I have not been about to open new tabs for a while I guess this is due to upgrade I never realized this until I downloaded Firefox on my chromebook. Is anything that can be done or are we just out of luck now when using Firefox also what happen to the search bar is that gone forever as well. I really liked firefoxbut looks like have to find omitting else that wil work for my needs. Finally, is the menu bar gone as well. Please advise and answer all questions ty

How do i stop firefox from opening a new tab everytime i open Firefox? I just want one tab unless i choose to open something in a new tab. Everyday i end up with like 30 tabs and it's slowing my phone down.

The browser stopped working since last week. Before when i opened the browser, i can see it loading. But nowadays, the loading is gone and only black screen is left. I cannot even access add-on. Its just loading

How to access inactive tabs in Firefox for Android? In options I have set to never close tabs but an option for inactive tabs was set to 2 weeks. So I assumed that there is somewhere a list of inactive tabs that you can access and activate them.

Looking for support on searching for tabs on Firefox for Android which is similar to the [version] .

I was browsing through Firefox and as usual I had more than 30 tabs open. I have set them to never close and move old tabs to inactive ones. I was watching a video in a tab and closed Firefox then open another app in cellphone and then after some hours I reopen Firefox and there was only 1 tab (wordreference.com) What happened to the other 30 tabs? They're nowhere. I looked for support and there are many threads and videos for the desktop version but almos inexistent for Firefox Android version. There must be an explanation for this issue and perhaps a solution or workaround. Thank you.

I think it would be more convenient if the list of inactive tabs opened in portions, starting with the newest ones, with an option to open the whole list in case someone needs that. That would allow for better performance and reduce the time spent scrolling to the end of the list

All of a sudden I started getting a strange download indication which didn't show up when I looked for it. Since then, when I press "+ New Tabs," a new tab doesn't open. A new tab opens only when I've clicked on a new link for a topic.

I cleared the cache, restarted my phone twice and un-and re-installed Firefox twice. I was originally synced with Firefox on my other phones, but I don't want to sign in again with that email until this problem is fixed. I haven't opened Firefox again on my previous phones since this all started. I'm going to cry if those versions are "infected" with this problem as well. I just can't erase all the data I've previously accumulated within Firefox on those devices, either.

Now I've looked in Firefox Support for this problem and I've looked again and again for a way to restart in Safe Mode, but I can't find it. Could someone please help me diagnose and fix this issue?

When Adding a Shortcut to the Android Home Screen, it allows you with a pop-up option to Rename the Shortcut before placing it on your Home Screen.

However, when attempting to Install a Progressive Web App (from compatible Web App web sites), and clicking Install, it does NOT give you the opportunity to Rename the Shortcut.

In contrast, Chrome/Android allows the name change in both cases (non-Web App and Web App sites).

Is this feature in the works on FireFox Android?

Is there a work-around to Rename Shortcuts either before or after placing them on the Home Screen ?

Hi so few days ago I broke my phone it's now completely unusable so now in this new phone I signed into Firefox and sure I got all my synced bookmarks and all but where are my saved tab collections?? That feature is so good which is why I saved like 30 tabs in there but none of them show up after sync please help!

On the mobile app for Android (Google Pixel 2 XL, Android version 11), there's this really annoying issue where tabs are constantly duplicated. Normally, it's when I search something on Google (through Firefox). It pulls up the search results, of course. But when I hit a link, here's what happens: the tab is redirected as it should be, but simultaneously another tab is opened, which is a duplicate of the original tab (the one with the search results), and Firefox switches to view that tab, tab 2. So I have to go back to tab 1 to see whatever, and usually I then close tab 2. After this, once I've been hit a few links on a single tab, caused that tab to redirect a few times, it stops doing this. I've also noticed a similar issue, specifically with Google images in Firefox. Sometimes, when I open a picture to view it, every time I go to the tab with the picture, it opens a tab of the Google images page (before I selected a picture). This will happen endlessly sometimes, every time I open the tab to view the picture, meaning I never actually get to see the picture.

I was wondering if there's any way to mute individual tabs in Firefox for android like you can in desktop versions. I can't seem to find an option for our but maybe I'm missing something.

If that's not possible, are there any plans yet to bring this feature to mobile? It's a useful one and one I wish I had a long time ago.

I open a new tab (link from email or a other page usually). I read the bloody thing. I click the number of open tabs to display all open. I close the tab with the x. It goes away (closes). It gives me the option to undo. I wait until that goes away. I wait few more seconds and swipe down on the "open tabs" frame. It closes and the number says 7. It agrees with what I see open, and the visible content is from tab #7 I wait 5 minutes. I close Firefox and wait 5-10 minutes. I open Firefox... I'm up to 22 now. This has been going on for about a week (at least) now.

In the past before this started happening, occasionally if I was moving too fast it would happen, so I would go slower (I thought cache) and it would work. Now, it's ridiculous.

NOTE : there are 7 tabs I want to keep open for now... I've been trying to close all the rest for some time now!

Is there a way to search through my open tabs? If not, PLEASE create that feature.

Also, is there a way to see the previous pages that have been opened in a tab? Right now, I have to just keep backspacing through previous tabs hoping to find the one I'm looking for. If not, please ad d a way to view and select previously opened tabs before I start backspacing through them.

Is there a way to sort open tabs, at least alphabetically? If not, that would be a very nice feature to have.

When I press the home button, the tab I was on remains in the background and a new tab is opened if I tap on one of the shortcuts. Is it possible to make it so that it stays in the same tab like on PC?
