Hi, I'm running ... Firefox 120.0? On a US Samsung Galaxy S22 running Android 14 and One UI 6.0.

Korean characters used to display in a uniform font but after a recent phone update, I now get different fonts (with greatly decreased readability). I can't find any font options in the Firefox app and the only thing language-related is what language Firefox menus are in. I also can't find any relevant font options in the phone settings either - can someone help?

Hi Mozilla,

On Samsung One UI 6.0 devices, the Korean fonts are showing serif fonts where as other browsers are showing sans-serif fonts.

It seems when SamsungKorean font on the device changes the nameId=1 value to "SamsungKorean_v2.0" the issue is resolved and shows sans-serif font just like other browsers.

Could the issue be firefox using nameId=1 directly?

I use an app called "ConnectLife" to control my Hisense appliance. I use my Google account to login to the account. The account is also connected to Google Home (GH).

Every so often, I have to reconnect the two via GH. This opens the login page for the account inside the GH app, internally using the default browser.

When that is Firefox, choosing to login with my Google account, I'll either get the return of what looks like the actual code of a JSON file, or a close link that does nothing when tapped. Only thing I can do is cancel the attempt by pressing the back button on my phone in both cases, thus the token is not returned to the GH app.

This works flawlessly in Google Chrome, so the only way for me to connect these two is to change my default browser to Google Chrome, reboot the phone, then reconnect them using the GH app. After that, I can change my default browser back to Firefox, reboot my phone, and go about my business until I need to do it again.

I'll do my best to answer any questions you may have. Thanks in advance!

Hello,

I am getting a frequent freeze in the Android app and then shortly after a crash. Info: - happens on FF, FF Beta, and FF Nightly, and reinstall/phone reset didn't fix. - Samsung Galaxy SM-G965U running Android 10. - every error starts with java.lang.OutofMemoryError. - it never happens just on startup, just on auto fill, or some of the similar crash reports I've seen around here. - it does appear to be site-specific, but sometimes the site works and sometimes it does not: if I close the last tab after a crash, it will usually work for awhile. - Sync and disabling Add-ons doesnt fix it, although perhaps its worse with uBlock Origin enabled (not conclusively)

Thanks for any suggestions.

I tested this in another browser called Google Chrome, and the issue is not present there.

This is a new issue that just started occuring this month Nov/2023. Firefox for Android has suddenly developed an issue where instead of saving to the download folder and renaming the file with (1), (2), etc. It will save to a random folder and overwrite an existing file with the same name.

Noticed occuring on ebay images because they have the same naming structure.

(using 118.2.0) At times the navigation icons and the reload icon disappear from the task bar. When I go into Settings and then back to the browser page the icons are gone. They are still in the "3 dot" menu. The only way I have found to reappear them is to close the app (go into android task list and "swipe" it closed) and reopen it.

Any ideas/suggestions?

Hi there, I recently downgraded Firefox on my Android (5.1.1), as the new versions of the app became to get heavy.

I have logged in with my Account and am now trying to get the bookmarks synced. I have no Desktop right now to pair. The bookmarks and the Account are only available on my iPad, where FF is logged in and has the bookmarks synced.

Any ideas how I can fix this? Thanks for any help and regards, Dan

Whenever I have Firefox for Android set as the default browser, the app causes lots of battery drain for no reason. I have not found any reason for this or any way to stop this, other than to not set FF as the default browser. Does anyone have any insight into this problem? This has been going on for many months now, on different devices. My current device is the Pixel 8 Pro. The screenshot shows exactly what I mean and the majority of this battery drain happened overnight when the phone was not being used.

On the mobile app for Android (Google Pixel 2 XL, Android version 11), there's this really annoying issue where tabs are constantly duplicated. Normally, it's when I search something on Google (through Firefox). It pulls up the search results, of course. But when I hit a link, here's what happens: the tab is redirected as it should be, but simultaneously another tab is opened, which is a duplicate of the original tab (the one with the search results), and Firefox switches to view that tab, tab 2. So I have to go back to tab 1 to see whatever, and usually I then close tab 2. After this, once I've been hit a few links on a single tab, caused that tab to redirect a few times, it stops doing this. I've also noticed a similar issue, specifically with Google images in Firefox. Sometimes, when I open a picture to view it, every time I go to the tab with the picture, it opens a tab of the Google images page (before I selected a picture). This will happen endlessly sometimes, every time I open the tab to view the picture, meaning I never actually get to see the picture.
