On my android box I have lost the tabs view and don't see the + to add new tab. I do see the tab when I click on the 3 dots then I see the plus+ sign and when I click it it shows a new page but I want to get back to my previous tab but its all messed up. Please, help me get back to the regular firefox browser with tabs and the plus on the normal view. Thank You.

yOUR LATEST UPDATE HAS RUINED MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE USED TO BE GREAT FIREFOx. How can I get back the tabs with the "=" sign to add new tabs like it used to work before? I am having problems navigating and I have spent countless hours being very frustrated trying to fix the useless new tool bar view. Its just a waste of time. Please, help us fix this, I don't want to go wake and broke!

Recent update introduced the possibility to view PDF directly in-browser, no need to download them. Unfortunately the "font viewing" is nice only when you just leave the font size setting to 100%. If you either set going size to e.g. 130% or set to adapt the font size to Android setting in Firefox setting, you get a very bad PDF viewing, with mangled fonts and character overlapped each other

Whatever the website I visit maybe be, the full website URL is never shown. For example when I visit Facebook it shows "m.facebook.com" instead of "https://m.facebook.com". This also happens for websites using "http://" instead of "https://". I know that in the PC version of Firefox this can be fixed by changing the "browser.urlbar.trimURLs" setting in the "about:config" page so that the URL will be completely shown whatever the website may be. I have tried this in Firefox for Android though, but it doesn't work. The "about:config" page just displays a blank white page instead of any settings. Is there any way for me to fix this? P.S.: I use Firefox for Android on my tablet. I don't know what is the case for phones.

The pdf displays like trash, with letters all crammed together and overlapping (crappy kerning!).

I am on the latest Android firefox as of today (4/27/23).

How do I hack Firefox Mobile to set the "Desktop Site" switch to automatically always be on? I would then turn it off manually for those few sites that I want to view the mobile version of?

I'll understand if this is a longshot. However, I need to ask.

I have tried the new user interface that Mozilla put out about two years ago. I tried it when it first updated and I tried it again last year to be sure. And I'm sorry, but I hate it. I hate it so much. It's unwieldy, I don't like the way the tabs are presented, I don't like how New Tab works and most of all I hate that my bookmarks aren't the first thing I see when I open a new tab. I've been using I think Firefox 69 or 79 ever since.

But using an out of date browser obviously has issues. Pictures aren't loading, some webpages aren't loading, including ones I need for school, and recently my adblock stopped being able to block everything.

Which brings me to my question. Is there some way I can update Firefox to the new browser without using the new UI? An add-on, a setting I can change? If it's complicated, I can do it with a decent step by step. Even if you can help me find the right phrase to google to get a how to would be great.

In the past, I could search for a business and the green phone would pop up on it and I could push it and it would open in my call/dial pad. Now it won't. When you click on it in the android mobile version it initially seems like it wants to load but immediately stops and does nothing. Am fully updates, full permissions, and cache/cookies cleaned since this started. Is there any other settings I should be looking at?

Why doses back gesture doesn't delete the current tab. Whenever I go back to homepage it creates new tab and by the time I knew there are multiple tab that I need to close now. Back gesture should delete the current tab when we wanted to go to homepage. Chrome has this feature and Firefox should have this too. I just switched from that's why I am asking. Please guide me.

When I'm on any page on a particular website, in this case archiveofourown.org, there are patches of text on the page that do not show up unless highlighted. This problem has recently gotten worse, with more and larger blank spots and even sometimes the text not even showing up when highlighted. I've tried refreshing the page, restarting the browser, switching to the desktop site (same problem there), uninstalling and reinstalling the browser app, and restarting my phone, none of which has had any effect. I haven't had this problem on any other site so far, and I have no problems with the same site using Firefox on my laptop.

Edited to add: I've now also had this problem on THIS site.

Hi there, Firefox on Android is unable to show a progress on files that is currently being downloaded. It does, show notification, and I can pause and cancel it from there, but the details are unknown, the progress bar doesn't tell how much bytes has been downloaded and when i press pause and resume, the state is horribly unknown, the progress becomes 0%, etc. What I want is that Downloads menu in three-dots menu must show this too, not only the files that has been downloaded.

I recently migrated from Brave to Firefox and noticed that whenever I try to use the android back button it brings me back to the home screen instead of to the last page I was at. Is there any way to make it just go back a page instead of to the home screen?

I am posting this issue at the request of E from Firefox's app developer feedback after I submitted an app review.

The app continues to be unstable on my Pixel 6a (latest OS, Android 13) after freezing up on what appears to be any heavily scrolled pages or those that create a heavy cache. This freezing then causes abrupt phone restarts shortly thereafter, but not always immediately. Usually the culprit seems to be linked to Facebook album viewing, Imgur albums with article-length descriptions, etc. The abrupt phone restarting occurs whether force stopping Firefox and clearing the cache right away or not (although the restarts seem to happen faster if I force stop the app). I have simply closed the app during the freeze, put my phone down, and come back minutes or hours later to it having restarted on its own.

In addition, open tabs have a tendency to lose their scroll spots on a non-infinitely-scrolling page (e.g. an article not requiring expanding) when the app is minimized but not closed. This is probably unrelated(?) and isn't as critical as the spontaneous restarts, however.

It looks like many Pixel 6a users have had this issue, although those support threads from 8-9 months ago have now been archived. Someone else mentioned scripts from the websites themselves may be to blame? Would be curious to hear of any specific fixes. Thanks!

I noticed that on Brave or any chromium based browser (Android), I would be able to just simple highlight part of an URL and then the whole url would be automatically selected. This behaviour is not possible on Firefox (Android) and I would have to manually select the whole URL myself. Please see here for a clearer picture: demonstration Is there a setting that I can possibly turn on to have the same function as in Brave or chromium browsers?

Hi, how disable auto refresh on firefox app in android? If I have an opened page in firefox, I swich to another app, and swich back to firefox page, this firefox page autorefresh, and I need to scroll again, search where I was before swiching. It is possible to disable this option, autorefeesh, for keeping page at swiching in apps. If I am offline, and open an firefox page, this page will be lost...is no good.

having a problem on many websited including wikipedia on android firfox, unless zoomed in much of the text is inivisable, cutting off half way through words, as you soom in text reapears in bits and pieces as if gradulally being uncovered
