Firefox for Android Support Forum

I have created some firefox collections but have difficulty getting to the collections screen. On a collections help page it says "In the Collections section on the Home screen" but my android phone does not show a collections section, just icons. What is the problem? I also cannot figure out how to find the version of firefox that is installed, if that may be the issue.

I have three android devices and since u upgraded to the current version it has now become unuseable. I have tried to go backwards to an apk but sadly the software upgrades it daily. I have had firefox since it started and am now sorry to say that I have had to delete it off all my mobiles. The only useable version is the ios on my apple phone...that is still the same but if that manages to get upgraded then that will go. I have worked in IT for 30 years and this is the biggest blunder I have seen in a long time.

After Video Background Play Fix came back in versions 82-84 on Android I tried to listen to YouTube music on my Android 11 phone with FF 84. However, YouTube videos stop playing in the background every 2-5 minutes. When I bring the YouTube tab back to the screen, the page is always blank, like “about: blank”. It's very consistent. I have tested the playback in the foreground of the same videos. No problems. I have tested background playback on my old Android 8 phone with FF 67. No problem. Then, I disabled Video Background Play Fix and was surprised. I came across some weird facts. The FF 84 can play YouTube videos in the background even without this add-on, except for audio albums with multiple audio tracks like in the two examples below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hfnk8fLNURc&t=2138s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F4v45a_N4HY . When I am playing such albums YouTube stops at the end of each track. Pressing the "Play" button resumes playback but stops again at the end of the track. Playing the same albums in the foreground is no problem again. So, I have a few questions. Is this add-on compatible with the version 84? Why am I seeing a blank screen? Why does the version 84 play YouTube without this add-on? Should it? Why does Youtube stop playing audio albums on every track?

I've set my default home screen as about:home which I assume is default by default. I was wishing for a darker colorscheme/custom colorscheme! Because during day time, I tend to the use light a.k.a. the default colorscheme, however, at night, the light colorscheme literally puts strain in my eyes, and Im pretty sure any nightowls could hands down agree with that. Now, I've tried an extension called Dark background white text extension and it puts a darker color on my home screen, which is amazing, however during a search, the background unexpectedly changes to bright color. Also, the menus and the settings tab could also use a darker coloescheme! I've tried firefox nightly on my android, and liked it because of its darker colorscheme, but the basic Firefox that I'm using now, feels more comfortable (: If there's any way to implement dark mode on the app that'd be dope! Aside from that, keep up the good work!

Hello! I want to use persistant offline storage for my website. When I run following command in console: navigator.storage.persist.then(function(a) {console.log(a)}) in Desktop FireFox browser it prompts me for a permission and console.log prints "true". But when I run this command from Android version there is no permission prompt and the result is "false". Is there some condition I must to satisfy to switch storage to "persisted mode" on Android Firefox version?

In general I am able to navigate to web sites and "Add to home screen", but one web site in particular that option disappears and seems to be replaced with "Install" That is "Breitbart.com". I can navigate to the page with no problem, but no "Add to home screen" option, and when I click the "Install" option, it created a home page link, but does not open the Firefox browser. It opens what looks like an app without browser options, but I do not have the app on my phone, so I suspect opening firefox in some limited form or opening a different browser. I have firefox set to default.

When trying to login to addons.mozilla.org to add add-ons to my collection, for Firefox Nightly - it prompts me with an e-mail verification. This mail is never sent to the specified address, no matter how often I retry. I just can't seem to enter accounts.firefox.com on Firefox, on my Android device.

Ironically, there are no issues logging in using Chrome, on the same Android device, nor on other (desktop) devices. They just ask me for my 2FA code and then I'm logged in.

- I did not forget my password - I have two-factor authentication using an authentication app (Google Authenticator) - I did previously manage to log in to accounts.firefox.com (months ago) - I'm running Firefox Nightly - the latest available version from the Google Play Store - I'm signed into Firefox Sync in Firefox, with the same account - I'm also using Lockwise, with the same account

I don't know when this started, as my last login was months ago, before my botched attempts yesterday.

What are the effects of clearing cache, and maybe data too? I need to free up some space on my phone and FF has 531MB of data and 138MB of cache.

I am having trouble downloading files with Mozilla Firefox. I keep getting an error in downloading that it was not possible to download the file, e.g. pdf. what can I do? is it a blockage in the browser settings? or maybe where in the phone settings?

Hi. As I explained to everyone if I update Firefox you block an website that I been using for 5 years or more here is the web site https://gogoanime.so/ . Even after disabled the safety settings. So what is the point of updating Firefox except for the safety feature and blocking of a site I used for years. https://gogoanime.so/ . Try going in to the website in the updated version of Firefox with the safety settings on and off then tell me how to access the website I used for years
