse to "file:///storage/", FireFox displays two folders "emulated" and "self", and permissions prevent me from navigating any further.

When I view storage through Android "Settings/Storage/Explore", the file location is reported as "Pixel XL/Android/data/org.mozilla.firefox/files/Download/".

When I connect the phone to my Windows computer, I can navigate to the HTML file from Windows. Windows displays the download folder's path as "Computer\Pixel XL\Internal shared storage\Android\data\org.mozilla.firefox\files\Download".

Hi,

I had Firefox and Firefox Beta installed on my Android phone. This prevented me syncing bookmarks with my desktop Firefox.

I decided to remove all Android versions and reinstall.

First I backed up the Beta profile since this contained the bookmarks I want.

I cannot find the bookmarks within this profile. AFAIK there is no places.sqlite. Has the filename changed? My version was beta Firefox 19

Hi, I had issues with Firefox bookmarks on my PC (Win8) : a backup doesn't recover every items from my bookmarks (HTML and .json backups). I use Firefox Sync but the issue on my PC is synced on Mozilla servers, too bad. So I want to copy bookmarks from my Firefox for Android which was on the same Sync account, without connecting to the Internet. I've found the browser.db file with https://support.mozilla.org/fr/questions/950536 but don't understand how I can find my bookmarks in this file (I've used with Notepad++ or others, this doesn't look good) Thanks ;)

Edit : the browser.db file can be found at the file path "/ Device / data / data / org.mozilla.firefox / files / mozilla / xxxxxxxx.default" with a "root file explorer" (like https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop)

All the sites I use are conveniently bookmarked in the "Bookmarks Toolbar" of Firefox for windows.

The conveniently sync with Firefox for Android but it takes a minimum of 3 accurate presses to get to the bookmarks toolbar and then I must scroll though all the folders to get to the sites that are easily accessible in the Bookmarks Toolbar of Firefox for Windows.

In short, I just don't bother to do it and I am not maintaining 2 bookmark lists.

I understand why you force us to use the "awesome" bar by default when Firefox for Android starts. You have future plans for it and want to train users to go there. I don't want to be trained and you are close to losing my support of myself and perhaps many.

We should have the option to have FF for Android open directly so the Bookmarks Toolbar is visible and it should take one press or less to get the the same sites I see in FF for Windows.
