Few days ago I downloaded something, but canceled it from the notification. Now a notification with the headline "Downloads" and the file name below keeps popping up every half an hour or so, when Firfox is closed or in the background. I can't click on it and restart it.

Everything is better in Firefox except the download manager. Most of the time when I try to download any file or video it fails. Please improve your download manager.

By default, Firefox only downloads directly to the internal storage, and not the micro SD card I installed. Its become tedious to manually move everything to save phone space every time I download anything.

All the past forums said to use about:config, but I understand the newer Firefox removed that function as it would break the app due to some major internal changes.

Please add the function to set a download path for Firefox to send my files to, including to my SD card.

I downloaded some images in incognito mode from Images tab by using firefox's "save image" option, but i can't find them in my Downloads folder and Firefox says that i didnt download any files

You don't give me the proper. Software I have a Samsung Galaxy and it keeps giving me Android software because it downloads it and I go to sign in to Google and tells me I have android and don't recognize my galaxy fire fox for Android wrong software screw up my phone and accounts

as the title says when downloading a file, firefox causes com.android.phone to crash. enough crashes causes my tablet to panic and auto restart itself.

the only app that can cause this is is firefox, downloading files via something like discord, doesn't trigger it, only firefox. i tried with other apps to no avail.

it started happening after an update (update TB-X606F_S301018_230810_BMP ) (the last update was a year ago so lenovo isn't gonna fix it on their end anytime soon) and it's quite annoying when i need to use firefox to download files to view/use.

Hi Mozilla team. There is some problem with downloading, since few weeks when I use Firefox for download any file/files my mobile signal gets dissappears, for few seconds. Due to that my call gets drop too. This is very serious issue. I tried every possible way to fix this, so I reinstall Firefox but I'm still facing the same problem.

First problem: downloading image in firefox (android) causes SIM to briefly disconnect, causing internet drops on mobile data for a few seconds. SIM provider and location - GolanTelecom Israel. The browser has about 60 tabs of google search open, cant close them due to valuable data. Disabling addons did nothing. Firefox Nightly does not have this issue, only default Firefox app. Second problem: on some sites downloading images always fails ("Download failed") in mobile version of firefox, on desktop images are downloaded fine , e.g. any post on [ https://www.pixiv.net/en/ ]

I am on firefox android. Currently whenever I try to download a file there's a good chance that it fails (like 70%). If the download on a file fails then itll always fail. I have tried clearing cache, disabling all the add ons, enabling external download manager and altering enhanced tracking protection level but nothing works. The only way to "fix" it is by uninstalling but it only solves the issues temporarily. After a certain number of downloads (still uncertain on the number) it goes back to failling. It's incredibly inconvenient to have to do that every 1-2days because it resets all my cookies and I have to relog on all my websites. I have like 30gb on my storage so it couldnt be that. Please any suggestion would be helpful, I feel like I have tried everything at this point. Android version 13 Using the latest version of firefox

As the title says, is there a way to edit file's name before downloading it? Any extension or anything? As in, e.g I'd like to download a photo but change it's file name before I do so, so I don't have to go into files app on my phone in order to modify it. (Sorry if it's easy to do and I just can't find it but I'm super new to Mozilla and used Opera Mobile before, which had that option, so I'm used to it)

After updating Firefox for Android, my phone started rebooting after downloading any file. This makes it very difficult to use the browser and I had to use Chrome temporarily. The Crashes tab in About Firefox is empty. When i download movies and web series download start but some time network problem stop download. Some browser like brave, samsung internet are started failed download automatically but firefox doesn't and when i tap on retry download start but always in zip file doesn't extract. I need to change the download folder from my phone intern memory to my SD card, but I don't see the option to do it, I've seen forum post of people saying It can be done by entering about:config in the browser, but that doesn't work.
