Hi, how can I open a local html file with firefox 86 on android 9? It's like firefox no longer registers itself as a valid program/association to open html files.

What I've tried so far: 1) If I type file:/// in the URL bar, nothing happens. It works on Opera. 2) If I go to a file manager, select an html file, and click "Open with", firefox doesn't show up; Chrome and Opera do. 3) If I go to the android settings > applications > firefox > associations, firefox shows no associated file types at all.

The HTML language isn't only used on the Internet, it's also used for local documents, please allow us to use firefox to view our local html files.

Quite à few month ago, after update, my new Firefox for Android does not allow me to access to the print option. I cannot find the page nor the tools options using my mobile. When using edge, chrome or other browser, I still do have this option and therefore able to print pdf copies of the resources I do want to archive. Is it possible to know why these printing options are unaccessible on Firefox using Android ?

I'm making this thread since the previous one was closed and provided no real solution, yet the result shows on the very top of Google. So I like to provide helpful information to others in my answer below.

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/add-web-page-shortcuts-your-home-screen indicates that to add a bookmark to my Android home screen, I should navigate to the desired website, open the three dot menu and click on "Add to Home screen." I have successfully done this in the past. But now the option is missing from the menu. I am using Firefox Daylight V 91.1.0. The option still shows up and works in my Andriod Chrome, but not in my Android Firefox Thank you in advance for your ideas.

I've searched and read several "fixes" for this problem, but they either don't make sense, are old, or don't work.

I have enabled sync on both devices. I have selected logins to be synced on both devices. I am not using primary password on either device. Still, I cannot get my passwords to show up in my android device.

Please help and keep it simple, because some of the answers elsewhere made no sense to me. I apparently need very small words to understand.

Cannot access about:config on Firefox android. This seems to be an intentional action as there is an archived thread where other users had the same problem and Firefox did crikets and did not resolve the issue.

Without the ability to access about:config it is almost impossible to prevent browser hacks and spying through microphone and camera using the Firefox's always on webrtc due to this.

For anyone reading this search for "webrtc leaks" . Then read about the dangers of having webrtc on by default as Firefox does with impunity.

This needs to stop and it is a huge security hole.

Firefox developers needs to enable about:config so that users can switch off shouting vulnerabilities like this.

There has been threads before like this, but developers do nothing about this issue which is very very curious.

Should we believe they want to leave webrtc on permanently, knowing that it can be used maliciously as reported?

I am unable to save images from a Google images search. This has been an ongoing issues for many months now, possibly closure to 1 year now. Previously, I was able to search in google images, click the image to enlarge, long press and have an option to save that image. Now, I search the image and have no way to save it. Long press and nothing happens, or it highlights the words below the image. No options come up at all. I can save the image if I switch to desktop view or if I click the images link and go to the source location of the image and save from that website. I simply cannot save from Google images. It's extremely frustrating. Have uninstalled and reinstalled and updated during this time. No current updates available. Firefox Android Version 93.2.0

How do I stop Firefox mobile from refreshing every time I leave the app and come back? This wouldn't be such a big issue expect for the fact that I use bitwarden as my password manager. So every time I want to enter my password bitwarden leaves Firefox so I can unlock my vault. Then when I re-enter Firefox Bitwarden is unable to fill in the username and password cause the page is refreshing. Sometimes it even takes me out of the password page because the login screen for the site is a pop-up. Not a separate window.

This also becomes super annoying when filling out any forms and I need to grab info from another app cause a lot of time on form pages when you refresh the page the form gets cleared. It's at it's worst if I have to leave Firefox to copy and paste multiple items because then I copy one item, re enter Firefox paste, leave Firefox to copy the next item, re enter Firefox and the thing I pasted before is gone because the page refreshed! STOP REFRESHING THE PAGE EVERY TIME I LEAVE AND RENTER THE APP!!! It doesn't matter if I leave for mear seconds or used the recent app section to quickly switch between Firefox and another app.

I want to install firefix on an old Samsung with Android 4.1.2 I know, its not supported any more. That old samsung is for a very special perpose and will not have any personal data, therefore security is not a problem. Which firefox version will run? Where can I get the APK? Regards Richard

I am trying to disable auto-refresh on my tabs when I minimize them, but when I type 'about: config' into the address bar, it just shows search engine results instead of opening it as an actual URL. I have already gone into settings and disabled all search suggestions, and it's still doing it anyway.

What am I supposed to be doing here? I spent tons of time in the support community looking for fixes to my problem and all I found were people telling me to use Nightly, but I don't want to give up basic capabilities like printing etc.

I installed Firefox APK on MI Box S 4K (offical github latest non-beta release on firefox support site). Everything is OK except it is installed as a system app, meaning that I can't add it to my favorites on the Mi Box welcome screen. So I have to go to parameters/app each time and run it :-( and it is very bad... I have installed other APKs (file system, player and so on) and none was installed as a system app they all was ready for favorites. Did I something wrong ? Wahat can I do to get it in my favorites ? Thank for your help, it is a bore to install it OK and be stuck like this !

In previous version of Firefox (the one with regular tabbed browsing for normal and private browsing) if use https://api.whatsapp.com/send?phone=0919848012345, I used to get a button continue chat and clicking on it used to take me to WhatsApp directly. Not the button directing me to an WhatsApp page asks me install :(. Also selecting the URL used to give me WhatsApp app icon along with cut copy paste options, which also used to direct me to WhatsApp. Now that icon is missing. The latest Android+Firefox update has Firefox opening in Immersive Mode (full screen, hiding Navigation bar and Status/notification bar). I am frequently navigating between apps, so this requires me to do a lot of extra gestures in my daily interactions with Firefox. Also, I miss being able to quickly check the time and my battery life in the status bar. I know some people like immersive mode, but there are many use cases where forced full screen is not desirable, so there should be a setting to toggle this off.
