my usernames and passwords are not syncing....i have all my passwords and usernames saved on my pc....and I’ve synced all passwords and logins and can view them on both devices. ‘Autofill in Firefox’ and ‘Autofill in other apps’ are both on. But, when logging in to apps on the Samsung, autofill doesn’t work. Even if I fill in my email address, there is no password suggestion. Instead, a small dropdown message appears: ‘unlock Firefox’. It isn’t active, and doesn’t open anything when I tap on it. Result: I have to go looking for the passwords and fill them in manually. I hope there’s a solution. thank u in advance for your help. LL

I am running Ff 114.0.2 on a Windows 11 workstation and Ff mobile on a Samsung Galaxy S20. Syncing is enabled on both devices, but passwords are not syncing, even after manually syncing. Autofill of usernames and passwords works on my workstation, but not on my mobile device, even though that feature is enabled. Sometimes (but not always), I am prompted on my mobile device to unlock Firefox, but after tapping the prompt, nothing happens.

My previous android phone was lost, I have installed firefox to new android phone. But I am unable to get previous data on this phone. I have logged in with my account and also synced. No pareils data came.

I just reset my password of my firefox account. On the desktop I don't have any of my logins.

On my android, it logged me out, I logged in with the new password. My Logins are still there, but I am not able to sync them to my Desktop.

How can I achieve this?

Hey, I need to move bookmarks and passwords from an old Android phone (A10, FF116.0) to a new Android device (A13, FF116.2.0). This transfer didn't work during Android setup on the new one.

Trying to sync via Firefox Sync made the new device download the data from the Desktop PC instead of the old device. This is no help because the Desktop hat thousands of bookmarks and too many passwords that are not meant for Android device. I need to copy the set of data from the old device.

The synced bookmarks and passwords cannot be deleted from the new Android device. (Or one by one only, which means "not" for thousands.)

1. How to delete all bookmarks and passwords from the new device?

2. Is there a way to sync only the data from the old Android device to the new one, ignoring the Desktop?

I'm running the latest versions of firefox on both my pc and android mobile. Both are connected to the same firefox account and both appear to sync fine, however it appears to only work in one direction. My bookmarks and PC logins and passwords all sync to the mobile, however whilst it will send mobile bookmarks to my pc it does not appear to update the logins and passwords from my mobile back to my pc.

Its all set up fine (i've no master password), my phone shows up in connected devices, and it says its syncing, but it just isn't sending the logins/passwords back to my pc firefox for some reason.

Any suggestions?

I just finished setting up my new pc with Windows 11 (Feb 2023 updates) and installed Firefox 110.0.1) and wanted to transfer my logins, passwords, etc, from my Android 12 Phone's Firefox 110.1.0, and other pcs. A window popped up giving instructions how to sync my phone, as follow:

• • • Sync Firefox on you phone or tablet. 1) open Firefox on your Mobile Device. 2) Go to the menu (<ios>&<android>menu examples shown) and tap sync and save data. 3. Tap ready to scan and hold your phone over this code.***

I'm 73, have used Firefox since first release in 2004. In all these years I have never seen SYNC in the instructions to "sync and save and to point the phone at a barcode-thingy" or at least not in this world. The instructions made it seem like SYNC was right there to see, but I had to dig thru layes of options to finally find it. You can blaim it on my 73 yr old brain, I guess, but nothing like these instructions exist in Windows or Android firfox. What in the world are your programmers smokin' these days. I would just as soon open up Edge or Chrome and did up the passwords I need to log into my banking and creditcard accounts...heck, it seems like MAYBE I should just dump Firefox after almost 20 years and just use those other browsers. At least there instructions are much simpler that this ol' man can follow. Please have someone review your published helps info on your webpages, and help those Sr. citizens like me to more easily find what we need without calling up grandsons or granddaughters for help (their parents are worse than I am at most techy stuff!) Both are logged into the same email, I have bookmark syncing on for both the phone and laptop, I've tried logging in and out, but none of the bookmarks I made on computer show up on the mobile browser.

Hi, I' ve got problem to transfer passwords which i have on desktop Firefox browse to one on my mobile. On desktop i use Ubuntu 20.04, as mobile i use Samsung A53 5G with Android 13. I used button synchronize now on my browser, i reinstalled both firefoxes (on desktop & mobile). But nothing works. Thanks.

Hi folks, I'm having a weird issue with syncing/sending tabs.

Desktop > Laptop and Laptop > Desktop are 100% fine for sending tabs between the pair.

Android Phone > Desktop is perfectly fine.

Desktop > Android Phone just doesn't send the tabs to the device.

I've signed out both at FF 4 android and the devices list then signed back in, re-synced the desktop and mobile and checked they could see each other again and there is no change. It used to work fine. It's handy when say going to the hardware store to drop the tab from the laptop or desktop to the phone to know where I'm looking when I get there but lately I've had to put a link into OneNote instead which is less than desirable.

So I'm hoping someone might have a cause and fix.

Why does sync break EVERY week on my phone. EVERY week I have to spend half an hour trying and usually failing to get my phone to be able to receive tabs from my desktop computers. Why do you break this critical feature with every update no matter how large.

I restart both firefox on all my devices as well as the devices themselves. I clear cache, cookies and even do fresh installs. Nothing works until a day or so later it magically deigns to function again.

i have pinned shortcuts on mac. they do not sync with with my android. i cannot change any shortcuts on mobile. when removing them other ones pop up. is there any way so both of the devices have the same shortcuts

Hello. I am trying To follow the steps to sync my phone and computer. In the directions, it says to go to my Firefox account settings end tap sync and save your data. However, I cannot find the sync and save your data button anywhere. Where is it located, please? I'm on a Samsung s23 Thanks!

the story here is I had my OS drive on my desktop completely fail, wouldn't write, wouldn't read, didn't have anything too important just games EXCEPT for the backups to my bookmarks, i got a new drive and installed firefox. when i logged in, my bookmarks weren't there and it synced with my mobile firefox and the bookmarks that i had before my OS drive failed on my phone also disappeared, Im just wondering if firefox mobile has backups of bookmarks and if It does how do I replace these backups on my mobile and if possible use the backups on mobile to fix my bookmarks on my pc.

Please help. My seamless syncing is not seamless. Laptop has win11, version 114, all the necessary options, but my phone has no in-browser scan accessed through the missing 'sync and save data' option. I remain a loyal (2004) user. Thank you

I cannot get Firefox to sync my bookmarks to to my new android. Other things are syncing so I know sync is working it just will not sync the bookmarks. I have tried everything. I have checked my sync settings a dozen times. I've signed out and signed back in on both devices. I have even uninstalled on both devices while signed out and reinstalled and still I cannot get the bookmarks on my phone. Please help! It's a Galaxy s21 and I am on windows 10
