If I visit a website that supports OpenSearch, how do I add it as a search engine?

The article Use gestures in Firefox for Android says I can long tap on a Web Address to add a site as a search engine: however on Android 10 this only gives me the standard "Open", "Cut", "Copy", "Paste", "Share", and "Read aloud".

Manage my default search engines in Firefox for Android has a section on adding a search engine, but it is cumbersome (manually adding the URL and "%s" for the query string). Plus it then lacks useful features of the OpenSearch standard, e.g. displaying an icon.

I use Better Open With on Android to have a choice of browser when opening links from apps. This has never affected how Firefox operates until the recent update.

Now, FF handles all links in any page as external and asks if I want to leave FF (and present the Better Open With options).

This behavior is not seen in any other browsers I have installed (FF Focus, Chrome, Kiwi, Opera). These browsers handle links on open pages correctly and open internally while also recognizing apps that are installed (Home Depot, etc).

Please fix Firefox to use itself for internally opened links!

Hello, henever I tap a link that subsequently opens to an app of some sort, say for instance YouTube, and then come back to Firefox, Firefox will become completely unresponsive.

I can get it working again if I gesture into my open apps and "refresh" Firefox by opening it again. This happens frequently and is quite annoying.

Any suggestions or is this a reoccurring issue?

Why am I not getting random user agent in this version of Firefox. I have checked frothe adds-on and is not included in the list. Or can you give me the version of Firefox that it is included. Thanks

Hello A little while ago I noticed that my bookmarks from this accound disappeared. I didn't deleted them. In fact I haven't done anything with them for years. But they are precious to me and I would like to ask if you have copy of them or could you bring them back on my account by any chance? (There were lots of them. When i download movies and web series download start but some time network problem stop download. Some browser like brave, samsung internet are started failed download automatically but firefox doesn't and when i tap on retry download start but always in zip file doesn't extract. When I try printing a web page by "save as PDF" I don't know how to remove header & footer info. It's not a security issue (yet), but a nuisance. It makes it hard for me to format pages for length if I want to fit things better and reduce paper use.

Where are options for this? Is it controlled by Firefox? Samsung?

I just forgot my password so i try to change the password and everything gone is there any possibly that i can get beck those info ? Otherwise i should stop using Firefox ?

In my country some sites like instagram or twitter are blocked. Earlier i used google chrome with vpn and all works well. Now i want to try firefox, but i headed this issue. When i connect to vpn and try to open blocked site with firefox it say that "The connection was reset". Is there any solution?

my YouTube play/pause, as well as previous/next video buttons don't work. They're unresponsive to the point where them working is a freak accident. The autoplay, resolution and full-screen buttons are perfectly fine, but trying to tap the one's in the middle is near impossible. Other website players function fine( at least the few I tried), but the websites themselves ( including this one) aren't scaled properly to my resolution. It's zoomed in a little bit too much and leaves off-screen space to the side. Other websites have UI overlap. I've tried a fresh install, but it didn't change anything. Everything works fine on another browser though.

What can I do?

I can no longer send e-letters, though I can receive them. "Send now" has been replaced with an icon resembling a pen balanced diagonally, i.e.: "/", but pressing on that icon gives no result. What must I do to be able to send e-letters again?
