Clear browser on exit suppose to automatically clear history, this is a serious problem.

Why is this being ignored, this browser is no longer safe to use, clean install on Android phone

Yes, Android, not any other system that people keep telling me to check, and they talk as if the windows version is the same.

Has the team stopped Firefox for Android?

I give up now, need to use a safe chrome browser now

1. Does VPN replace internet security program (I currently have Norton 360) and all its attending features such as anti-virus, firewall etc? 2. When I go online to shop or research topics, these sites often suggest that I allow their "extensions" to be added to my devices to "enhance" my experience on their sites or so they can provide me with more "relevant" information to me. With VPN installed how will this affect my interactions with these sites? Are these extensions only a guise for these companies to collect my personal information ?

i wish when i press quit there will be a choice whether i want to delete all the private data.it will be just like the desktop version where i can browse in private and close the browser without leaving any trace.

From Android 4.0 it's possible to bind a proxy to a specific ssid. In that way every application works with the wifi using the chosen proxy. However, this doesn't happen with firefox, because it use no proxy by default and you have to set it up manually. Does the current version of firefox mobile support system proxy settings? If not, when is it supposed to be implemented? It's kinda annoying having to manually set the proxy every time :/

i am using firefox beta version 18.0 for andoid and came across a site that has no trusted certificate. i am well aware of the site and tried to add permanent exception. the problem is after tapping on the add exception, nothing is happening.

is this a bug or is there another way to permanently add exception.

Having an ad free mobile solution would be a substantial competitive advantage for Firefox and the predominant reason why I would consider switching to 'yet another' OS.

ok so ive delete my history on my phone i have a HTC one S and all my history form firefox has gone is there any way i can recover it? I know on PCs you get the Index.dat recovery option is this possible on mobiles?

I've seen that a similar post was marked 'solved' but as there is no workaround, surely it should be left open.

I've been using Firefox since 2005 - almost always on Windows - though have used it on Linux. I recently got an Android tablet and was shocked at how (let's say) different, the browser is on the platform.

Tabs have been taken from the top of the screen and moved to the left. No easy dropdowns for favorite sites and worst of all, there is some ridiculous 'Top Sites' feature. I really dont see the need for such a feature as my 'top sites' would be in my favourites..

If top sites is anything like the desktop version (which thankfully was easy to get rid of) then it could potentially show a screen with my banking details (balance etc) to anyone that uses firefox on a shared tablet.

A ridiculous security oversight.. Why can we not set a homepage to a website or whatever we want? I would also like to see some further customisation options for tablets. We have a lot of screen real-estate, you know..

I see that the top sites thing is being looked at but can you please leave at least one post open to post updates.. I will be installing Firefox again but will have to use something else in the meantime - at least until I can get user profiles on my Galaxy 10.1 in 4.2.
