On the Android Mozilla app menu there is No option to sync on my Galaxy S24 Ultra

Phone does not have sync and save data option or ready to scan on Firefox menu so can't complete instruction to pair laptop with Android phone.
While trying to sync my tablet, a pin is required. I never got or set up a pin. Where do I get one?

I have re-synced by desktop and laptop today, but I am unable to sync with my Android phone.
The instructions say to bring up firefox on my phone and click sign in. But whenever I type 'firefox.com' or 'firefox.com/pair' into my firefox browser on my Android phone, I get a version that offers to download firefox! I've been using it for years. I cannot find a way to sign in as instructed.
This has been a very frustrating experience, and I generally expect Mozilla/Firefox to do better.
