Hello,

Is there a way to refresh a page on Firefox for Android by dragging down the viewport?

I use it all the time on Opera for Android and it's really helpful.

Wondering if you can enable that option or where to request that feature for a new version of the browser.

Thank you!

A few updates back, the home icon appeared on my navigation bar next to the URL bar. I don't have a home page set up so this button is useless for me and only takes up space. I've looked through the settings and found no option to hide it. Is there any other way to turn it off?

This is regards to another application issuing startActivity Intent.ACTION_VIEW on Firefox of a URI with Browser.EXTRA_APPLICATION_ID set.

Previously, it worked so (the syntax is not to be taken literally). startActivity(ACTION_VIEW, uri="http://example.com/a.htm", app="MySpecialTab") -> opened a tab with a.htm startActivity(ACTION_VIEW, uri="http://example.com/b.htm", app="MySpecialTab") -> used same tab for b.htm startActivity(ACTION_VIEW, uri="http://example.com/b.htm", app="MySpecialTab") -> used same tab for b.htm and refreshed.

Now, with the most recent release: startActivity(ACTION_VIEW, uri="http://example.com/a.htm", app="MySpecialTab") -> opened a tab with a.htm startActivity(ACTION_VIEW, uri="http://example.com/b.htm", app="MySpecialTab") -> opened a new tab for b.htm startActivity(ACTION_VIEW, uri="http://example.com/b.htm", app="MySpecialTab") -> does not refresh.

I went looking for some config but couldn't find anything. The fact that I can't get it to refresh is a bigger deal-breaker than the fact that it opens more tabs.

Hi,

Is there any way to disable the pop-up switch notification which reads "New tab opened Switch"?

I'm talking about the momentary button on the bottom.onnthe screen which provides a way to immediately switch over to the newly opened tab (the colored one).

For clarification, I want to disable ONLY the momentary notification itself, not the ability to open links in new tabs. I've installed a custom add-on which opens new tabs automatically, so the notification is now redundant (and annoying).

Thanks!

As of today dark mode is no longer working on Firefox Nightly. I noted latest update is dated 1.7.2022. If I go to settings and customize, none of the option buttons (light, dark or auto) are selected. I select dark mode and the display changes to white on black as you would expect. When I go back to home page it reverts to black on white. Checking settings the dark mode selection is cleared and no option is set.

I use dark mode a lot due to eye issues.

I have installed Firefox on my Chromebook but after logging in I do not get the Bookmarks Toolbar and I'm unable to select it from the right mouse drop down as I can on my Windows installation. This is the same on the iPhone so I am assuming that there is a different way of doing this in the mobile versions but I cannot find it. Does anybody else know and can point me in the right direction?

I noticed that Firefox on Android recently added a home button on the toolbar (just left of the address bar). I'm currently using version 95.2.0. Not sure when exactly this change was introduced, but I think it was fairly recently. That button certainly didn't used to be there.

I would like to hide that home button as I never use it and would prefer to let the address bar expand to use that space. I couldn't find any setting to do it though.

Please let me know how to hide that button. Thanks!

(Ideally, I'd like something similar to the customize toolbar options that desktop Firefox has where I can freely add/remove and reorder things on the toolbar. But a simple "show/hide home button" switch would suffice for now)

Whenever I open Firefox on android phone it comes up with 0 on the right side in a box indicating the number of tabs open. And it will also always show the following image. I don't want Incognito so I don't click on that. I just wanted to show google.com and not the rest of the text that's on the screen. Is there an ad in for a home page in this version or did you remove it all? Again this is on a cell phone. Thank you very much, i appreciate it

All I want to do is to put a Firefox Mobile bookmark for a specific web page on my Android home screen. This should be trivial, but unfortunately the site supports PWA/A2HS, so the "Add to Home Screen" option goes missing and gets replaced with the inferior and frustrating "Install" option in the main menu.

What's wrong with PWA (Progressive Web App) / A2HS (ironically named Add2HomeScreen)? Using this Install option, the site opens 1) to a main page and NOT the page I bookmarked, and 2) without the ability for me to get to any of the Firefox menus. This makes it utterly worthless for the actual use case of adding a link to the home screen.

How can I either 1) get the Add to Home Screen option to always display regardless of if the site supports PWA/A2HS, or 2) Prevent Firefox from even recognizing PWA/A2HS sites?

There should be readily available options in Firefox to prevent this situation, but I can't find one.
