Hi,

after starting Firefox with hardwarebuttons enabled on OnePlus Two there is no way to access the settings menu in Firefox due to no hardware button being available and the onscreen menu button (three dots) is hidden.

Workaround: Enabled software buttons in Android settings restart Firefox and the menu button will show next to the tabs button again. Please note you can disable software buttons in Android settings again as long as you don't restart Firefox the menu button remain available.

I haven't found anything in about:config to pin or force the menu to stay visible with hardware buttons. Is there any option available?

Cheers, Max

Hi,

So when I long press my home button, you know it launches the Google app. After installing Firefox, I was offered to search in Firefox instead. Since I use Duckduckgo, I was glad to have this as an option. However, the all that launches now, "Firefox Search", will only search in Yahoo as much as I've tried to change it. Is there a way to make this app not search in yahoo?

Am using Google Nexus 9 with latest Android. Since one of the recent os updates the keyboard sometimes fails to appear when I enter a text box on a page whilst using Firefox. This makes searches and logins impossible. Both virtual and physical Bluetooth keyboards fail to register. It is intermittent. Visiting the same page in Chrome has no problem, but I want to continue with Firefox. Please advise, if I can't fix this I will have to abandon Firefox. Shame!

Firefox keeps connecting to update servers despite changes to settings to stop this behavior

I created a user.js that incorporates https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-stop-firefox-making-automatic-connections and other tweaks, yet Firefox for Android still attempts to connect to several addresses that appear to be Mozilla updates related (63.245.217.* aus4.mozilla.org).

Review of about:config confirms user.js was recognized.

user.js: http://pastie.org/private/syyzqotsooclhwnuoxqo7w

Firefox for Android version 41.0.

Does anyone know of another tweak I should make that could solve this? If this isn't solved here, where should I try next?

Note: I'm not suspecting something nefarious. The merits of that particular user.js are out of scope for this question. This is just for establishing a baseline where no connections are made without user consent and not for regular use.

I want to move history and bookmarks (I wish I could move coockies, usernames and passwords as well) on my android (Samsung) phone from chrome to mozilla.

Someone asked that and your answer was not helpfull, since you have reffered him/her to settings-custumize-import from android. It does not work for chrome.

Please address it asap. Even if there is no way of doing it. Just let me know. Many share this problem.
