I have no idea what is happening... But after restarting, clearing my cache, making sure I have data and it is working for other apps... Still no results.

No matter what, whether I try to type in a URL, click on a link in the google app, or refresh a page I already have open, the app doesn't even attempt to load a page or throw up an error. Just a blank background, no loading bar, no error messages, and no redirects...

Hi there I have used Firefox on my android phone for the longest time, and never had an issue. A couple of days ago it crashed immediately on trying to open it. I repeated trying to open it across the course of the day - but continued crashing. I deleted it, and have set to use Chrome. I reinstalled Firefox - same issue. I am not techy-techy (!) but would like to have Firefox back on my phone as all my passwords are there. Any help appreciated Thank you :)

after updating to Firefox android 97.1.0 I face this error. while playing youtube video in full screen, bottom navigation bar is visible making it half baked full screen mode. later found it is same in other video playing websites too... Firefox goes fullscreen mode automatically while navigating in youtube and quite buggy in navigation bar.

I had no issues with previous version. I shouldn't have updated. I received only bugs in this update and no improvements. using Firefox in LG G8X running Android 11.

please fix this bug or share any possible solution available.

Android Firefox v114.1.0 (Build #2015955411), 4bddc25255+ Samsung Galaxy S9+ Android v10

Hello,

Firefox was upgraded on my Android phone to the version above yesterday, and all existing tabs or any new websites are now blank (see second image attached). No page will load, no open tabs have any content / cant reload them etc. Clearing cache for the app, hasnt worked either.

Just hoping there is a fix rather than blowing everything away and then finding out there is still an issue.

I'm using Android 13 and Firefox is updated to the latest update. When I Google something and select an image, Firefox freezes and I either have to reload the page and the image will load or I have to close & reopen the app and switch to the Images tab. This is on the main Google search page. Images selected in the Google Images tab work as expected.

I'm having an issue with Firefox on Android. On certain websites (e.g., Yahoo News, Calscape.org, Google search results--with Goggle Search Fixer add-on enabled), I can scroll down the page without issue, but scrolling slowly back up toward the top of the page with downward drags of my finger is only responsive half of the time. That is, I can only scroll back up with every-other downward swipe/drag of my finger. This odd behavior does not happen with other mobile browsers (I'm on Android 13 and using a Galaxy A53 5G). Any suggestions?

So I have installed Firefox on my Galaxy S20 Plus running Android 12. All permissions are granted and everything is working except the camera. When testing it with https://webcammictest.com/ it ask for permission to use the camera and mic. I of cause allow the use and afterwards it says: The device is not found.

I have tested the mic alone and it is working. The test site is also working in Chrome, Edge, Vivaldi and Brave. So chromium browser do not have any issue with the camera or mic. I have also tried other tests sites with the same result.

I first noticed it when I had to call my doctor which sent a link to a site with camera feedback on. I was surprised and stressed about it wasn't working. Having a doctor waiting and a sick child, while installing Chrome to get it working, was not a fun experience.

Can not save images from Google Images, by holding down on the image, and then tapping save image. The menu simply does not pop-up. Holding down on the image results in selection of the image description below. Sometimes you can not save it form the website either, but that is because of website configuration and you can not save it on other browsers, but on other browsers you can save from Google Images by holding down on an image, so it is only the issue of Firefox and not the Google Images website. This issue seems to be present for over 2 years based on online feedback, and it is still not fixed.

As with other recent posters on this support forum, I am also experiencing the bug on Firefox for Android 114.2.0 where all pages fail to load, only a blank screen is shown, along with the padlock icon having a red slash.

This started 2 days ago when I updated to Firefox 114.2.0 and also updated to Android 13 patch level June 1, 2023.

I will attach screenshots of the blank page, the Firefox about page, the Play Store app info, and the Settings app info.

I have gone through this support forum, and it looks like all of these posts are for the same issue: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1416843 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1416646 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1416800 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1416794 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1416820 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1416783 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1415832 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1416685 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1412113 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1416247 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1405626 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1416112 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1416294 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1416350 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1416113 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1416263 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1416061 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1416241 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1416330 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1415775 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1415892 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1415735 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1415819

To me, from reading through these pages and other places online, it appears that the problem is triggered by an update to a recent version of Firefox, an update to a recent version of Android, or a combination of both. It also appears that updating the app will fix the issue (updating at all, not updating to a specific version), or reinstalling the app. Some have said they had luck with clearing the cache and restarting their phone. Some have also said that despite these fixes working temporarily, the issue reoccurred for them.

Many recent reviews in the Google Play Store page seem to be talking about this issue: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.mozilla.firefox&hl=en_US&gl=US I will also attach screenshots of a few of the relevant reviews.

Here is also a forum post on Lemmy talking about this issue: https://lemmy.ml/post/1541824

I figure that I will just be able to wait for the next version of Firefox to be released, and it will fix itself, since I do not want to lose my browser data. I am just making this post because I was wondering if this is a known issue to the devs, or if they read the support forum or the Play Store reviews. I tried looking through the issue tracker at https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/describecomponents.cgi?product=Fenix but I could not find any relevant entries.

Thanks for any response! Not trying to bug anyone or be negative, Firefox is amazing and I am super appreciative for all of the devs, and the community. I thought maybe collecting all the info in one place might be helpful for someone.

When visiting this page, https://pluralkit.me/commands/#system-commands, and using "find in page" the find it page prompt just randomly closes. It happens a few ways. A few times I've been halfway through typing my search query, and on the third letter, the prompt & my keyboard disappear. Every other time I hit the "next item" button a few times and on the 1-6th time, the prompt disappears. I can re-open it but it loses my search query, and it's annoying.

I'm using Firefox

98.3.0 (Build #2015870331), b1a12ce69+ AC: 98.0.13, a31f2c481a GV: 98.0.2-20220322144853 AS: 91.0.1

On Android 12 (SP2A.220305.013.A3) on a Pixel 6 Pro. No add-ons. I've tried restarting the Firefox app.

Does not appear to happen on a few other websites I've tried.

i try to login on bahn.de. they redesigned the login-procedure recently. and with the new login it crashes the Firefox tab reproducible on my phone. i get the `Firefox can't load that page` message. on of the crash reports can be found at https://crash-stats.mozilla.org/report/index/d3962d01-f863-4f6c-908d-3d4af0211103

i have cleaned up with `Privacy and Security` - `Delete browsing data` (all options set) and also did clean the cash for the firefox app from the system settings.

the url is (i removed the nonce and state values) https://accounts.bahn.de/auth/realms/db/protocol/openid-connect/auth?cancel_uri=https%3A%2F%2Ffahrkarten.bahn.de%2Fprivatkunde%2Flogin%2Fidmredirect.post%3Flang%3Dde%26country%3DDEU%26scope%3DCANCEL&showRegisterWithBahnCard=true&kc_locale=de&showSoftLogin=true&scope=openid&response_type=code&redirect_uri=https%3A%2F%2Ffahrkarten.bahn.de%2Fprivatkunde%2Flogin%2Fidmredirect.post%3Flang%3Dde%26country%3DDEU%26scope%3DRETURN&state=0&showReloginMessage=false&nonce=0&client_id=fe_esuite

the original url was 551 characters long.

my first impression was that the url may be to long.. i tried to shorten it - https://accounts.bahn.de/auth/realms/db/protocol/openid-connect/auth?cancel_uri=https%3A%2F%2Fbahn.de&kc_locale=de&showSoftLogin=true&scope=openid&response_type=code&redirect_uri=https%3A%2F%2Ffahrkarten.bahn.de&state=0&nonce=0&client_id=fe_esuite (247 characters) this one worked in the desktop browser but also crashes in firefox android. the crash happens latest when i click on the `Angemeldet bleiben` checkbox. on a next try it happened shortly after the loading without user interaction.

Firefox Version: ``` 93.2.0 (Build #2015839745) AC: 93.0.12, e39f5dba3f GV: 93.0-20210927210923 AS: 82.1.0 ```

OS ``` Android 7.1.2 LineageOS 14.1 ``` and yes - i know this is a very outdated OS version...

the main problem is that this login is needed to authenticate in the *db navigator app*.

with some workarounds i managed to do a successful login in the app:

  • switch system default browser to the *stock browser* app
  • click login button in *db navigator app*
  • stock browser opens with login page
  • fill in & click login
  • stock browser does not know how to handle returned url (example below)
  • copy returned url to clipboard
  • open firefox
  • past url
  • open menu and click on *open in app*
  • *db navigator app* launches and accepts the login
  • i am happy again ;-)

hopefully this is only the case for such old OS versions and this way does not effect anyone else...

are there any other things i can do for better fix the issue in the first place?

Firefox on my android phone times out on any webpage whenever I am not connected to a Wi-Fi. All webpages and IP addresses timeout with no response. Same issue occurs on Firefox Beta app and Firefox Nightly. All other applications work as expected with full internet access on mobile data. The same pages/addresses respond as expected on Chrome and the built-in browser.

Simply put, all Firefox apps have no internet connectivity on mobile data.

Solutions I've attempted with no success or change: Re-install Firefox. Logging out of Firefox Sync. Clear Firefox data and cache. Disabling tracking protection. Disabling HTTPS-only mode. No proxy settings are enabled. Confirmed Firefox application has mobile data network privileges. Disabling, re-enabling mobile data network privs. Installing Firefox Beta and Firefox Nightly; same issue.

Another possibly related issue: Firefox does not follow routes from a Cisco AnyConnect VPN on my phone. Opening pages/IP addresses routed through the VPN are rejected or timeout as if the VPN is not active at all. The same pages/addresses respond as expected on Chrome and the built-in browser. This occurs over Wi-Fi as well, of course nothing works on mobile data as described above.

Device: Oneplus 8T (KB2003) OS: OxygenOS 13.1 (Android 13) Firefox version: 117.0.1

I have the problem that Firefox does not correctly recognize when I want to scroll up on a web page. This often causes me to accidentally refresh the page. Usually this should only happen when I'm already at the top of the website and then swipe down again and not in the middle of the website. I have even tried Firefox Nightly and Klar, but the issue occurs with every browser. Is there perhaps some trick or hidden setting that causes the browser to scroll reasonably again instead of constantly refreshing the website?
