I installed Firefox on my Windows 7 notebook. I wanted to use the sync function, so I registered for an account, and the process forced me to enter my cell phone number which made me hesitate for a while, but I entered my number anyway. An SMS message was sent to the phone with a link. I followed the link and my network security blocked it. Because I have a DNS filtering service installed in my network for better safety, I examined the security log carefully and the website the phone was trying to open. It was app.adjust.com. I searched up about this website, and most of information says it is an app tracking service for developers. But one website commented in 2015 that this URL is linked to the app created by an organized criminal. To my surprise, all firefox apps that I had been using in different computers were trying to report to the same website which has been blacklisted by my network security. I used duckduckgo as my search. See https://pcvirusescleaner.blogspot.com/2015/07/how-to-remove-appadjustcom-conveniently.html for details.

I think Mozilla should give up all attempt of tracking if you are so careful for privacy. Download count and website visit count should be enough. Please do not follow the path of Google and other websites have been doing. Your reputation will get damaged. I will uninstall the firefox browser until further notice. I will notify all my staffs and friends about this finding. I will not post anything on social media yet because I still have trust on your organization, which is now rapidly turning into something else. Please give me with enough explanation on your relationship to app.adjust.com and your view to the negative comment on this third-party service.

If I open the Firefox app on my Roku Express it goes to a "Get Set Up" option which, when selected, opens "Get the latest Firefox for Android" and two other options ("Set up devices on same WiFi network" and "Send a video to your Roku") but none of them work. So far, this Roku device has been useless at receiving videos from any of my devices, tablet or smartphone.

My last session is restoring when I re-open Firefox on android. I don't want this and can't seem to disable it. I see what can be done on the desktop version but no similar solution exists for Android. Every time I open Firefox, my last session re-loads. I have to wait for it to load and then open a new tab. This is BS and enough to make me dump Firefox if it can't be resolved. Embarrassing problem too if you're not the only one using the computer if you get my drift.

Now... This browser (and others) are enabling advertisers to adjust screen sensitivity... And 'pause' adverts as we scroll down screen. Several times now i have inadvertently clicked on adverts when DEFINITLEY not applying greater finger pressure. Ive looked for touchscreen sensitivity settings... Seems they have been removed from newer android types. I bought this device and buy my data.. Why are you writers still allowing advertisers to RULE over us! Ive never ever responded to a browser add... And now because of one comanies 'intelligent' advertising i will not be ordering from them again. Adds are ruining the mobile Internet.

I have used Firefox for years, and never found it user hostile. I just loaded Firefox for Android and did my very best to get it working, but it won't let me start browsing. Remember, I am a long time user. What has changed? I have already been working on this for two hours. I believe it might have something to do with (1) that damnable Android 9, which seems to have changed everything just to make things harder and lose customers, or (2) some trendy "security" fetish. What's going on?

So I use various blocking add ons, which means when I come across a new website I need to whitelist various things, but every so often the add-on's menus are just not there. The add on is clearly doing its job, hence my need to whitelist some stuff, but my menu is not there and I have to restart Firefox and just hope that the menus will be restored. Its hit and miss too, which is kinda infuriating.

I cannot get to the menu button on my samsung galaxy 2 10.1 tablet. There is not a menu on the botton of the screen as many keep referring to either. Am I correct that customizing the app is just going to not be possible? Am about ready to give up and uninstall again.

Bookmarked links for search engines not activating keyboard after updating to Marshmallow

Subject pretty much says it all.

When using Firefox 41.0.2 on Android 6.0 (Nexus 6 device), if I've bookmarked a search engine -- say, https://www.google.com or https://www.duckduckgo.com -- and then load that page via the bookmark, the Google keyboard (just the system default keyboard) is not activated when I click in the search box. It just gives me the text selection tool instead, but there's no text to select or anything since it's just a blank search box.

If I manually type the exact same entry into the address bar -- for instance, https://www.duckduckgo.com -- and load the page that way, the keyboard activates just fine once I click in the search box. It's only when loading the page via a bookmark that it doesn't work. I've tried both secure and non-secure versions of the pages and get the same results.

This only started happening once I upgraded to Marshmallow. Everything worked as expected before this when using bookmarks. And everything still works fine if I use bookmarked search engines in Chrome; only Firefox seems to be affected in this way.

I'll attach a couple of annotated screenshots to help visualize the problem.

Thanks for any help!
