Ive been using firefox on every device for decades. This has never happened. I had 90+ tabs open, I hadn't finished sorting and saving. I've been apartment hunting so many tabs were important links. Somehow, I wasn't even doing anything with tabs, all gone. I have my complete history and 10 most recent. All I have is my phone right now, now computer access. Please tell me there is something to be done. Samsung galaxy a15

A few days ago, I was able to go to my list of inactive tabs, click on one to open it, and then swipe through tabs in order to open a large amount of them at once. Today, this no longer works. Is this an update or a bug? There's no other good way to open a large amount of inactive tabs at once.

I find it extremely annoying that on the Desktop all URLs I open are on the same tab unless I request otherwise but on Android all URLs I open from Home open in a new tab which can result in a huge number of tabs being open. When are the developers going to provide an option to open new URLs on the same Tab unless I request otherwise. On a device like a phone with limited memory this makes no sense, my wife often ends up with so many tabs open her phone crashes. I know there is a setting to close on exit but on Android that only works if you select exit which my wife often forgets so she ends up with 30 open tabs!

A facility to circumvent this is long overdue.

I see that I can select multiple tabs in a collection I put together on my home screen, but where is the menu option to open all selected tabs?

Also, is there one to simply "open all collection tabs"?

I also noticed that I can edit the custom title name of a shortcut link on my home page, but I can't find out how to do the same for a collection list of links. I'm searching for user guides on the Collections feature for Android but not faring well at it. I fully admit this is my own fault and I'm sorry to be a burden. Normally I can troubleshoot well but I've been ill and the treatments are almost worse than the troubles. ;)

Any time I use Firefox on my Samsung S20 FE Android phone, and bring another app to the foreground or even access another app from the browser (for example, to load an image onto a web page), the browser refreshes and the web page in the foreground resets. This happens even with Battery = Unrestricted set for Firefox. Is there any else I need to do?

I use Firefox Android.

Some websites enable a kind of "close guard" confirm modal that asks you if you really want to leave the website when you reload or, normally, when you close the tab [Screenshot of this attached, sorry it's in German]. This is usually to protect unsaved text that you've written on there or similar stuff.

On Firefox Android, when I reload a tab with this enabled, it does prevent the reload and show the modal. However, in opposition to Firefox Desktop, the modal is not shown when a tab with this enabled is closed via swiping gesture or pressing the X on the tab overview.

That can lead to frustrating loss of data bc of accidentally closing a tab, even though the website already has enabled a measure to prevent that!

It would be very useful to have the confirm modal be shown on Tab Closure on Firefox Android too.

The browser always refreshes the website page by itself, opening the page and switching the browser to the backend or foreground but resting the screen for a while will force the page to refresh, and data that has been entered but not submitted is lost.

At first I thought it was a wrong setting or a problem with the extension. After I reinstalled it, it still occurs, and it happens with all versions (nightly version, iceraven and waterfox as well).

Looking into the information I thought it was the WebSocket live link that would automatically disconnect to save power, and network fluctuations as well. Disconnecting switches to the connection prompt screen, which looks like a refresh. Maybe my guess is wrong.

I currently mitigated this by modifying the "media.aboutwebrtc.auto_refresh.peerconnection_section" function to false to alleviate this, but it still forces the page to refresh.

This is a feature regression that happened probably 2 years ago and has finally irritated me enough to make a ticket. If I click in the address bar and type a new address or search, I want to close the tab I am on and navigate to the address or search that I entered.

Doing that on desktop has the desired behavior of using the same tab and navigating away.

Doing this on android used to be like desktop.

Now it is awful and you end up with a million not closed tabs.

What is worse is clicking back from that first new search tab leaves the tab open and goes back to the tab you were just on.

So now I have two tabs one of which is orphaned the next time I search something and I will forget about it.

I tried to look for flags on android to flip it back, but you got rid of these I think the same release the behavior changed.

Sincerely someone who used to have like maybe 15 tabs and now has a few thousand all because of your crummy decision to not close tabs when navigating away.

I'm having a problem often, after a search, when I navigate to a result. Within a few seconds, there's a slight delay for processing and I will be back on my page of search results. It just seems like this is happening pretty often all of a sudden.

It seems like there's some reason it wasn't done with the previous page, and it's reloading? It could be a Google script gone awry, for all I know.

Maybe this would be a bug report, but I can't rule out a settings change or accidental touch inputs that cause my browsing problems. This aging phone's speed may be giving it difficulty processing touch input. Maybe the digitizer is being weird and interpreting a touch on the back button. Let me know what you think.

Hello everyone, I don't know where it comes from (my screen or moz update), but I have a problem I didn't have before. When I open the tabs menu, the option to close a tab by sliding it laterally is way too sensitive. When I slide vertically to navigate, I very often close one of my tabs. Very annoying. I checked in the parameters if there was an option to deactivate that (Especially that there are crosses on each tabs to close them. The lateral sliding is pretty useless). Is there an option in about/config to deactivate that parameter please ? Thanks in advance.

i really need to PERMANENTLY DISABLE the infernal, default auto-refresh session on return to already opened tab. tyranny of the default on Android.

if/when i want to refresh that session, i'll do so MANUALLY.

i want this, not only in alpha, but beta & standard, too. so, it just can't be buried in about:config, which is nanny-state removed from standard. it must be exposed in UI Settings.

i'm not the first or only to request this.
