The latest update of firefox 135.0 for Android has audio issues. When I listen to music on bandcamp or you tube the audio makes a crackeling sound with sporadic drop outs. My wi fi is a very stable fiber optic provider, I did restet the router and run speed test to double check. Not a problem with my Bluetooth headphones since I re paired them. I also re installed Firefox to no avail. Samsung internet has no audio issues currently. I turned off u block origin also. It seems to be isolated to firefox version 135.0. My system is Android 14 with ui 6.1 on a Samsung a23 5g. I have seen other users complain about this with no real answer. Spent a good part of the day trying to figure it out.

Hello, after updating the mobile Firefox to version 135, I encountered a problem. When I start speeding up video playback on YouTube, a clicking sound regularly appears, as if it’s a micro-stutter in the audio. I uninstalled and reinstalled the browser, and the issue persists even on a clean browser with no extensions. A similar issue also exists in the beta version of Firefox 136 and the nightly version 137, which I installed for testing without making any changes. To check, I installed Firefox 134 again, and the issue does not occur there. My phone, the Tecno Pova 6 Neo, is relatively powerful with an 8-core processor at 2.2 GHz and 8 GB of RAM. Operating system HiOS 14 on Android 14. Could you help me? Thank you.

Starting today, YouTube on Android Firefox using below version of Firefox, the audio distorts and has a continual popping clicking on each word of an audio podcast when you speed up the YouTube video to 1.5 or 1.75 prior to today it was fine ... The audio is still understandable but distorted when using one of these speed up settings

Using the Chrome browser, everything is fine on the speed up settings on YouTube.com

As explained in the title. On my Galaxy A15, i tested the browser version of Reddit, Youtube, Behance, Instagram and even 4chan. All give the videos as corrupted or stuck on loading.

I already tried cleaning Cookies and site data, the history, already tried disabling all the add-ons, already checked for updates and reinstalling the app. I tested the same websites listed above on Opera and they worked perfectly. Please tell me if there is anything else i should try

When listening to YouTube in the background, sound is distorted and stutters frequently, which makes it pretty much unusable. Audio is okay when Firefox is in the foreground, but as soon as I lock the phone, audio stutters appear.

I found one fix on Reddit, disabling HD sound in developer options, but I was unable to try it since nobody explained how to get to these developer options, I wasn't able to find that setting myself.

It started happening since 135, was in beta as well. I opted out of beta because of it, but it came on stable release as well so now both beta and stable versions has this issue.

Has anybody encounter that or have fix?

Audio in firefox (for android) is crackling when using headphones, no matter what the type (mp4, mp3). Already tested this on the newest version of: normal, beta, nightly and focus. I think on nightly it happens less, but instead there is also a bit of stuttering

I don't think it's the phones or headphones fault since audio from other browsers (Chrome, Brave, DuckDuckGo) or apps (YouTube, Spotify) works perfectly fine. It doesn't occur on PC, so it's probably only the android version.

• Phone - Samsung Galaxy A54
• Headphones - WF-1000XM5
• Firefox versions: 135.0; 136.0b5; 137.0a1

• Youtube's video audio playback has a bit of 'choppiness' on it, there was this clicking sound everytime. I tested on Chromium-based browsers and this issue is non-existent to them, previous versions of Firefox for Android also does not seem to have this issue as per my experience.
• Bing search results on Firefox v135.0.1 for Android also sometimes becomes incompletely loaded and reloading the website does not seem to help, only up to half of the search results for the first page is loaded as the middle to bottom of the website is not loaded anymore.

https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1810514 This issue being open for 2 years+ and still the issue not being fixed is absolutely laughable Considering many videos i see on YouTube about a day in a life of software developer.. they do absolutely nothing.. 90% time they eating, playing and sleeping.. 10% time checking emails or laptop(please dont take it for a software developer who works hard everyday) That's it thats what you guys get paid for ? thats why firefox is firefox.. their dev team is absolute trash at addressing issues fast or at a acceptable time.. i guess thats how most tech companies are and its the new norm

After the past few updates, I have been noticing choppy audio on Youtube at higher playback speeds. I have tried clearing cookies, cache. The issue persists.

Unrelated but video playback on Youtube at 1080p 2x is laggy, don't know if its my phone

static in youtube music even after I uninstalled reinstalled Etc... also went to YouTube directly and there's no problem there it's only when I go through Firefox.

I am watching youtube in Android mozilla browser. Some videos have AI sound instead of original voice. But I can't change it back to original. There is an opito5of audio in setting in youtube app but not in mozilla. Can you please consider this problem. Thanks

I watch a youtube vid in FF, while say it's halfway through I close FF. The audio of the vid continues, sofar the only eay to stop it is to restart my phone.

This is new, started happening a few days ago. FF 136

When I video chat the person I am talking to (different people) they say it sounds like buzzing or vibration. Can anyone help me fix this. Also they can see me if it makes a difference.

Currently, Firefox for Android can continue to play videos even after you switch tabs or apps. Could you give an option that allows the user to set whether or not the video is played in the background?
