Which data are stored in "User Data" and how to clear this kind of stored data? When deleting data in the privacy settings in Firefox, the "User Data" storage is still unchanged. Also "Cache" is not cleared completely.

The "User Data" raises up to 1GB. It is only possible to clear it by completely wiping all data via "Clear Storage" but then everything is wiped, also all Firefox settings etc. "Clear Cache" obviously only wipes the Cache.

One of the sites I like to visit just started doing pop-up ads. I thought I had them blocked. How do I block pop-ups? I cannot seem to find in the in the settings?

I'm trying to remove over 500 passwords saved in FF, I removed it on PC and it disappeared from all connected Win clients. But I can't remove it from Android - they are still in FF & Lockwise. Tell me then, why sync works between Win clients but Android client ignores deletion of passwords?

Im being denied in a bunch of apps. They are saying that i may not be private anymore. I have a screenshot of what PayPal sent me if that would help. I had to reset my password 4 times and uninstall and reinstall 5 times and I still got a notification stating I had not internet connection. I called my carrier and they ran a scan or something on my phone and said my connection was good. So the tech guy went to settings and reset my entire device. It worked for a second but the something started happening again. So paypal sent me what notifications they keep receiving when i try to access my account. I have the screenshot if you want it.

I'm having trouble breaking down the specific behavior of fingerprinting protection for the 3 settings levels.

According to the Windows release notes dated 1 October 2023, "Additionally, you can choose whether to block Suspected Fingerprinters in all windows or just in private windows", but also, "To disable Fingerprinting Protection and return to the default settings, simply select "Standard" or "Strict"

In my reading, these two statements conflict. I'm under the impression that "known fingerprinter" blocking is always active, even on standard. Does enabling "Strict" enhanced protection also enable "suspected fingerprinter" blocking, and if so, is it active on all windows or only in private browsing? Does that mean we need to use the "Custom" setting to enable suspected fingerprinting blocking in all windows?

My question is the same for Firefox for Android 131.0, except in the mobile app's case, the release notes contain even less detail - so I could also be off-base there. TBH I am probably missing something obvious, so if anybody can even point me in the right direction I'd be grateful!

I put in firefox as a browser. I have problems with Google Chrome. It insists on knowing anything I do. It won't allow me any privacy. Has become a nightmare with it. I have been scammed by a lot of its play store apps, and by Google it's self. Can I do anything without it interfering with anything?? It has taken over my firefox browser, and it has to have all my bank info and game info. Even if I purchase things, it has stopped them from going thru, and hid texts sent to me from my bank. It's like it's a virus, it won't let me enjoy a game or do anything without warning on putting firefox in and it stopped my emails when I made it my default, plus it stated I wasn't allowed to purchase anything if I didn't go thru it. I won't give it my card, cause I make a purchase and it either won't go thru or I have extra amounts taken. I hate Google and it either it gets away from me or I'll throw this in the river! And I don't want to hit the share data, button. Cause u then, might not receive this. I disabled while I sent.

does Firefox have a ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE that can run while I'm surfing web. the Artificial intelligence should be able to see what's on my web pages viewed and gather all the info I see

My phone is acting strangely and I am running out of storage space have tred to install a antivirus system which is meant to be free but keep getting redirected to a website that is asking me to pay £1.99 a month but if it is meant to be Free why am I being asked to pay and have to give my bank details I am very worried and dont know what to do Can you please help me and advise me what I should or can do to protect my phone. Please advise me what to I should do next If you can resolve this Youself that would be great because I am no good with technology and can't really follow instructions due to the fact that even the simplest of instructions for me is extremly difficult to follow but because I am talking to someone or something that overestimates my ability on a false assumption I am the left in a situation that for me is almost impossible to resolve I am not unintelligent But that is not the problem my ability with technology is always overrated simply because the starting point of my assumed knowledge is based on something that knows the subsect matter inside out but does not seem to grasp or understand this scenario or indeed my situation and its not because it is unintelligent either the point I am trying to make here I simply can't do what the person or A.I. Assumes I can do I know what the problem is because the problem is because I am at the lowest level of computer or technology learning the best analogy I can give is simply this I am like a learner driver with zero knowledge of how to drive and the instructor whose knowledgle of the subject matter is not in doubt. But, what the real problem is because the instructer is trying to teach me thing's that are far to advanced I am doomed and destined to fail I dont lack ability or Intelligence and clearly niether does the Instructor the problem for me simply lies in the level of my ability to grasp concepts in a subject matter I know nothing about is being overrated every time it is both frustrating and upsetting in equal measure but I cant solve the prolem even though I know what it is Its like trying to teach a child how to understand the alphabet, you simply have to pitxh any level of instruction to suite the individual if my level of comprehension is A.B.C. and I am being asked to decipher the Egyptian Hidroglifics without the Rosseta Stone ( or even assuming) (Once again wrongly of course that even if I did have it) it simply would not make a blind bit of difference either way. Being Classified as "Severely Disabled" does not mean I am Stupid but it also should not be overestimated either. Blood Clots on my Lungs and will take Apixiban for the rest of my Life. Arthritis in my spine problems with my feet ( and I have to wear Special Insoles, I have CTS (Carpal Tunnel Syndrome) in both hands and cant type either to Fast or too long, I have weight problems and am classed as Morbidly Clinically Obese but I am now on Mounjaro and its it's working, so Yippee for that, and finally I also suffer from mood swings and severe depression with what is classed as Suicidal Ideation. But other than that the rest of my life is absolutely peachy. So to conclude as mr peeps said and so, to bed. Thank you for taling the time to read this Tomb but Joking Aside (For the Record I Do genuinely have and suffer from all the things Ive Mentioned) I hope you can help me with the issue mention I dont have a problem with all the other stuff its called "Life" but I love mine and change and adapt and get on with it because I am in control of that,( or at least most of it most of the time so that helps) as for the technical stuff I am totally lost, but as an ex Musician and Driving Instructor I could still help to improve things for people who are both Learning and actually Teaching people about Technology not because I understand the sibject matter but mainly because I dont insight is a wonderful thing and Hindsight is the realization of the mistakes everyone makes and Hopefully learns from it. When will Gecko-based Firefox Android increase the number of default search engines in 2025?

Currently it hosts only Big Tech namely Google and Microsoft Bing and DuckDuckGo, which is Bing and MSN results in DuckDuckGo and Qwant (same Bing results) latter which works only in the UK.

I'm using Gecko-based browsers like Fenix and Mull and Iceraven, and they all come with like 5 to 10 search engine options.

Adding new search engines is a mess and doesn't sync with Firefox account settings, so futile efforts.

Even Chrome allows us to select our search engine, if we are visiting it too much.

Is Firefox really privacy based browser or just Big Tech in Firefox like Google as default search engine out of the box, no asking which the XYZ user wants?
