I encountered a problem occurring under LineageOS 20 (android 13) on a Sony ZX1 Compact. Can't check if it's the android version or just something with that Lineage ROM (which works perfectly with anything else):

When I make a PDF of a web page with Firefox and then just press "view", the pdf viewer says the file doesn't exist, even though it was saved correctly to the Download folder. Choosing Firefox itself as pdf viewer, I could determine that the viewer gets a file link like this:

content://org.mozilla.firefox.feature.downloads.fileprovider/Download/Download/Kanaren-Wetter%3A%20Sturm-Warnung%20zum%20Wochenende%20ausgegeben.pdf

Which appears to point not to the real Download folder, but perhaps to Firefox' subfolder in the Android/Data folder? The same link is given in any other OS, and normally it always works. Could it have to do with the fact that in LineasgeOS 20 (and quite surely also stock android 13) the Android folder is write protected ?

With some web pages, Firefox provides different links, like: content://media/external_primary/downloads/1000009015 and with those there's no problem. So I think may really be an issue with directory access.

I fiddled around a lot with OS settings and Firefox beta's about:config as well, but to no avail. Also de- and reinstalled Firefox.

Any idea what could be the cause ?

In Samsung Galaxy M23 5G smartphone (SM-M236B/DS) with Android 14 and Firefox 123.1.0 when I go to https://translate.google.com and insert a phrase, for example "I want a table" (you can try any words you want, single word or phrase) I hear the words distorted. This is happening after about 3 or 4 times or more tries when I hit the little speaker icon and waiting to finish the vocal pronunciation each time. I can't remember if this happened in earlier versions of Firefox for Android. I installed most of known browsers for Android (Opera, Edge, Vivaldi, Brave) and none has this problem, even the Samsung browser. I installed other versions of Firefox for Android (Focus, Beta for testers, Nightly for Developers) and all of them have the same problem. Also, I uninstalled and installed the original Firefox and I did restart of smartphone and also I connected bluetooth headphones but same problem. Maybe you will not hear the distortion in that smartphone above and android 14 combination with the first try but you will hear it in next tries. I don't know if this is happening in other Samsung SMARTPHONES. Why is "Yahoo search" not as auto opinion in drop down list?? Is it been not black balled?? Having getting it to happy. Don't want data collection Google, etc

Hi, let me describe my problem:

I enabled pull to refresh gesture function and until recently it worked great. But I noticed odd behavior recently: To activate pull to refresh, one should "pull from top", right? But if I just drag from middle to top to just scroll through website, it refreshes as if I pull from top.

This happens only when I moved to new pages. For example, I clicked a post in reddit to open that post >> the post opens, I try to scroll the page to see post comments >> and boom the page refreshes. After that this won't happen in the same page.

I hope to find solution and currently disabled pull to refresh.

Hi Community and firerox community center, i hope you are well i write this post just to give an opinion about usage and what firefox should have:

1. General Permission: please make all permission optional and dont force the user to enable it especially location and camera bcz sometime im just want to upload a picture but i cant do that without enabling camera permission and that sometime dangerous for JS based site that can take picture just by using this permission

2. General Feature: sometime im just want to see football record for a match .i.e: champions league and i found the UI or the label that show the info is really dumb sorry for that but we need something more designed like in "Chrome"

- also We need a forced dark mode for the search engine sometime i enable dark mode in settings but the search engine no except "duckduckgo"

-privacy: can you add tor extension ? it really good way for user to protect his privacy

3. Bug Fix: the big problem that everyone face it is ram comsuption for me i dont face this problem bcz i have 8 Ram and i use extended ram + overclocked kernel

-i found also some bugs on facebook sometime the comment input doesnt show up or disappear when i write a comment i think because of screen resolution i dunno

This example should be straightforward, as you can see the title bar on the bottom has a dark blue color from the source app (Tusky) while the navigation bar is white. On Tusky the navigation bar is the same dark blue as the title bar.

I'm not sure if Android allows getting the color of the source app's navigation bar, but anything could be better than a pure white one especially when the title bar is put on the bottom. I suggest Firefox to use either 1. Same color as the title bar 2. A slightly darker version of title bar color.

I have been trying to get Any answer to this for a couple of months now. The closest answer anyone has given about it dealt with syncing between chrome and firefox..

Im just trying to find a way of opening more than one synced tab at a time on firefox for android. I know it can be done on pc version, but I have been given zero information on it for the android version...
