I have notice when there are multiple tabs open and multiple extension running the app seem to lag with page reloading ( youtube, google, insta)

Also PIP for youtube is broken with maybe hyperos 3 Youtube controller or browser customize controller for youtube

I have realised if browser is optimized well then it can replace many social media app with more privacy and customization

For a few weeks now, trying to to type anything while using Firefox on android mobile is an exercise in frustration and insanity. It makes me want to tear my hair out. I type part of a word, and then it suddenly adds the autocompleted word after the end of the letter I already typed. It also keeps screwing up after apostrophes: I type "The car is Jo's car" for example, and suddenly the cursor makes a space after "Jo", but the cursor moves to behind the "s". The end result looks like "The car is Jo' car"s

I'm not making this up, it literally happened while typing the above line and I decided to leave it like that for you to see. Typing in firefox right now is maddening.

Ever since I got the 150.0, the issue is the following: when I use the AI feature or search something on the internet, the first time everything is OK. If i would search something else or reply to the AI feature, the text appears to be doubled. In example

When the screen rotates, many videos freeze and thereafter all videos become unresponsive (and even some elements of the Firefox UI stop responding to taps) until the application is closed and restarted. I have experienced this problem for at least a year now. Reddit is a repeatable example: going to any feed (such as r/popular with videos), playing one, and rotating the screen.

I turned off all battery and CPU optimizations for Firefox, which improves performance on videos somewhat, but does not resolve this issue.

Hello its been a 2 or 3 months I have been using firefox and always have meet multiple malfunction on the browser, its not that I am saying its bad tho I like the GUI design and the features it have. But this recently update i experiences a malfunction that when I try to type a wrong word autocorrecting is kinda multi hopping like its scrabble some words I try to clear cache it and even clear cache my keyboard but still their. Hope mozilla find this bug immediately

Recently when typing on Firefox on the duckduckgo search engine, anything you type gets doubled, and you cannot backspace. The issue doesn't occur when on Google page, only on ddg. I also tried different keyboard apps and the issue still persists. I went to the same page on Google chrome and the issue does not occur. This just started happening within the last week or so. If it matters/helps, I'm on Samsung s24 ultra.

I use chat GPT all the time every time I use it it bogs down and a warning drops down and says this program is slowing down Firefox stop the program it doesn't happen with Gemini it doesn't happen with Claude only chat GPT how can I fix this problem

This browser is slow in browsing compared to the Chromium engine on low-end Android devices. Also, this browser doesn't have a special YouTube feature to "swipe from the top" (swipe down) to see the video in Portrait Fullscreen mode (one video in fullscreen in portrait mode, not landscape). This removes the video suggestions shown below the main video to maintain high focus on the current video. Brave has this feature; that's why I use the Brave browser to replace YouTube Premium. And I use Firefox with uBlock Origin to remove all ads from Facebook only. So in short, I use Firefox to browse Facebook and I use the Brave browser to watch YouTube. (You might wonder why I don't use Brave to browse Facebook? Brave's built-in ad blocker is weaker than uBlock Origin, which can't remove all Facebook ads even in aggressive mode. That's why I use Firefox for Facebook). But I want everything in Firefox Android. Please focus on popular platforms like Facebook and YouTube, so that people think that we don't need to buy Premium; we can use Firefox with the uBlock Origin extension without buying Premium for removing ads.

Latest version(s) of Firefox on my Android 16 Samsung Galaxy 25 Ultra are not happy - go to open a new tab and the entire app freezes - after about 10s I get offered the option of waiting - which does nothing, the same message reappears again 10s later - or closing the app.

Have been trying to find resolution as Firefox is my browser of choice but nothing so far besides reverting to an old build of around 140 and refusing to upgrade.

Please can this be looked at as a priority - reading up I believe a number of Samsung users are experiencing problems with the newer versions all focussed around the tab system.

Version 149. After about one day of use, Firefox on Android intermittently hangs for about five seconds, several times per minute. Attempting to select links during this time are ignored and the selection usually occurs after the hang/delay.

The device is a Pixel 5 with Android 14.

When doing anything that requires momentarily leaving browser focus, such as hopping to an authentication app or email or text to receive a 2 factor authentication code, the browser will refresh the current page every time I hop back to Firefox.

This usually causes in most cases the code I left to retrieve to become expired as it now wants a new one when the page refreshes. In most cases this also wipes out the entire content of forms that I have taken time filling in. This can happen any time the app loses focus, even if somebody just phones me and I don't even volunterily leave the app.

After March or Febuary I think? Bookmarks become incredably slow. My device is a S20 FE rooted using U.N.1.C.A ROM and using Snapdragon 865 processor. It took roughly 80 seconds or more just to open the main bookmark folder. I also have big bookmark folders but it worked fine on the last update. I go to a website and it tells me that it has emailed me a code. I have to go to another app to bring up my email to get the code. When I go back to Firefox using the recent apps feature, on my phone, Firefox reloads to the previous page and I have to start all over again because you've gotten rid of the page I was on, to put the code in. It's an endless cycle. Since I'm not actually closing Firefox why can't it open onto the page I was just on?

while other engins like Google and edge are very quick, firefox has been slow and then stops on android s21. clearing all app cache and cookies makes no difference

I like firefox for its privacy but performance wise, it feels slow compared to previous browsers I've used - opera and via browser. I have disabled automatic font sizing as it's notorious culprit, set enhanced tracking protection to strict and use only 3 extensions with Ublock origin being the only resource heavy one. Still browsing feels sluggish and I just can't find a fix
