Wondering if a toggle option or some implementation of this will ever be added into the Android browser, as I've been waiting a long while now for this feature and especially as the user-agent fix no longer works.. Requesting desktop website fails as always to load the correct website version. Are there any other workarounds if possible? My device is new and I'd like to load desktop versions of websites on it when away from my home computer device as the mobile websites are clunky and don't provide as concrete a base of information. If it's at all feasible. Many thanks.

I need help in installing a caret browsing add-on for my Android cell. I want to insert a cursor on any webpage and use my left/right arrows to move through the text so I can track where I am reading. I can do this on my laptop but not my Android cell. I have tried Edge and Chrome but the add-on is not available for Android. Any solution would be greatly appreciated, even if I need a different browser. Thanks in advance. Runningdog2019@outlook.com

FF App, Gboard issue: tapping in most text fields makes the FF browser slide up

Hello, on most websites, when I tap in a text field, FF tends to jerk up a few lines. This happens every single time I tap in a text entry field, and the number of lines the page shoots up seems to vary based on stuff on the page. Sometimes it's just a few lines, other times it's half the page. When the Gboard comes up, if I start typing, the screen shoots back down to the text field so I can see what I'm typing as I type. The screen will stay put on the text field while I'm typing, but if I tap anywhere in the text field, it shoots back up. Needless to say, this makes editing text on FF mobile a living nightmare.

I'm attaching a screenshot of me tapping in the Enter Comment section of a youtube video where the screen jerks up. You can see the blue cursor shift literally on top of the youtube video. This is the image on the left. In the right image I tapped some key and the screen shifts back down so I can see what I'm typing. If I were to tap anywhere in the text field, the screen would shoot up again until I start typing.

This happens on other websites as well. Youtube is a funny exception because the video stays on top while the cursor moves ontop of it. On other websites where the text fields are at the bottom of the page, this strange issue can send me flying halfway up the page. Oh, and this doesn't happen in other phone applications such as discord, tumblr while using Gboard.

Is this a FF issue or a Gboard issue? I haven't tried with other keyboards (i.e., Samsung board). I am running the latest version of FF and Gboard, all my apps are up to date. I'm on Android 10, using a galaxy s9.

Thank you and have a nice day.

Yes, I used my favorite search engine for this a thousand times...

"places.history.enabled" doesn't seem to do it, I gave "browser.history.maxStateObjectSize" = 1 a try to no avail, "browser.urlbar.autocomplete.enabled" doesn't do what the name promises...

So, how do I avoid the history of visited URLs to be stored when using Firefox on Android? (I'm aware that deleting on exit might do the trick, but who explicitly exits their browser on mobile?!?) Has this feature been intentionally removed, as I see old screenshots with an explicit option?

I'm I'm trying to look at my unemployment claim, but when I go to the site it keeps saying Runtime Error. I copied it and this is what it says,

Runtime Error

Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.

Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".

<configuration>

   <system.web>
       <customErrors mode="Off"/>
   </system.web>

</configuration>

Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's <customErrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL.
