I'm using Firefox Nightly 130.0a1 on Samsung Galaxy S23 FE. When I open a video in fullscreen and it rotates to landscape, there is a large gap between the video and the edge of the screen. Interestingly, this gap is affected by the setting "Customize -> Address bar location" - If the address bar is set to appear on top the gap is on top, and if the address bar is set to appear on bottom the gap is on the bottom. I've included screenshots from both settings. This happens on both YouTube and Dailymotion, so it is a browser issue and not a site issue.

Hello guys !!

Is there any way to copy comments from YouTube on Firefox for android ?? The long press doesn't do anything.

It works on chrome and on edge, so this isn't a limitation from the YouTube. Obviously it works on desktop, but I don't know why doesn't work on android.

I suddenly lost the login info for the Montreal Gazette app on my tablet last week. I was no longer able to login to Montreal Gazette website, which controls the login on the app.

I restarted the tablet, opened the app, and tried to login. The website just sat there and nothing happened. I tried to login to the website alone and was not able to login.

I contacted App Support and they asked me to uninstall the app and reinstall it. Same problem!

Just in case it was a Firefox issue, I tried Chrome. I was able to login to the website!

In order to use their app, I am going to have to change my default Android Browser to Chrome, something I am not at all happy about!

Any ideas on why FF doesn't allow me to login?

Thanks very much,

John

Slow loading sites. I've cleared cache, no sync options set (not available to change sync. It just continues to stick in bufferering) & have no additonal tracking blockers running. The other 4 browsers I use are working fine. Sonits definitely a Firefox issue.

  • also, sporadically I'm not able to edit a bookmark after saving a page. The edit option will not appear & clicking on the bookmark again doesn't open the bookmark. I've also uninstalled & reinstalled. Samsung Galaxy Note9 with latest non-beta build using latest Android. I like using Firefox over the other apps so any help is appreciated.

Google is the only search engine I've selected for my Firefox Android browser. Often in the last month or so – after I type a search term into the omnibox at the top of my Firefox browser page – a "bing.com" results page opens. In fact, after I tried the words 'bing hijack' in this Mozilla Help page's own dedicated search box (NOT the browser's omnibox) another 'bing.com' page opened with search results This has happened in two different mobile devices that are synced to the same Firefox account. I do use the uBlock extension so I added the bing URL to the "My Filters" list, and my browser is always set for 'Strict' tracking protection. Is there any way to defeat this nonsense?

For some days I have an issue with playing YouTube videos in Mozilla android browser: videos appear as if they were enlarged several times, and I only see a top left corner of the video in low resolution. Full-screen mode, "view for PC" browser option did not change it. I tried reinstalling app, also installed Firefox nightly - the issue remained. On the other hand, videos on other websites, YouTube in chromium based browsers, Firefox on other devices do not have this issue. What could it be?

Past couple months I have tried MANY different ways to get Firefox to stop blurring Google searched items on my Android phone. I've check updates weekly, many settings, looked to install older version, changed user accounts, this issue is ONLY in Firefox, asked forums & found I'm not the only one with this issue. So far NOTHING WORKS. 😡 I NEED an answer to this fix, I'm just short of using a different Browser. Thanks

I need to reach the about:config menu but firefox takes me to a search menu on the engine I chose (duckduckgo). It provides lots of nice info but not how to reach this feature.

I am using Chrome OS so possibly that is the issue.

Thanks!

Firefox is failing to display text properly on pages. Paragraphs are getting whited out at seemingly random. If I zoom or highlight the missing part I can usually get it to show up.

I'm using the android mobile version.

I've tried: Clearing the cache Uninstalling/reinstalling Firefox Deleting all add ons Restarting my device Changing font display sizes in Firefox and on my device

It's only Firefox, pages display properly when I try using a different browser. This has been an ongoing problem but its suddenly effecting huge chunks of text on all websites where previously it would only block a word or two on some websites.

(It was even effecting text while trying to type this ticket which is super annoying. )

Dear Mozilla support,

For a while I have the problem that when I want to watch a video fullscreen on a website e.g. youtube, inline video etc. Firefox stops and completely closes. This is only the first time when I play the video. When I re-open the browser I can continue watching the video fullscreen without any problem. I don't receive any error messages.

Attached the specs of my phone and Firefox browser.

Kind regards, Rick
