Even though I've never changed my settings aside from the first time I changed them to my preferred settings, for whatever reason, Firefox no longer opens links I tap on in external apps. I changed the settings to do it that way the very first time and it worked fine up until a little while ago. Now, the only way it opens a link in the external app when I tap on it, is if I tap and hold, and then choose that option in the pop-up menu. As I said, in the settings it IS set to open links in external apps, but it doesn't do it anymore.

Hello, due to problems with the Firefox Beta (for Android), I switched to the stable version. However, with this version I also encounterd some problems, mainly regarding the homepage: In the beta version collections are displayed (at the bottom) of the homepage. In my stable version, I cannot see the collections at all. I can still add sites to collections, and when doing so, all my collections are shown but I don't know how to access them. I could not find anything about it in the settings. Is this the regular behavior? If not, how can I change it?

Sometimes, when opening a link in a new tab, the page does not load and only a blank white screen is displayed. To make the page actually load, I have to manually tap the address bar and press the "Go" button on the virtual keyboard.

In other cases, when the link is supposed to be opened in an external app (for example, a social media app or a banking app), the hang occurs without even showing a new blank tab. In this case, there is no address bar available, so it becomes impossible to fix the issue manually.

I need help with fixing certs I beleive were changed by an application. I found some files in an application I installed through another without fully looking at the extra packaged material. One seems to be a configuration file for CA certs and the other is a list of SSL certs taken from Mozilla that were included with the intent of editing trusted user certs. I now see the evidence of a Linux device using my Firefox. To me, that is pretty clear evidence that Shell was used for some connection. So, with that, I'm assuming the certs on my device are not correct, and need to be fixed. Please let me know what I can do for this and if there is any other information you can give me on how to find out more about what to do. Unfortunately, there are also files that seem to also change user to a fake user while they gain root as guest. Any additional information including removing and replacing all certs wouldbe very helpful. Im trying to get to a certain point of restricting access and making a move to alert the correct people in Github and a couple of others with/towards some of the files before I do any kind of reset as I am not fully sure how tainted the restore might be.

When I open the tab tray and realize that I don't know where the tab I'm looking for is, I would like to be able to type some search terms to find it.

This is when I am searching for a tab that I know is open, so I'm not using the new tab workflow.

Firefox keeps restoring deleted history on my cell phone.This option is not available to me in settings: To prevent Firefox from restoring deleted history after a closure or crash, disable the "Open previous windows and tabs" setting in Settings > General under the Startup section. Also, about:config does not work on my cell phone.

Recently, my homepage has started showing shortcuts again, a feature I previously had turned off cause I dislike it and it often just shows random sites and searches I've done. I went to turn it off again, only for the toggle switch or shortcuts section of the customization settings to not be there at all??? Is this a glitch? Because I don't like this feature and I really hope they've changed it to something you can't turn off

The Firefox mobile app for Android won't let me highlight more than one word when I hold down to select and copy text. Within the last week, tabs I delete from history reappear the next time I open my browser history.

Login Autofill in Android 14 not happinging despite all possible settings. I found. Google only gets to do it. Any ideas on how to yank it loose, so Firefox gets it? Firefox is set as the default. Autofill app.

Eccentially it said why cant you make all of the security of all your apps that i use be based on me having to remeber some info that i cant. Which means i cant get in. Instead why cant all my security be based on either facial recognition or fingerbprints ?? Because If i cant remember my password then chances are i wont be able to remember the recovery info too so i am still stuck

Ive no idea why, I woke up the next morning and seemed as if an update occured. If I make a search it shows text and location as if i am from the Nederland, it's difficult only having a phone but no matter what changes I attempt and try to save...with no avail..continues remaining the same, after days trying to fix i was finally able to find this option. Respectfully, ask for help. Thought this was a private discussion of the issue and not an open thread?
