I had have an iPad Pro running the latest IOS 26 and Firefox Focus. When I fire it up, if I have my keyboard attached, the cursor appears briefly for a second and then disappears. It’s like the cursor focus leaves the URL area of the browser.

If I disconnect my keyboard, I can click in there and use the on screen keyboard. Once I do that and enter anything [and hit enter], then it will work from that point. So this appears to only affect initial use of the app. I can click up there and type anything after that first submission and it works.

I.opened Firefox today and it felt like Google had taken it over. It was fairly scary. It took some time for me to figure out how to get to Firefox settings and disable Google as my search engine.

Please share a link about what Google (AI??) is doing and how Mozilla is dealing with this. What can users do by way of publicizing what Google is doing and defeating its… (read more)

Google is the only search engine that will open a page. When using Firefox iOS to search, find your way back to a better search engine (below) appears after downloading the app. It seems to be in a loop that will not allow me t open any url. I believe my phone has flexispy (or some kind of spyware) downloaded on it and this is one search engine that it possibly cannot track, so it doesn’t function at all? Could this be the cause of this continuous loop that sends me back to download the app?
