Firefox for Android has a bug-like phenomenon that you can't see in other web browsers, Edge, Chrome, Opera, or Firefox for Win and Linux. This phenomenon occurs in Firefox for Android regardless of whether "desktop site" is "on" or "off" (*1).

  • 1: Not tested with browsers other than the above. I haven't tried Firefox for iOS either.

The phenomenon is a bug that if you reload in the resize event processing of the window, it will be reloaded permanently until you stop processing or close the browser. A simple code like the one below does this:

<script defer> window. addEventListener( "resize", () => { // The result is the same even if it is controlled by flags, etc. location.reload(); }, false ); </script>

RESIZE & RELOAD

I WAS IN THE PROCESS BECOMING A MEMBER OF Credit Fresh. When I was directed to connect, the following message came up,

Did Not Connect: Potential Security Issue. Firefox detected a potential security threat and did not continue to links.creditfresh.com because this website requires a secure connection. What can be done to get this to function? links.creditfresh.com has a security policy called HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS), which means that Firefox can only connect to it securely. You can’t add an exception to visit this site. The issue is most likely with the website, and there is nothing you can do to resolve it. Notify the website’s administrator about the problem.

Do you understand that huge, greedy cartel behemoths are waging war on your platform and interfering with web access and interaction with consumers' like me? Are you talking Sherman Act with your lawyers for the sake of the web surfing public?

Stop malevolent and greedy giant corporations from designing intentionally incompatible websites and software that funnel consumers and other web users away from Mozilla by interfering with our use of Firefox on a daily and increasing basis. If you don't, Mozilla might well be doomed to extinction by attrition of your user base.

Hi, I've tried to scan a QR-Code with the Firefox Scanner but I've only received a message with "invalid". It is a QR-Code for an app (Briar F-Droid Repo) I was in the opinion that Firefox can also handle app links, but apparently it can only handle http and https. Is that correct? If so, I would find it good to explicitly mention it in the Firefox documentation. It took me a while to find out that it appears to only support websites. I know that it says websites on that page, but I had the impression that it naturally supports app's as well.

BTW. I would welcome it if it would support app's as well, even though I've also found a good QR-code scanner as a separate open source app "Barcode Scanner"

Cheers, Hermann

I dont trust dark reader so in firefox desktop i use settings override the colors specified by the page with your selections above to Always, for me is enough, every site is dark and doesnt slow anything, but the real question is how to change or should i say force every site to dark in firefox nightly android, of course in nightly we have about:config available so is hope to do that without extensions but i dont know which line will do the right job? I found something like “browser.display.background_color” but where will be option to activate override the colors like in desktop? Thank you so much as always.

Every tab I open just shows a black screen—new tabs, old tabs, tabs I've hit refresh on... Uninstalling and reinstalling usually fixes it, but I've had to do this multiple times and I'm getting tired of having to resign-in to everything and reinstall any add-ons.

Enhanced Tracking Protection is "Standard" and the add-ons page won't load, so I have to go by memory and say I just have UBlock Origin.

How can I do a search for products, or search for anything that includes more than Amazon crap. I'm looking for products to buy that I don't have to buy from amazon. Amazon has their own set of products and they are not trustworthy and I want to buy products that are more trustworthy and do searches far beyond Amazon l or Google propaganda. I want a much larger and vast range of products to pick from. I've used Google, Firefox, Duck Duck Go, start, almost every search engine, all I get is Google repeat crap and Amazon repeat crap, how can I avoid this? It's all I've been getting for the last 3 years and I just have had it. So do I switch from Mozilla Firefox, or do I switch search engines, do I switch browser, what do I do?
