I'm a bit of a privacy freak, so I'm using my own password manager, not Firefox's built-in service. I have it synced on my Android phone, and my password manager app works well with Android's own "Autofill Service", i.e., in various apps and browsers, when I click on a field that looks like a username or a password, a small window pops up, offering me to autofill this credential field using my password manager. This feature works well with the Chrome for Android browser, but sadly it does not work reliably with Firefox for Android. I occasionally see the popup appear for a blink, but then it disappears quickly, and more often than not, it doesn't pop up at all. I wonder what is special in Firefox that breaks this very convenient feature.

Any help would be appreciated.

I've seen it on multiple sites, so it might be a browser issue. Here is what happens:

-I tap on link A. -Browser opens link B instead.

It is random, like 5% of all Fark.com taps and 10% of all Reddit.com taps. But the website registers the tap to have occurred at a different spot on a page/screen other than the actual spot on my screen where I tap, always on a lower part of the screen. I keep my screen clean, so it can't be that. I have not experienced this with my previous phone, which also used Firefox for Android (installed August 2019, never updated). The version I am using now was installed on my new phone (installed December 2020, never updated). So what is going on? Is it my phone? Is it the browser? Is it these script-heavy websites?

Using my Lenovo 10" tablet I just couldn't understand why I wasn't able to scroll at all in yandex.com under images when it took me to a second window, whenever I choose (clicked) any image using the desktop mode in landscape orientation, and why the screen would just flash white and take a long time for the images to come in when scrolling through the first search results screen as well? I thus and reluctantly download other browsers just to see if this issue was universal and it is definitely not. The other popular yet unnamed browsers work flawlessly in both regards and this truly stumped me as to why the firefox browser couldn't do the same? Today I decided to download the firefox browser on my Android phone, as believe it or not I only use the phone for outgoing and incoming calls, as my aging eyes just can't see things on these devices, and it Unbelievably worked flawlessly in landscape and stadard orientation as well. I then put my tablet in standard orientation and it Unbelievably worked great. All I then could conclude and I definitely may be wrong here, which I really hope I am, yet it seems firefox on a tablet in the desktop mode in landscape orientation doesn't work like it does on an android phone and I just don't understand why? Because of this unfortunate limitation in this great browser on a tablet I'm now regretfully "forced" to keep and use another browser whenever using yandex.com or any site that could yeild the same issue and if anyone graciously has the solution minus using my tablet in standard orientation I would very greatly appreciate it? Regards, S.D.

I have been using ff on Android for years. Now maybe one year i have not been able to find my downloads ANYWHERE on the phone. Downloads also seems to take for ages to complete. And when it completes it may be i can open it once by clickin the notification its ready, but after that it dissapears.

I have read some people have been having this issue for years also. I think its something what ff wont fix. Do i need to change the the browser just for this idiotic reason?

The recent update to Firefox for Android caused the microphone to disappear on the search bar. I checked the settings and I have Show Voice Search toggled on, and I have given permission for Firefox to use the microphone, so I don't know what's going on.

I just opened the app the other day and saw the "What's new" screen. Since then, there is no way to speak a phrase or keywords into the Firefox toolbar.

Has anyone else had that problem?

So i want to add a custom search engine (Startpage specifically) in Firefox Android. After adding I notice Firefox didn't get the icon of the search engine, but using a generated icon (simply a letter 's') which is kind of ugly considering I want to use it as default search engine and the icon would stay in my new tab.

Is there any way to add the icon, or other way to solve my problem?

I tried to log in to my Android Firefox app today. But it wouldn't accept my password. I didn't want to request a new password since all my bookmarks and history would then be erased.

I spent an hour today trying to figure out what my password was. A big waste of time. It turned out that the password prompt for the Firefox app on Android automatically switches the caps lock key on. Hence my entering the wrong password. This is reproducible. Can you please fix this? Thanks Patrick McGuire

Hello all,

I have my bookmarks synced between android and desktop. On my desktop, I have literally hundreds of folders and subfolders.

When i'm on Android, and want to save a bookmark in one of my folders, the list of all folders and subfolders show up expanded (uncollapsed).

When they are expanded, it is almost impossible to find the folder i need. I have to scroll down dozens of "pages" of folders and subfolders everytime I simply want to bookmark a page in the right folder.

Please see the image attached. This is only a tiny portion of the list. It goes on like that for dozens of pages.

Is there any solution for that ?

The simple solution would be that Firefox collapses all the folders by default, and when we click on one it expands. Basically what is done on most systems of folder/subfolders.

Kind regards,

Adrien

With collections, pocket and other innovations, I can't understand how Mozilla.org thinks one should use a web browser. An example is the lack of the ability to print to pdf. This is vital to preserve information before it has been altered to make it more politically acceptable to the powers that be. I've been using the Internet since 1990 and I'm struggling to follow the logic of Firefox for Android.
